Haven’t seen the vid yet, but so glad you're back. Lots of people here have been fingers crossed you were on the mend. Welcome back buddy...hope you are 100% 👍👍
Great video Al, I like the dose of reality of having a friend round to add a bit of banter to the proceedings. I always watch your videos near the end of a fasting day to get me in the mood for the inevitable take-away curry as a reward!
Take away? Get yourself down to an indian supermarket with a list of ingredients for the base gravy and your favourite curry on Al's channel. So easy to follow his instructions and tastes better than most curries you get from take aways.
Big sigh of relief that ur back in the kitchen armed with a sense of taste and smell. Will try this next weekend. Returned to an old favourite last night with a garlic chilli chicken...never fails!!
Great to have you back and cooking again. We had this on Sunday just gone. After 12 months doing BIR I'm getting really into it thanks to yourself. It's monk fish Ceylon tonight too. I can also promise anyone that your mix powder recipe is superior to any pre bought curry powder. PS - not enough beer in that shopping trolley!
Hi Al, So great to have you back! With all the doom & gloom going on at the moment it's great to have a good news story for a change. Looking forward to more mouth watering curries from your kitchen
Hi Al, so glad your back again. I've cooked some of your dishes over the past few months and they are beautiful. Hopefully you'll get started on that book I'm so looking forward to buying. Victoria from Northern Ireland. God Bless 👍👍
The humour is on a par with the food! A medium sized man hand. Also I know how to build a curry then cuts to a missed ingredient. Your videos are inspiring and my family are better for it. Cheers
Made this beauty tonight. Because it's such a big portion I added some more spices, mixed powder, chilli, garam masala. I did it towards the end and just eyeballed it. Maybe that's what you felt it was missing? Beautiful though and goes really well with the Lamb
Glad you're feeling well enough to create again, not quite so happy to see you've lost your wooden spoon 💆 Has anyone missed the metal on metal sound or do you somehow need it to produce your distinct flavour?
Welcome back, Al! Very happy for you that it was a quick in and out loss of taste and smell. I cook too, not at your wonderful standard but come Halloween, this year it will be a year with diminished taste and smell. Just glad you do the metric sizes to your spices etc. Really happy to see you back and well
Super happy you're back, not seen the video yet but I will when I am home from work and I know it'll be great, and as its curry night on Saturday I'll be putting my skills from your videos to the test
Glad your better! Made this tonight but the garlic purée is a bit overpowering, is that because it was added late? If you think it is maybe you could edit the video with a bubble at the beginning saying when to add the garlic purée? I should have watched in advance before hand! Not sure how to fix, I’m cooking it a bit longer to see if that helps.
Hey Al, absolutely loving your recipes and content. I swear I say you in Pret in Bromley today! I didn't want to make a fool of myself but if it was you....HI!!! :)
What’s the best way to store the base gravy. Thank you for the lamb saag recipe I love authentic lamb saag and have tried different recipes all of which have been underwhelming. Your’s looks terrific I can’t wait to try it many thanks.
Glad you are back doing your thing. Ever thought of doing a curry van and taking it on the road around the UK? Be great viewing, plus you get to meet your lovely subscribers, visit some amazing locations, and we can taste your BIR's from the man himself. Next level you tubing for your channel.
Great to see back, on top form, as usual. I'm going to make this tomorrow, it looks delicious! Though I'll be using lambs liver instead. I always use frozen spinach. I'll have mine with a side of cumin spiced crushed roasted baby potatoes and shallots.
Hi Al, So glad you are back, up and running! Great stuff. This curry looks delicious and I'll try it very soon. Re the Pineapple in the Dansak, to me the dish isn't complete without it. First BIR curry I had was Dansak and had the Pineapple. One of my favourite curries
