I've been sitting here for like 45 minutes and the damned apothecary is still on her lunch break. 2 stars on Yelp.
Ha!
Plot twist: you are the apothecary and haven’t had a single customer in 2 hours.
@@crypto_radio9653 yes, because of a customer who gave only 2 stars on Yelp 😂
"Sir, it's 2am. we are closed."
@@crypto_radio9653 HAAAAAAAAA
I love this because:
1) POTIONS!!!
2) It helps me study
3) It reminds me to drink water (lol)
4) Did I say potions?
M G It reminds me Hogwarts
@@moonstone6133 same!
Reminds me of preparing a warm meal. And that is something I like doing.
It makes me peee!!!
This is why I love Alchemy, such an underrated aspect of medieval fantasy.
Potion seller... I require your strongest potions!
EpicMRPancake My potions are far too strong for you traveler!
really ringhole ?
Potion seller, I've come to bargain!
My potions are strong enough to kill a dragon, let alone a man!
i have strong rage potions . and a free explosive potion.
I listen to your stuff all the time. A lot of people tend to use it for sleep aid, but am I the only one who uses it as study ambience? This one in particular is my favorite for when I'm writing essays, or writing in general. (As an English major, you can imagine that this is quiet often.) I just love it.
I enjoy studying to these videos too. Also when I'm working from home, I put my earphones on and can get into the zone with ambience.
Same here. I personally use this one to study chemistry it really puts me in the mood
Same. I use it while I am studying. It helps me focus better.
Nara Kwon u r pretty
I just found this today and I am reading and writing critiques. Perfect! I just wish I didn't have to keep replaying.
This is probably the greatest thing to ever come into existence.
Nick Judge Agreed:))
I can't agree more. I would love to live in a place that have these sounds.
In a shop far from the crowded city, rarely customers come to buy, the shop have nice smells and there are some strange creatures live in containers used for preparing potions. And everything is so magical and rustic.
"I have the potions you need... for the right amount of gold of course, adventurer"
fuck
Sweet, I need the Potion of Extra Dong, I have a date with the local Healer you see. ;)
+DJHEADPHONENINJA if effects last longer than 4 hours consult a cleric
I need a mana potion, please.
Khajit have wares if you have coin
This reminds me of when I was sick 11 weeks ago with what I believe to be COVID19. I was alone and so sick without a car so I was not able to get medication. Instead I made Echinacea and chamomile tea and just tried to sweat it out taking hot baths. I survived. The sounds are reminiscent of the boiling tea and bath ..very relaxing. Thank you.
I swear if anyone creates a sort of village in a medivale style without all the techonolgy and the artifice of this world, like in books, I would go live there and open my own Apothecary shop, who's with me?
edit: i never noticed this got attention until 2 years later, for people being mean and condescending... like i was just fantasizing, i mean it's just a dream, ofc irl it would have to be very different and carefully made to avoid problems such as diseases and whatnot not need to take my comment so seriously. To everyone who actually gave answers and places that are similar to this idea thanks ^^ And to those who want to open that village with me and be the blacksmith, the witch, the baker, gosh it does sound amazing doesn't it~
Me
I'm almost with you...but I *couldn't* do without _indoor_ plumbing; most especially *_toilets_*
... my recreation would require this; but _everything else_ I could and would do without ...
I think those are called Amish people.
Eva me!
Let's do it.
GoA vids are always good, but this one is extra special. The bubbling noise is so satisfying. The sounds of someone turning the pages of their books, stirring, un-corking bottles, putting things on shelves, etc. are perfect in their subtlety.
Never have I ever seen such a positive RUclips comment section 0_0
Good job guys :3
👍
Ah that pop of the bottle opening. That cork pop is just one of the best sounds!
I'm really hoping to hear another like this one, I enjoy it very much. Maybe there should be a herbalist shop.
I can totally see someone rummaging through their many drawers looking for a certain dried herb. Mumbling all the while when they find it and walk to their desk. They would flip through a few pages from their journal and, after skimming the pages for information, they would step over and place the herb into the satchel that was prepared to be delivered to an alchemist. Picking up a slip of paper that was next to it, they go to collect the rest of the reagents. Once the bag was filled with the many listed herbs, the assistant, who had been writing away notes in their own journal, would stand to take the bag and head out for the delivery. The herbalist tells them a few words and sees them off before wandering into the back of the shop and into the garden in the back. The entry door bell jingles at the others exit as another door creaks open. The herbalist leaves the back door open as they become distracted by the flora. Birds tweet gentle songs in the background as people chat to one another in the distance. But all are disregarded as the herbalist checks and evaluates their plants and inventory.
