Watching Hangman and Moxley going back and forth in front of that table, the thing I kept thinking was "Why the hell isn't that cord taped down?!" Hangman came close to tripping on it, and you can see a staffer desperately trying to pull it out of the way of his feet. OK, that aside: I think the ending was clever. Initially it seems anticlimactic, but I got the impression from the end that Moxley was legit enraged at winning that way, because he only rolled Hangman up to try and make him release the choke, so in his mind by being dumb enough to get pinned instead of letting go, Hangman robbed him off the opportunity to finish beating him into the ground. So the supposed "rubber match" did nothing to release the tension between the two men.
And it needs to end with them half carrying half helping each other to the back no matter who wins, (like Michael, Triple H and Undertaker in that Wrestlemania match. This feud is as much or more about respect than wins
That cord is from one of the cameramen that walks around with the camera ringside. When you see the camera-cuts in the beginning, one of the camera guys is right there on it and the cord leads straight to the shot. If it was taped down that camera-guy couldn't move as much.
Regardless of how we feel the real Aces are actually Jericho((when he feels like it)) and Kenny Omega((when he feels like it))... though Moxley is definitely one of the aces as well, I would say that CM Punk is still a bigger name and a bigger draw, while MJF is going to peek too soon and needs more people to step up... Jericho is basically retiring his Ace and Kenny Omega prefers Japan... also Adam Page messed up his title reign, it was not passed on in a good way and who did Adam Page really beat who was not Injured Kenny Omega... he should have been Jericho at the very least or Moxley while he was the Champion... to solidify his status, but sadly they never did that, by the time it came to face Punk it was like where were all the other big names, though I do feel like he was also slacking off since he started no selling a lot while he was the champion, which sort of killed one of the things he had often been rather decent at in his matches.
I think it's heading for an elite vs bcc at blood and guts or double or nothing. A couple of weeks back hangman said he needs to make amends with people from his past. Last week hangman faced Yuta after feeding with moxley for a while. Fast forward to Wednesday, the whole bcc was in the ring squaring off to hangman and hangman was all alone.
I don't think so. No one should be standing straight after a tombstone piledriver and kick out of it after a lariat. This happens in every match and it's ridiculous because it means wrestling moves that should be damaging to an opponent don't mean a thing in this modern era.
That’s what I was thinking the ending wasn’t scripted. Love mox but ain’t no way story wise could he kick out of all them big moves by page. Hit him with a pile driver, deadeye, and the buckshot. That roll up didn’t even look clean either. Then you got mox up and walking around all fine afterwards pushing each other

My only nitpick with this match is that the window between the Tombstone Piledriver and the Buckshot Lariat was a bit short. It almost looked like Mox was no-selling the first because of it
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed but other than that, it was a solid match that could build to another match . Mox got the win but hangman was standing tall while moxkey only survived .
And I can’t believe more people aren’t mentioning it. It just takes away the impact of the tombstone and makes it mean less. The art of selling is well and truly dead too. On a positive, AEW has stepped it up in recent weeks. I would say they’ve had a very good 5-6 weeks of Dynamite shows now.

Hangman and Moxley feud is just like Punk vs Joe feud always legendary and epic. All the matches they had are amazing the Texas Death Match where Hangman made Mox tapped was the peak and they have so much unbelievable chemistry in the ring.
Best match I saw from either one. Great in-ring-storytelling to make both look like champions. And it even helped that there was no title on the line. Loved it. Also heel Hangman is so much more believable than the babyface version.

Mox and Hangman's rivalry could be the AEW version of The Rock and HHH's rivalry, and I'm all for it. I was never a fan of Hangman, but after this recent feud with Mox, my respect for him has increased.
I really doubt this story is over. Mox gets the win, but Hangman can always dangle it over his head how he did it. Most wouldn't be upset at a sneaky reversal/roll-up, but Mox made it a point that he wanted to BEAT Hangman decisively. The tale continues, IMO.
It was an epic match for the ages. The pinfall was quick and unexpected though. Where is JR tonight? On another note it's good to see Timothy Thatcher since the other company didn't do much with him.
