yesssss bro ive been wondering about this! not realy worried about anti graffiti as much as UV, that sun is the ultimate thief! here in florida, nothing beats the sun. Ive watched murals turn grey in a year
Can u do anything to bring back the color ? I did a wall coating it made it loose the vibrant look it had any advice or can u tell me where I went wrong bro?
Try a product called "Wasser". It's made in Germany, and once you paint it over a mural, you can wash graffiti off with MEK. (MEK is "methyl-ethyl-ketone", and it is a tough solvent!) But it will not hurt the anti-graffiti coating called "Wasser".
We recently completed a large mural project in North Phoenix. Vista Verde Middle School students painted it as a class project. Based on your recommendation we order Sherwin Williams brand, though we were moving toward another.
I used this coating on a mural last fall. I applied 2 coats because I was going to be locked out of the site during the rest of the construction project (spring now and gates are still up) and I had never used it before. Anyway I snuck back in on an overcast day to photograph and I tried to mark it with a regular black marker. Could not get it to mark, just slipped on the surface. Couple of years ago I had a contract to do chalk art for a commercial client (alcohol) infront of beach bars. One town, maybe Manhattan or Huntington had something similar on the sidewalks
I painted a mural on a wall in Silver Strand Beach in Oxnard, Ca. When i sealed mine it turned white! Made the entire mural cloudy. I was devastated! It has been almost a year since i sealed it and it has finally dried and the image is clear and bright again. I used a different product. Because the mural is at the beach, there is a ton of moisture in the air. The manufacture said this is why it clouded. So beware of where of the elements where you are using anti graffiti sealer.
I am wondering how your coating worked out? Did it last a significant amount of time? I believe that this is a GREAT TOPIC for a follow up video!!! Well here’s hoping! See ya next video 🤟🏻🤟🏽🤟🏿🤟🏻
congratulations for your amazing job, the style is original, personally help entertaining me and scape by a moment of the hard situation in my place... thank you for share... regards from venezuela and peace
Hey great to meet you today,,, love the shop,,,,, and people already diggin my new shirt ,, your art,, so yea thanks , take care everybody ,,,,,,,,,,,,
Can you revisit this , as its been four years. Is that mural still up? How is it looking as far as clouding/yellowing? Did the coating's purpose get put to the test? Much thanks for any info
Weird question.. I'm an architect and often try to integrate murals into the designs of buildings. But I can't always specify brick to be the base for the mural. Do you have experience working on other surfaces? For example, a lot of the times we would specify fiber cement panels, siding, or stucco due to cost. Is there any particular surface you would recommend if we are unable to provide brick?
I'm a muralist and I have painted on all kinds of surfaces - brick, concrete, stucco, metal, wood, composite panels. Only material I would avoid painting is plastic. :)
I’m so glad I came across your videos on RUclips ! I go to your videos for inspiration when I want to do my art , but keep up the amazing art 💯 I subbed
I've done an airbrushed mural on an interior wall with water based paints "in some areas used black/white emulsion" would this product be OK to put over it?
You’ve inspired to me to start making bigger pieces so this summer I’m gonna paint my bathroom wall which will be the biggest piece I’ve ever done. Thank you for the amazing content, keep up the good work man!!
the main concern is ''chemical reactions' between the paint & coating, i use spray paint enamels, whats the best to use to protect the vibrancy of the colors? an anti graffiti coat or a water based varnish? an anit graffiti coating is usually chemical based & could react with art work, should i use a varnish? varnishes seem to all be water based & safer to use in regards to reactions with the art work?
Hi! I was wondering if you have painted a mural on wood like a fence, and if so would this product work? I’ve just got started in doing murals. I normally do windows and walls, But I have a customer that is adamant about a mural on a wooden fence. I’ve not got much to test products out, and I’m sure a clear wood sealer may work. I’m just kinda stumped on what to use.
I saw one video, then another, then I said one more, and then a few more. You're videos and art are amazing!!! Totally subscribed and definitely will be following your journey!!! Love the way you edit your videos, it feels like I am there and seeing the whole process. You are probably already so busy working on your art but thank you so much for making time to make these videos.
Yo! 🔥🔥🔥 and Thanks. A client is asking me to do this to a mural I just did for them. Do you mind sharing your contract or pointing me in the right direction for a good one?
hai paura che ti puliscono il muro con candeggina acqua calda e eccetera e eccetera che chi usa il plexiglass per evitare che alcun opere vengano censurate oppure cancellate ho anche bruciate
I'd love to see a test of that anti-grafiti - side by side against an untreated wall.
i dont think u will be able to buff that wall ever again . unless you get it pressure washed
Mike Koss the video I saw all they had to do was spray water on it and the spray paint washes right off. Pretty neat
I have. Its awesome. I work for sherwin

