This is the first video I came across that also gave videos on how to install back up camera. YOu also did a great job at breaking down each part of the product. So thank you very much!
Hi, does it support the ADAS and does it show the grid lines of the camera while driving, while changing lanes , distance between the front car and the rear car.
Is there an option to mount this to a windshield? This is what I'm looking for - I just would like to see another mounting option if any existed for it. Thank you!
Can you use the rear camera as just a rear camera for recording and stuff (already have a reverse camera) furthermore if my car 3rd party media panel only has usb could I use a 3.5mm audio jack to usb so I can play sound from my car or how do I connect it to the sound system? I have no aux port
Can this unit continuously run an image from a camera on the back of a caravan AT THE SAME TIME as showing an image (using the split screen function) as showing a map image using Apple CarPlay from an iPhone running the Apple Maps app. That’s not using the Video input for a reversing camera on the vehicle - I already have that on my built in AV head unit.
I tried a couple of these models and found a feature which stopped me from using this. That is only one phone pair at a time. This means that if there are more than one driver of the same car, it becomes an annoyance to unpair one device and join another every time. Also, the last bluetooth pairing will automatically connect and start android auto/carplay of that phone is within range, even if that phone is not in car but inside house or nearby. That makes it a bit difficult to unpair the bluetooth because the unpair screen will not come easily. You have to go to bluetooth music option and disconnect bluetooth from there. So, basically not user friendly in case of multiple drivers and multiple phones.
Just installed this in my 2012 Chevrolet Malibu, but the rearview camera does not pop up ok the screen when reversing. Only works when you change the display to camera manually… any solutions?
So what about doing the review? What is the difference between the fm transmitter, and the line out? How does the transmitter compare with others that are stand alone, and is it a line out of an aux out, and what is the power output for it. If it’s an lower powered audio output, then the radio will be ran at an higher volume, thus producing a nasty sound, if it is loud enough at all. The same thing for the fm transmitter. What about the resolution of the screen, type of technical in the screen? Dash cams, how are the recording day/night, what about the transitions from dark to light, you know how at night the car that’s driving towards you, can cause the dash cam to be unusable for a few seconds. How does it handle light/dark, direct sun/parked car in the country. What format, quality, length, and can they be changed, and how, for the recording’s from the dascams.
This looks like the device I am looking for. (Android Auto, front Dash cam recording, rear camera recording and reversing camera) I have 2 questions; 1. I drive a right hand drive car on the left of the road. The 'function buttons" are on the left hand side of the screen , which is further away fro me as a driver. Can they be swapped to the right hand end to be nearer to the driver? 2. Reversing camera - is the image "as is" or is it "flipped" so it is the same as the image in the cars original glass mirror? If not is there an option to do this?
Hey... great video man, and thanks for the thorough explanation. Unfortunately for me, I was looking for a combo in which I can get a similar display with CarPlay and a 360 - bird view camera system, but I couldn't find anything in the market. So I ended up buying two separate brands. The output of the camera system is a RCA video male plug with a trigger wire, but the input of the display (Carpuride 10.3") is just a female 2.5mm "cam-in" jack. I bought a "regular" cable adapter which clearly doesn't transmit any voltage when I switch to reverse, so the display doesn't show any video feed... Is there a special cable I can buy? (I've got ZERO tech support from both manufacturers) or should I return all I bought and get the Trumsey combo you are showing here? PS - I have already installed the 360 video system, 4 cameras, etc... meaning holes in the rear view mirrors, etc... I am quite frustrated since I noticed the cable this Trumsey is using (which is not the usual to hook up to a regular head unit).
@@unkown9270 I think it is a good landscape screen. Image is good, CarPlay works seemlessly. A little too “plasticky”. @@McFred1065 You don't need a special trigger wire. For the 2.5mm AV-in jack уоu can use a 4-pole 2.5mm to 3 RCA (or 3.5 + an adapter in case уоu don't find 2.5), the idea is that the yellow wire is the video feed, while the red wire is the trigger (white wire is not used), so уоu really only need 2 wires. Yоu then can connect an accessory (ACC) wire from the fuse box or reverse light to the red RCA cable and it'll trigger the monitor to switch to the camera feed. This is how all those generic chinese monitors with a trigger wire work.
