See a 2023 base m2 with 3,000 miles going for $61,000 . I want it so bad .
There really is something crazy about how different the car looks in person vs in photos. The f87 was my dream car for the longest and have been saving up money, but the other day I saw a blue G87 parked in the parking lot of a mall and I cannot tell you how fast my dream car changed, it is mind boggling how different it looks in person I cannot state this enough.
I urge anyone who has not seen it in person and is thinking between F87 and G87 to see it in person first.
Now I'm sitting here watching G87 videos!!😂
G87 looks completely different compared to photos. They are angry and imposing. I love the new design, I really love it.

0:04 0:04 Love the car. Reminds me of the M3 e30 with the big hips. Good to see the three pedals and they didn't use the grill for the M3. Still somewhat maintained the kidney shape BMW was known for. Not warm to the iPad dash board that everyone has gone to. My Audi is the last generation of gauges. Those are not fat guy seats. Had a old GLi with Recaro seats that some of my friends didn't like.

I got my 24’ during thanksgiving! Alpine white bi color wheels. Fully optioned out minus the carbon roof for a sunroof. Just got it broken in at 1162. Absolutely love it!
Congrats!! If I were to do it again, would have gone alpine.

I'm in finance and majored in economics. When the FED cuts in March-July 2024, it will be hard to find a G87 with payments being less then. The G87 has me itching to trade in my 2023 MKV Supra 6MT for this M2. The only thing that worries me is the long term reliability of that screen. I don't ever lease my cars.
Thanks for watching man, you’re absolutely right. Screen is replaceable. The real fear is tech looking dated down the road. Nothing will be timeless like the old analog cars.

I’m on the same boat. Bought a Manual Supra because it popped up and I didn’t want to deal with the 11-month wait on the M2. Now I have seem a couple chances for allocation taking less time to delivery and I’m having evil thoughts. I think the Manual Supra will hold its value better, but the M2 will be slightly more fun plus easier to live with. Just need to be able to sell the Supra without losing money 😅
The screen will age it badly like previous BMW's

I would suggest not buying one new because they're going to take a hard depreciation hit just watch

have you noticed that you always have to steer a little to the left to keep the car straight? My M2 has been aligned 3 times and still has the same little angle that I see on your wheel....interesting....

Roads have camber and depends on which lane you are in many cars will do that

Well, this video didn't age well. I agree that the G87 is an awesome car, but everything said about the economy, interest rates, etc.. was dead wrong. The Fed continues to hold steady. The Dow just hit 40,000, an all-time high. There's plenty of money out there to spend.
Excellent review and everything you said is 100% accurate. I have a G87 as well. Glad to see reviewers giving the G87 the praise it deserves.
I have this car, and so many people told me I should've gotten amg, or m5 comp, or something better, and gave me such bullshit reasons to why it sucks but this video made me feel better about the car.

Got the same spec and color. What a hoot. Admittedly I was banging on its styling and BMW replacing the DCT with a torque converter when I had my DCT M2Comp. Went old school with an 09 911. But when I saw the G87 in person, I zipped my mouth and immediately replaced my 09 911. Great initial perspective and on the mark.
Dude, great video but there's no need to have the wipers constantly be utilized when there's no rain and it just messes with my OCD... like turn it off lol

Just picked up a 24 GR Corolla, been loving it. I think I'll go for a G87 M2 or a CT4-V Blackwing in a couple of years.
Get my fully optioned M2 in 2 weeks, only took 6 months and would've been even shorter, but BMW was out of stock on the carbon buckets for about 3 weeks, they're definitely worth it, and the car in general. Super stoked and totally agree with the comments about the F87 owners 🤣
Mine got moved back 5 weeks cause of stock issues on the carbon buckets. Just hope it doesn’t happen again lol
Opinions on the G42 M240 compare to the G87?
The design is brutal and not pretty. Kind of like a concrete block vs. the marble sculpture of the last one. That's ok though, it makes it look "tough" which it is. But nobody will call the design beautiful ever. The display is ok, I can be neutral on stuff like that but removing the knobs is a dick move. Anyway, I like the car and there isn't a fatal flaw in any of this. It's appropriate design for what it is.

This is such a dope car. I got my childhood fantasy car last year (Audi S4), but based on this and other assessments I would like to get an M2 in the future. M240i looked very appealing but it won't feel much different from the S4 I'm thinking.
Well said, guys like throttle house are trying to prop up their own F87. I’ve driven and tracked both. The f87 is good but it’s not like it was a NA high revving engine with an amazing manual. The F87 rides harsh, kind of dies on the top end (granted as tuned from factory) and has a scratchy interior.
Honest video 🤔 i have had mine since August it arrived three months late but , enjoying every moment of my ownership. Just like you my spec is with the carbon pack , blue with yhe carbon front ducks. The car drives amazingly sadly it's time to put it away for the winter 🤔
Can't wait until after the break-in, finally be able to use all the rpm's! Be careful Kenny, it's going to have more power then you can fully use 90% of the time. Have fun and be safe!

just got mine !! carbon roof but regular seats, brooklyn grey, manual,red calipers, shadowline headlights and black tailpipes ! I took the aluminium rhombicle trims because the one I saw in the showroom got it and looks really good in person ! Ordered in September 23, got it february 24 !!! It's a keeper for sure !
Hell yeah, post some vids of that aluminum interior trim. Haven’t seen it yet.

And god are you right. Those reviews saying the manual is rubbery and car is too heavy.. They're so full of it man it's almost like they didn't drive one for real. It's really fast, Utterly good, it's a manual in 2024 we have to appreciate it and it's the best manual I've tried in a bimmer yet... (Drove an old M5 manual, E90 manual, F80 Manual... They all feel worse but somehow with this new generation it's suddenly a deal breaker lol)
And who cares about numbers on a spec sheet ? It wins a quarter mile against the new dark horse mustang, against the new Supra, Against the new Z, etc... It runs competitive laptimes around a track against the new Supra which is seen as the holy grail of weekend track days... All that in a car I would carry customers for lunch in, go to a wedding with and drive accross the country without getting fatigued of the suspension, bumps, seats or lack of tech !

If the MY25 orders open with those options sometime Q2 it’ll be probably this time 2026 for them to come in assuming you ordered immediately. Worth the wait for resale I’d say. Some of us aren’t as patient haha

What do you think of the bucket seats for daily driving?
Buckets are non-negotiable. I’d drive cross country with these.
Anyone complaining they’re uncomfortable/makes their back hurt has BMI over 30 or SERIOUS spinal issues (they haven’t done mobility in their lives) or just couldn’t afford (understandable).
@@kaplanamerica2hmm, you sold me. I was concerned about going in and out and I’ll have to try one out but they just look so damn good in addition. I suspect even if I hated it I could sell them or swap.

@kaplanamerica2 Always supporting both channels bro, I love both cars and motorcycles, they keep me together at times, I love the way that the foreign cars look especially the aggressive stance on an M3 or another awesome car, I don't really like the sound of them but they are awesome and I would buy a stock one with the stock exhaust, Iam more of a classic car guy, the sound of the engine and the exhaust note is 👌 but I support both channels and I love the merch you guys offer, I love the rip your house off the foundation shirt, I happen to have it and have not worn it yet but it is clean and iam ready to wear it, one idea for 2024 would be a shirt that has Wizard wheelieing maybe that factory edition mc250 with the Kaplan graphics or that mc125 custom with his wizard hat on and him looking sideways smiling and it would say "Wizard tuned" I just thought this up hopefully it is a great idea 👍