He's just an all around wholesome dude!
I’ve had great success with Sherwood-Williams paints, they last longer and more flexible/durable over weathered times.
I love that you have a paint opener key chain, legit!

FutureLaugh: what anti-UV can be used to protect murals?

Good stuff, Ten, thank you. I'm a painter and for the first time have been asked to try this product. Gonna check it out! Thanks again.
My first big wall got vandalized one week after I finished it, This would have been helpful!
Now go back and do a better piece! Fuck those haters!!!

I will circle back a year from now and let you know how it held up.

wanted to know how much of the gallon you used for that space?
All murals need to wear protection.
Yep, stops all that "unprotected graffiti" that can screw up your art.

@@trenton9 it went well lol it took forever (2 weeks) but I did it lol
@@Jayo___ Good to hear. I may be entering my first mural project which happens to be quite large scale. I fully expect it to take longer than 2 weeks.
@@trenton9 awesome good luck 🤙

Good to see you at ECCC today. Your table was buzzing both times I passed by
Never thought of this before. I will try some of this. Thanks
would you consider talking about what you include in your mural contracts? you touched on this in this video but maybe expand upon it in its own vid?
I have touched on that a bit here: ruclips.net/p/PLjvuq1J91QkYmAaYvyXCp9xluGjdjFHO6
Now my take on this is put a wax coat on a pu-coat. Not the car wax. Plain beeswax. It is cheap and does the trick perfectly
Aloha from Hawaii 🤙 great painting!
I see your list of products but when I click the link none are the wherein Williams coating. Can you send a link? Thanks great video.
You're amazing!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Is Golden still not a sponsor in your channel man?

What is a good anti-UV coating to use to protect paint or plastic bottle cap murals? We need one NOW.
I highly recommend using golden for coating your murals in the future. I personally don't like this particular product and the price.
great vid! keep going! I love your art.
How much of that can covered did you use on this painting?

Hey man - how do you use fluid acrylics on stucco or rough walls? Or do you recommend spraying or rolling flat areas on rough walls first?
Yo 10, we got a few walls in Flint. Let’s F with one.

Dope
Do you use Sherwin Williams paint for any of your other murals?
Trent English not so far
I might be able to get you a full color case of their colors. Not the fan decks , but a case with each color in a small ring binder.
I live in Europe and can't pay with VISA in your store, it sais there's an error on the store page itself.
Hmm, I don’t know why. I send out a lot of orders to Europe and don’t have any issues. Maybe try a different web browser... or clear your cookies?
@@TenHundred I tried everything but it just doesn't work. Here's a screenshot of the error message: imgur.com/a/wuJHcoC

CC up :)
Thank you so much!
InBox....14000 mails
you need 'anti toy'' protection not graffiti because ugly tags who destoyed mos of the murals are not graffiti!!! Graffiti is another level !
That looks like.....
hilarious - anti graffiti over graffiti
"
"Tagging: The voice of a generation with NOTHING to say."
First
mural is the real art, the rest of graffitis are pure vandalism
bro its called a mutha focking nd filter... use one
Yeah I started re-searching those after I made this video. I'm still learning
Culture vultures who appropriate graffiti trying to stop their "art" from being tagged over. Is this some alternate reality? Lmao
