Why could they not have Lawrence Fishburn as Morpheus??? I loved the original Matrix movie, and not having him or the original actor that plays agent smith just made this reboot so weak. Matrix Resurrections could have been an amazing film, but not having these iconic actors return just made it a so-so movie.

Kinda ironic that Lana mentioned having to put her heart in it but the film often criticized itself especially in the WB scene as if it was agreeing that it shouldn’t have been made.
that was the point though, wb tried to force lana to make the matrix sequels for years, but lana always thought the series was finished, and only came back on board when they tried to make a sequel without her to milk the franchise. new articles came out about it

Movie is fine. But no comparison to the first three. They could have put more heart into creativity and the action set pieces. Action sequences were mediocre.
Matrix 4 should be a continuation of old movies; instead they do a fucking comedy, a parody.
The movie had great potential. But it was very strange and random. Like all of a sudden Christina Ricci pops up on the freaking screen? Very strange. I was wanting more out of the movie. But Keanu Reeves and the actress who plays Trinity they're older now and they can't really do all of those moves that they did back in the '90s so, I get it. It was for the fans. I appreciated that.
Idk about that. Check John Wick 4. The difference is they took time and care w the choreography and framing the action.
