Hey janeo14 - the PackTowl is pretty easy to care for as it's machine washable and quick drying. PackTowel also has this statement on their site; "We recommend that you wash your PackTowl before first use. All PackTowl towels are machine washable. Wash in cold water with like colors. Do not use bleach or iron. Do not use fabric softener. Air dry or tumble dry on low. Dry thoroughly before storing for long periods of time." Hope this helps! - Rebecca

The Luxe version has more absorbency but still packs relatively lightly.

Best towel in the world -Pack Towel. This is actually an MSR towel and MSR are well known for their backpacking pro gear .
I feel like they don't actually absorb anything. Still handy and they do dry quickly. I will have to check out this brand.

Companies that make superb products probably do want honest reviews. Companies that make untrue claims probably don't want reviews at all.
