*Morning Coffee*
Just another average day as a sensei of Schale, I said to myself as I lift my upper body from the cozy sofa. My trusty temporary bed that doubles as my resting spot. As I rub my eyes and gathers my consciousness, all of a sudden my nostrils starts to pick up a vague, foreign scent that I never imagined if it's possible in my modest office. A scent of freshly brewed coffee in the morning.
As I lift my body from the sofa while doing a light stretching to ease up my aging bones, I starts to catch the sight of the one in the kitchen counter. My eyes figuring out the fluttering cat ears, the ever bright pink halo hovering above her head, and the worn out apron she wears. It's none other than the sweet tongued cat girl from Trinity, Kyouyama Kazusa. As I bring myself closer to her, her ears twitched as if she noticed my movement before she tilts her head to my direction, a lighthearted smile formed in her lips combined by the vivid sunlight from the window makes a stunning view.
Kazusa : "Oh! Morning, sensei!~" She said with her soothing voice that sends a surge of warmth in both my cochleas and comforting my soul. I can't help but to notice the vietnam coffee and the pot she carefully holds as she gently pours the piping hot water into the crumbly coffee powder.
"What are you doing here so early in the morning?" I said curiously as I keep my space while setting my eyes on her. She gracefully slides the side of her hair to the back while allowing a small giggle escaping her lips.
Kazusa : "C'mon, isn't it already obvious? For our sensei who always does his best, I prepared some coffee to lift up your spirit~ Take it as my gratitude for everything that you have done!"
Seconds later, she approaches me with both her hands thoroughly holding the plate and the handle of the cup filled with the freshly brewed coffee that she put out an effort. I could feel my heart picking up a rhythm as I capture the sight of her smaller frame closing to me, offering the fruit from her hard work to me.
Kazusa : "Sensei! As always, let's give it our all again today!~" She said as she put on her dashing smile. Both her comforting voice and her adorable picture enough to heighten my senses and build up my energy to start the day.
We both then take our seats on the dining table, enjoying our breakfast with the strawberry cheesecake I saved in the fridge accompanied by a sip of the coffee that gives me a blast of genuine and heartfelt warmth and kindness of her. For some reason, I had a hunch that I should told to myself to not mention anything about other students, especially Kikyo. That way I could appreciate her a bit longer. After we finished, I washes the dishes and walks her outside, waving a goodbye before returning to my desk, ready to start the day with renewed obstinancy.
