So basically it is a body memory anxiety attack. The body's amygdala remembers something the prefrontal cortex didn't, and reacts accordingly. So the key is to remind yourself that it's a body memory right now that's triggered. And use the thinking brain to slowly calm yourself down. I'll have to try this

Breathing exercises SOLVE this within minutes, so easy ....tons of vids on you tube❤️.........we are designed this way...... calming deep breathes are signals to brain you are in relaxed/ resting ......Also sucking on a hard candy or cough drop help..... yet again, another message is SENT to brain...... you are “ eating/ relaxed”.... as you have salvia / food in your mouth ( if you were caveman you would not be fighting while eating berries, ect......) ....these are tips / tricks..... that can pull you out of a attack........& remind yourself you are safe , their is No Immediate danger....... your body responds..... you are in Control......( anxiety guy, here on you tube is amazing too!)

I find asking myself "What is the worst outcome of this situation?" quite good, and when you answer the question in your head really exaggerate the good things that can happen, it tends to trick my brain and usually helps to sooth or remove anxiety.

Long-term heavy drinking can also cause severe anxiety or depression as the brain is damaged. One must rebuild the brain. I've been going through morning anxiety/depression for eight years (ex-alcoholic, which I believe caused this problem), but you know what? I am much much better now than when it started. Mostly due to breathing, meditation, spiritual studies in the morning (GIFTS FROM A COURSE IN MIRACLES and I AM THAT by Nisargadatta Maharaj work great for me) , and 5htp and suntheanine, natural neutreceuticals have helped me enormously. I also eat raw grassfed organic hamburger (and no alcohol, caffeine, or sugar) to rebuild my brain, and have found this very very effective in strengthening and stabilizing my mind. It takes time. You must find your own solutions, but keep the faith, everyone who suffers severe anxiety-depression, there is definitely hope. And you can have a good, even great life if you work at it! I am so happy to be alive!

To all those who are having a hard time with these so called 'panic-attacks'...pls understand that you are completely normal nd there's nothing wrong with you..it's just your mind playing games with you..So,what we shud do is trust God..there is nothing he cannot solve, god loves us all..it's just we do not realize this nd go after videos nd medical help..sure we need them too but not without God.First, share your problem of fear with God ,trust him and ask him to help you...
    ( "Isaiah 41:10 NIV:
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.)
Say this verse in your mind in times of fear, recite rosaries nd pray continually. You'll recover gradually.May God bless you all😇

How about trying to sleep because you are sleepy and you just can't sleep ajd the thought of not being able to sleep makes you more anxious..and you feel fear. How do you stop it?

Why does that oppression, fear or anxiety come first in the heart not in the brain?

It feels like that because the amygdala it is triggered by emotional memory. Grab my course or my books to learn the biology of it. Sooo helpful! jodiaman.com/anxiety

The "magdyla"? I couldn't continue watching. If the speaker doesn't know the proper name for the part of the brain she is about, I can't imagine she actually knows the topic at all

You don't know what an amygdala is? That is correct. Perhaps I speak quickly, but I do say AMYGDALA.
