- Poker Coach Pete Clarke reviews 10 of his recent hands played at 100 Rush and Cash where he is going to start putting in volume to prove that big winrates are still possible even in high rake online poker cash games. This video focusses on how to find the highest EV play at the table. Getting good at poker theory is not the full story; you need to work out which option maximises your winrate in every spot.
Love the lower stakes analysis 🙏 all the blocker talk in 100nl etc can often be overrated when playing against this kind of pool because they just constantly call you down with second pair, top pair low kicker etc
Your very slowly persuading me into looking at your courses but not yet! keep it coming!
This feels like a Mrs Doyle moment from Father Ted
personally like the deep dives or more in depth reviews better!
I actually love the speed of this. Not that I dont mind the hour long 10 hand review videos but this would be great to see at the micros against villians who have 40 BPiP
Raising 44 IP in a 3bp was the most interesting to me. Definitely not a play I have in my arsenal yet.
It's not a thing in theory, even against a range bet, but it probably overperforms against a pool that overfolds because they're forced to continue really wide against such a small raise. In my solver, villain is meant to usually call with Axo with a diamond, small pairs (77, 66, 55), and meant to bluff-raise with hands like QJ, QT, JT, J9 with a diamond. If you node lock so they're folding the small Axo with a diamond (A7, A5, A4) and never bluff the QJ/QT/JT/J9 with a diamond, suddenly the small raise becomes a low-frequency play. Solver prefers doing it with weak Ax and low pairs without a diamond (probably because all pairs with a diamond have decent SDV), so it's not doing it with this specific hand, but it's definitely an exploitative play worth studying/adding to your repertoire against range betters.
Yeah people often miss these. Try to see them as semi bluffs that get very useful fold equity when they get weaker hands to fold.
Happy Halloween. Another absolutely sick video here...
My problem is the amount of times I hit total scare cards. Usually flush completers and often 4 cards to the straight or the absolute worse set makers that shouldn’t be in the hand.
Excellent work as always Pete
Never thought it for a second Pete.
I guess my question on the 66 hand is what nutted hands check the turn and jam the river? KT I guess? I feel like I would want to keep building the pot on the turn if I had a set, and a big bet on turn into river jam might be a more believable bluff line?
I think rasing spot 44 BP was a bit out of line in my opinion..
I’ve been looking for ways to get better at poker and found that the BigBetTeam Discord server is a goldmine. Great tips and a friendly community have made all the difference for me..
Really enjoyed this!!
Last hand you chop vs AT and A8
Would you never consider raising KT otr in the first hand vs the half pot bet?
No, that would be a blunder. It’s true that there is some worse Tx getting here but there is more Ax and air and neither of those is something we want to raise against. I’d imagine our equity is around 50% or so here
- more than enough to call but nowhere near enough to raise.
Thank you! I think I´m tempted to raise thin for exploitative reasons - I expect a lot of players to bet bigger with an ace. I agree KT is too thin, but in many player pools I suspect JJ-KK are profitable raises, unblocking the T. Or mabye I´m too optimistic and we actually just need the A@@CarrotCornerPoker
Pete - you ARE a scammer. This video states, quite clearly, 10 hands in 10 minutes and yet the video is 17 minutes 32. Shame on you!!
But 7 mins and 32 seconds are me rambling about other stuff.
Are winrates at 6max only 3bb/100 these days? if hes playing 100NL then its 7.5bb/100 but still $15k over 300k hands seems an incredibly low amount.
Please note I do love your content but jeez this graph makes me really question playing 6max zoom games.
15k over 300k hands is 5bb/100, which is a very respectable winrate.
It's actually a pretty good win rate even without considering he's running well below EV
Pls remove nit tag from me at gg ty
Please stop playing like a nit ty
u dont deserve to play the game