...I don't know. Something like that anyways.
Wingweeper98 YES YES YEEES
This is indeed a good story setting!
I love these videos and people writing their own little stories and sometimes what they imagine. It's a fun read and actually is very good to read these comments while you fall asleep. It's like staying up late reading a really good book and slowly falling asleep with the book in your arms.
Sounds lovely.
I could make an entire short story about this
I picture Severus being right off camera. I love it.
Yes! I have been looking for potions class/Slytherine common room ambiance and none of the ambiance dedicated to HP universe comes as close as this one! The underwater sounds along with pages turning and glass clinking, etc...perfect
I love the utter lack of people in your videos.
Invisibility cloak 🤷♀️
or just having people do things without talking in the vid XD
reason to return..
but you get the feeling that they are just in the next room...
@@ElJorro yes!! I love it!
This is probably the best thing I've ever found on the Internet.
that orb is mesmerizing.
The witch that owned the potion shop, an aged woman, not entirely able to move as she used to, managed her cauldron, as all the materials were mixing slowly. Her successor, a young kid, seemingly too incapable and fragile to handle the potion shop alone, watched as the mixture slowly changed color, as the witch added each material carefully. The old witch squawked, as she realized what she'd forgotten. "Please, pass me some daisy seeds, my dear. It's by the herbs, below the shelf." she spoke in a shaky voice. The kid ran across the room, passing tables and bookshelves until he found a basket full of seeds. It was decorated with daisies, both for him and the woman, as her vision had begun to fail her, and the child got confused very easily.
The child scooped up a handful of seeds, and brought them over to the witch, carefully and quickly. "Throw them in." She told the child. The child then separated his hands, letting some seeds fall into the mixture, then twisting them, throwing in the remaining seeds. The mixture quickly changed color, from a dark, sky blue to a vibrant shade of magenta, with some hints of bright pink. The kid's eyes widened, as the mixture started changing. The atmosphere in the room also changed. The aroma the potion was emitting was like fresh cake, being eaten in a well-kept garden of some sort. The kid quickly spun around and grabbed his quill, taking notes in a small notebook he kept there, next to the cauldron to make notes for later usage. The Witch gave a small smile, as she realized the mixture was ready.
She reached her hand under the table, where she kept bottles. She put the bottle above the cauldron, and took a scoop of the mixture, slowly pouring it in the bottle. She scooped up two more spoon-fulls of the mixture until the bottle was full. She scooped some kind of colorful dust and sprinkled some into the mixture. She put the cork on the bottle and tied a ribbon with a piece of papyrus scroll to it. "Pass me your quill, child." She ordered. The child obediently gave her his quill, as she wrote something down.
As she finished, a tall man in armor opened the door, causing a small bell to ring. The child and the witch turned their heads to face the man. The witch then spoke "Ah, Mr. Narkovia, just on time. Your potion is ready."
Ꮶ ᎢᎻᎬ ᏩᎬᎬᏦ you should write a book. That was interesting read. Well done
Suzita Groom Thank you for your kind words! That really reassures me!
Ꮶ ᎢᎻᎬ ᏩᎬᎬᏦ you have a good imagination. Good imagination can open many doors for you. Its like having psychosis which i have. Your world is very different around you. Have a great day 👒
Thank you again! Have a nice day as well!
An all of a sudden all about this potions expose to myself to be an euphemism for drugs, thus the witch turns into an child exploiter old bat that design drugs for narcos.
I love literally every single video on this channel. You NEVER disappoint.
michaela? you look a lot like my cousin michaela lloyd lol :-)
I'm not even sure why, but I just really love the sound of a mortar and pestle.
Perhaps you were a Mage in a past life, and you miss it so much that even the sight or sounds of a mortar and pestle helps you remember.
