Good command of English which is a necessity in Merchant Navy and with you hard work, you will come out in flying colors on your 2nd Mate exams. Don't waste time thereafter, try n get your certifications for Chief Officer & Master as quickly as possible after gaining the mandatory required onboard experience. I meant to say , if you can n company allows , instead of taking vacation every four months , try for long term contracts. By late 20's you will be the Captain of a ship. Good look.

No bro, exam is same for both, that is 2nd mates exams. On clearing 2nd mates, you will join as a Third officer first in both ways. If you are still doubtful, DM me om instagram.
