Honestly this is the nicest human eating aliens humanity has ever met in television...she gives him a friendly face and someone to hold him, comforts him while he dies unaware of his fate...thats more than we have ever done to anything we have killed. I find it quite comforting to think some aliens may have a more vivid sense of humanity than humans ourselves
There’s no reason to think she has any sort of malevolent motives. And if we go by the source material, she flat-out doesn’t. She truly is a benevolent alien just making the best of a terrible situation.
Not to mention that the first time he wakes up in the episode that was shown to us might not be his actual time he woke up, what if it had happened already many times and it was just one of the many loops of realisations and simulations all over and over
10:25 - crewmembers were dead because they had a painted decorations inside of their tanks and after a prolonged flight, to where they ended up, the paint dust damaged tank's systems. If you curious, Greta (she-spider) had virtual sex with Thom for a reason. She is trying to keep alive and well all aliens beings that end up here (and they come from all over the universe). Some commit suicide after discovering that they can't go back to their loved ones. She is checking that Thom is not that attached his wife to and to kill himself, since he jumped into the bed with her.
"Greta" was never consuming the crew, or anything evil, just to be clear. You can see other ships at her station that were also trapped there. A lot of reactors believe she is eating them or pulling them in. But if that were the case, there would never have been any reason to keep Thom alive as long as he clearly had been. If you haven't yet, give the book a read. It made me want a full length movie.
Here's a question. Was Suzy dead the entire time ? Because if she was and all the encounters were simulations then why did Suzy act so rebellious ? Or was that some sort of manifestation of Thom trying beginning to doubt the simulation ?
I thought Suzy's encounter was an illusion because she had been dead for a while, and Suzy's rebellion was staged by the alien in order to slowly introduce Tom to the truth.
So if the Greta being was able to feed Thom this elaborate simulation then why couldn't she also keep the simulation of her would going ? Why couldn't she just put a bandaid on it ? Or perhaps that was another manifestation of Thom's doubts breaking the simulation ? just like everytime he pushed Greta against the wall ?
After Tom woke again from the dream, there is no cabin crew except Tom himself. Maybe the spider alien realized he need to be separated from others. Maybe the spider alien killed Suzy instead of putting her sleep.
The second encounter with Suzy, did the Greta creature actually kill Suzy or sedate her and if she did kill her then would it be considered immoral ? I don't think so because for whatever reason Suzy was not accepting the simulation and could see through it and she was an actual physical threat to Greta. Also there's no reason to believe that she wouldn't try to kill Greta again the next time or the time after that. And if Greta did end up being killed, the simulation would and most likely Suzy, as hysterical as she was would kill herself anyways and that would leave Thom with no chance of having any easing simulations of his own fed to him by Greta.
I’m pretty sure that by that point Suzy was already long dead. I think that whole scene was meant to symbolize Thom’s own subconscious starting to figure out that something isn’t right. Going by the source material, Greta truly is a wholly benevolent alien who means no harm to anyone.
She's actually a good girl. There's nothing she can do for him except comfort.Bcuz she's also trapped in that place. She do care for him. Btw would 🕷️🕷️🫡
Half the time, I have no idea what you're talking about. The other half I'm just thinking you like the sound of your own voice. Were you even watching the episode cuz you talked throughout the entire thing.
Hey! There are tons of reactors who just watch the show! If you'd like to watch the episode uninterrupted here is Netflix's pricing guide: help.netflix.com/en/node/24926 Much love
I am sorry but I have never heard of this show and but the views it get it seems like no one else has ether. So maybe it would be more beneficial if you use you time make more popular video on bigger TV shows.