Thank you so much for putting these out here for free!! Your channel is easily the best at this. Please keep up the great work :) I want you to know that your videos have helped drastically with my insomnia. Trying to fall asleep can be torturous for sufferers. Thank you! ♡
I'm really getting into these now. I just want to live in such a world of fantasy
"Hello there Potion Seller. I'm going to battle but I want your strongest potions"
This is perfect! I was thinking how I wanted something extra fantasy just earlier today, like a wizard's tower or troll's cave, this is perfect!
Ah another beautiful ambience. This time is a potion shop, and there NEVER existed one before. Outstanding work! 10\10
"Nary a fancy illustration, just the goods, fair and plain." If you get this reference you've played the greatest rpg of all time
This is something I listen to when falling asleep. I'm a third shift worker and I have a very specific routine to insure I get good sleep and this audio is fantastic. Thank you!
OMG OMG this is SO GOOD it's tickling the back of my neck and I feel like a wizard!
The Guild of Ambience is brilliant
I was born into a wrong realm... I wish I was born into this fantasy realm where i wpuld be a gifted human healer collecring herbs and making potions....ohhh poor life poor julia
Agreed. We were born in the wrong realm :(
I agree so much dude. I think about this all the time. I feel silly, I'm 19 years old and all I wanna do is be the most badass, dragon riding warrior in the most beautiful fantasy world ever... but alas we're stuck here :'3
same here! guess the closest we can get is dnd and just pretend for a while.
You can get close by practicing herbalism! I started learning and I love the smell and sound of syrups bubbling away on the stove, the clink of my glass storage jars when I'm looking for specific herbs, the crunching and rustling of leaves and flowers when I mix teas.... It's absolutely lovely, and so useful too! Herbal medicine encourages your body to heal itself, rather than just suppressing symptoms.
P
I almost don't even care what the topic is, I AM JUST SO EXCITED YOU FINALLY HAVE A NEW VIDEO!! Nice subtle touches, love that!
Another hit from you guys at the Guild..... Love 'em. Keep them coming, please!
Could you make a library video? I love the style of your channel and a book sounds video, without the sound of annoying keyboards or anything "modern", like most of the published videos have, would be amazing
Beat me to it. ~K
I have seen a video like that on a different channel, although it's Harry Potter themed and somewhat ASMR-ish, but if you'd like I can point you to it.
"Harry Potter ASMR - Hogwarts Library", 1:00:05.
Great idea.
As a librarian, I definitely approve of this suggestion. What about a 1920s style HP Lovecraft library? I just love the creator's imagination and artistry and I can't help but put that idea out there. *blush*
those 45 minutes passed like 2 minutes. not kidding! thank you very much.
Honestly expecting any minute for someone to shout "NO, DO-" only for it to be cut off by an explosion
"My potions are too strong for you, traveler." Very good video though. I loved every minute of it.
I think this and the cave are my favorite so far. I'd like to suggest a nighttime themed one with owls, and other occasional night creatures, with a breeze through the trees. I know you did a camping one but it has day birds and water. Maybe a deep at night outside ruin under the moonlight, or middle of the night lovers tryst in the forest at the edge of the village? It's just because I love owls. LOL Edit: I play this when making tinctures from the garden, adds a little fun to it. Edit#2 I see you have a night swamp--that'll do the trick!
"Potion seller! I am going into battle, and I require only your strongest potions!"
My potions are too strong for you traveler, you can not handle my potions.
Theese videos are great, I discovered them a few weeks ago, and i can cuddle up in my bathrobe watching them, or play D&D with them, or both when i'm with my brother, they are simply splendid!
So far, this one is my favorite out of all of Guild of Ambience's uploads.
This is one of my favorite Channels on youtube, thanks guys.

ExCrushter I know right? I feel transported to another time and place. I LOVE IT !
kick ass profile pic. joshua is easily the biggest badass in the entire fallout franchise.
“I’m developing a new potion for dealing with burns. In theory it should cool the body and clean any charred skin when poured over the body. I call it.....Kool-Aid
I love going through all these environments and then playing music on top that suits them or makes it feel a certain way.
Absolutely Beautiful! The sights, the sounds, the total atmosphere. Books, books, books! Potions, potions, potions! Wonderful animations! A true "candy shop" for the mind. :D
I'm a rain sound guy, but this is so effing relaxing. Amazing.
this channel is so underrated
I can't believe Snape didn't notice that Harry Potter was recording his class
What cool energetic mystery is this?...I love that glowing blue globe!
