  • OK Extreme Mustang Makeover 2021, Day Five Part One
My mare spends the night in a stall, we get a of of groundwork done, pick up front feet, and prepare for a rider! I had to split this day into two videos because there was just too much to include. I hope you guys enjoy watching this video and let me know if you have any questions on anything we did!
In the next video we progress with mounting and saddling!

I really love seeing your groundwork videos, that's something I really need to work on myself! I rescued a 12 year old mustang in a near-emergency situation last summer. She'd be confined to a stall for 5 years, so I did limited work with her in the beginning (since her very poor health was a priority) and kind of just let her be a horse out with my other mare over the winter. Turns out she's ride-able and the sweetest thing in the world, but she just needs more groundwork and memory refreshers. I'm certainly not a horse trainer and lack confidence frequently, but watching your videos give me ideas on how to improve! :) I don't plan on turning my Rogue into a dressage champion or anything, but I'm excited to see what she's capable of.

Another youtube horseperson I follow always has a treat on her hand when she puts on a bridle, so bit goes in together with something yummy. Is that something that would be useful here??
And to add even more names to the idea pot: Rapunzel (in case you don't get quite enough names thrown at you xD)
