Exactly. Randeep Hooda probably played a best role sad character in the history of bollywood. The story was too sensitive and emotional and acting of Hooda and Aishwarya made it even more emotional. The movie was so heart breaking that at least 2-3 days you will be feel sad.. that was one of best performance by Hooda and definitely he should have get award for that..

Awards don’t matter in my opinion after knowing that they can even be bought. However, I don’t agree to one of the instances that you mentioned in this video Sanjay Dutt in Vaastav and Manoj Bajpayee in Shool. Manoj Bajpayee is one of the best actors but I think that his acting in Vasstav was equally good if not better and he deserved the award. For the climax scene, I would give any award to him.

I think this countdown even needs a Hollywood version. There are countless examples of Hollywood stars not winning awards despite their limit crossingly wonderful performances. I'll give you few examples:- Al Pacino should've got an awards for Scarface for playing Tony Montana a gangster totally different from Micheal Corleone from Godfather series, Ray Liotta who sadly died recently and the man who voiced our childhood game GTA Vice City main character Tommy Vercetti did a brilliant job as stylish, smart and ambitious Italian-Irish American gangster Henry Hill in Goodfellas movie but he sadly didn't win, Leonardo di Caprio didn't get award for Titanic for being the poster boy of romance as Jack Dawson. In Bollywood, I do feel sad about SSR not winning awards for many great performances he gave in Dhoni, Chhichhore, Kai Po Che, Byomkesh Bakshi and couldn't get posthumous award for Dil Bechara as well, Siddharth Malhotra not getting award as Captain Vikram Batra in Shershaah but Vicky deserved it completely for Sardar Uddham movie, but awards are given to completely commercial movies and commercial stars and almost all real actors get less to no awards and obviously there are many actors who believe that award shows are big fraud, are for commercial viewing and they also believe in this completely that the real award and achievement is winning many hearts and love of people who watch them act genuinely and brilliantly.
Awards do not reflect audience view point, it only reflects the opinion of a select few. But a brilliant performance will stay alive in the hearts of cine lovers forever, whether it gets an award or not
I feel sanjay dutt deserved award for Vaastav. Despite being a gangster film, that sanjay dutt has done several times, the character of Raghu was much different and realistic than others.. considering that sanjay dutt got his first best actor award after 20 years of working in films... manoj bajpayee got filmfare best actor award in the critics choice category for Shool.... manoj has 6 filmfare awards and 3 national awards....
When akshay kumar for airlift, randeep hooda for sarbjit, srk for fan, hrithik roshan for kaabil/super 30, sushant for chichhore didn't get a single best award for their works, since then I stopped believing and kept myself from these superficially made stars-driven award shows!

In Bollywood, I do feel sad about SSR not winning awards for many great performances he gave in Dhoni, Chhichhore, Kai Po Che, Byomkesh Bakshi and couldn't get posthumous award for Dil Bechara as well, Siddharth Malhotra not getting award as Captain Vikram Batra in Shershaah but Vicky deserved it completely for Sardar Uddham movie, but awards are given to completely commercial movies and commercial stars and almost all real actors get less to no awards and obviously there are many actors who believe that award shows are big fraud, are for commercial viewing and they also believe in this completely that the real award and achievement is winning many hearts and love of people who watch them act genuinely and brilliantly.

I feel sanjay dutt deserved award for Vaastav. Despite being a gangster film, that sanjay dutt has done several times, the character of Raghu was much different and realistic than others.. considering that sanjay dutt got his first best actor award after 20 years of working in films... manoj bajpayee got filmfare best actor award in the critics choice category for Shool.... manoj has 6 filmfare awards and 3 national awards....

Its actually stated that initially Aamir Khan was actually going to receive the best actor award and he had received a call regarding that by Filmfare, but he was also asked to give a dance performance during the award ceremony, which Aamir Khan refused to do.