🦉Legend!! The sounds combined with the flickering candles, smouldering incense and the glowing 🔮 crystal ball. Instills in me a sense of profound comfort, A job worthy of praise! 👍🏿
I listen to this each day at work. It never gets old. I adore your videos but this one is gold.
Five years later and this still knocks me out. Nighty-night everyone.
It's 11 o'clock at night, and I just got this urge of wanting tomorrow morning to come more quickly so that I can get up, and sit and watch this over a cup of morning coffee; this vibe makes a morning coffee viewing seem more appropriate.
This is the purest eargasm I've ever experienced. I'm legit tingling.
There's so much changing detail, it's not just a 2 minute track on repeat.
What a wonderful way to start my day....and every day for the rest of the week!
I used to do a lot of writing and recently got back into it. Your videos are the soundtrack for my writing. Thank you for helping to get the creativity juices flowing again.
Only 45 minutes!? Thank God for the LOOP option You tube offers when viewing through a laptop or desktop. An excellent work of art!
You're helping me pass my degree. Thanks man.
Never realized how relaxing boiling water is. Do you sell these ambience tracks anywhere?
I like the picture.
Me too
"8 Hours Of" typically does single-type sounds like that.
AlashiaTuol yooo thank you! :)
It's not boiling water it's a potion!
Well obviously you gotta simmer magical ingredients to get a potion, yo
no idea what makes this relaxing but I love it! Beautifully done! I’m going to just find a dark corner and enjoy my very own Taylor-made sleep potion.
Once again, a wonderful video! I've been listening to this at work and it really gives me this feeling of being in a little shop of my own. Working away, listening to the bubbling brews, scribbling in a journal my findings. It's like I'm being an alchemist myself and putting all these different things together to come up with the perfect *solution*. (get it? haha) Love this! Looking forward to more. Thank you!
Great idea, I agree. I'm looking forward to using these as background music for when my daughter and I read her stories.
Makes me want to play Oblivion or Skyrim
nothings wrong I'm just a bit peeved is all Same purred the Khajiit~ ✨🐱✨
Makes me want to play Dishonored 2. This game have some places that have wonderful ambient sounds.
Makes me wanna live in a fantasy world

right before i was gonna go to sleep thanks
I was just casually scrolling through my feed for something to have in the background while I play D&D qith some friends. This is so amazing to have playing, it gives a whole new feeling to actually being in a shop. :D
I love the mysticism on all these sounds.....so INSPIRING... and I love feeling I am in a different era, thank you so much for this!
Absolutely wonderful work. Please, please keep putting up your work. I'm a huge fan of ambient audio from rain to wind to music. This and other items on your page are very good.
45 minutes exactly (for me anyway). My OCD thanks you.
Ugh, I love your videos. Perfect for concentrating. The whole grey brick with wood interior aethetic is exactly what I want in my home.
This is my most favourite ambience!!
I can't concentrate much but this sound helps me a lot
Also I would love a video of a shop like this but maybe parchment scrolls and creaking and the low murmur of a town bustling outside? That would be wonderful! I love all of your videos thank you for making them ❤️✌🏻
This is great....live this stuff.
Please keep creating more 😊
Thanks
Wow! Amazing! Congratulations! Its sounds exactly like a potion shop, i *love* how you can find the perfect sound to make something that doesnt exist!
This is great to fall asleap to! Although I have to admit that I was a bit panicy about my aquarium when I woke up! XD
OmG I love this! I love this so much! Studying Chemistry right now and this sets the mood PERFECTLY thank you!!
You've heard stories of an extremely skilled alchemist who lives out withing forest nearby the village. Wanting to learn more about potions, you venture out into the wilderness for a few weeks until you stumble a small cottage. You knock on the door. No answer. You try again multiple times but every time you only hear an odd "squawk" noise. When you finally open the door, there is a small parrot mixing a cauldron and boiling a few ingredients on the side with a book open next to it. It squawks at you cheerfully at you, and continues on with its work. How do you react?
"Hey little guy, what are brewing?"
"Squawk" The parrot stops stirring and flies next to a small vial containing a light blue liquid. He then points at it and looks at you expectantly.
"What, you want me to drink this?"
The parrot nods and squawks happily.
"Are you sure about this? I'm not sure if..."
The parrots keeps staring at you so you finally take the tiny bottle and open it. An unusual yet pleasant smell comes out of it and after examining it for a few seconds you finally decide to try it.
"Here goes nothing..." you say as you empty the vial in one gulp.
A few seconds pass by and nothing seems to happen, until you suddenly feel dizzy and your head starts spinning. After a minute you finally feel better and you take a look around the room.
"All right, I don't think that did anything--"
"Welcome traveller!" You hear a voice behind you. You quickly turn around and see... the parrot! You can hear the parrot talk!
"D--did you just--"
"Aha, it seems that my potions that permits to understand animals was a success!"
You look at the parrot, confused, until he starts to talk again:
"Right, I almost forgot, let me introduce myself: my name is Andsehlm Celestius, but you might have heard of me as Celestius the Alchemist"
"Last time I checked, Celestius the Alchemist was a human, not a parrot"
"So you noticed. About that... While I was experimenting with my brewings I might have accidentally turned myself into a parrot."
"But aren't you supposed to be extremely skilled?"
"Look boy, everyone can make mistakes sometimes. Please do not mention this to anyone, it is really embarrassing"
"Yeah, it must be" you say while doing your best to hold a chuckle. You were hoping to meet one of the most skilled and well-known alchemist of all time, but this is certainly not what you were expecting.
"Anyway" the parrot speaks again "see what I was doing there?" he asks as he looks at the cauldron.
"I was trying to brew a potion that would fix my... accident, but working with this form is rather difficult, so you came here at the right moment. I'll be needing your help."
You feel confused for a second until you realize.
"Hold on, you want /me/ to make the potion? I never did anything like this before..."
"Do not worry, I will tell you exactly what you need and how to do it." he looks at you cheerfully.
"Now then, you better start taking notes! The effects of the potion you drank will wear off soon, and this was the only vial I had"
I want more of this story, it's really intriguing and cool.

Probably the only channel on RUclips with a positive vibe in the comment section . That’s what I love about this community; we’re a peaceful and creative bunch. :)
I listen to this when I program at my job. It makes me feel like a wizard, concocting potions and casting incantations.
Now I know what I'm gonna listen tonight 'til I sleep.
I can imagine Severus Snape in the middle of this room mumbling to himself some ingredients to a very important potion he'll show to Ron Weasley, very, very patiently - or not.
Hihi good idea :-D
I've listened to many of these, yours and others. I find it very hard to relax and fall asleep, but this Apothecary potion is ALMOST perfect!!!! Please, please, please, could you make an extra long one say at least 3hrs as thats about as quick as I can get to sleep!! But this one I love the most. Thank you for your amazing talents at putting these together. xxxx

Alchemist, am I.
Enchanting.
Appreciate ambience setting.
Relaxed, in my productive mystery.
It's quiet here, too quiet.
Shh, now, you're sure this guy has what we need?
Positive, he knows anything and anyone, much like his brother the local Undertaker. Sides, he owes me a favor.
I've always wanted to meet an apothecary.
Love it. Was so excited to see a notification that there was a new one!
I like your medieval town one the best. Can you do a night time version like an old stone street, that would be cool. :D
This one is my favourite of all the ambiance videos.
This is my favorite video on what has become one of my favorite channels. Literally writing a fantasy story as I listen to this one.
Perfection!
I'm so glad I found this channel. Your videos are the perfect background noise to work to, very relaxing. :)
I love these videos so much that I almost wish I never found them. I just want to be transported to an alternate reality where these settings exist and live out the rest of my life there.

Just found you today. Will definitely be using your channel for D&D next week. Thank you! Keep up the awesome work!
I've been all over these asmr and ambient noise channels and in my opinion, this is the best one out there. The quality of the recording %100. It paints a very vivid picture when I close my eyes. I really love it.

Oh my goodness this is heaven. What kind of magician are you!? Thank you so much for this. Any chance you could do a similar type of video of a library or an alien restaurant? I love the turning of pages and the clinks against glass.
This is magic! Thank you so much, haven't felt this relaxed in a while.
Great sounds. I can almost smell the candles and incense. I also like the comfortable yet mysterious atmosphere.
You should do one for a blacksmith's shop or a wagon in the countryside!
