I was 17 years old during this game/series. Its insane how many tough shots Jordan attempted and sunk! Clones always talk about his career 3pt%, but never mention how good he was from 3, when it actually mattered!! He was probably the first player to nail 6 3s in a Finals series earlier in his daunting Finals run ('92)
MJ was like the only way I'm not playing is if I'm dead. Again, when they had to have it, he came through in a major way.

@@m42037 Lol, Brons a great players, but he doesn't have that seem drive and determination as Jordan. He likely would have never made it out there in the condition Jordan was in that night. People don't realize how sick Mike was. He was sitting in the dark all night not able to sleep, and whenever the lights went on he would vomit. He had diarhea, cold chills, was sweating all over the place to the point that he had to change his clothes every 20 minutes they said, and pain all over his body, so some thought it was the flu because of some of those symptoms. It was a horrible case of food poisoning, and he likely felt worse than a lot of flu's. Bron wouldn't have made it, but not many players would have, Kobe maybe. MJ could have been on his death bed or close to it, and he still would have tried to make it out there.

I almost fell to my knees last week when I had to work with the flu, 38.8c fever. Didn't even feel safe to drive home so I took a taxi and left my car at work. MJ dropped 38 in the finals with food poisoning. I guess some people are built different.

Such a huge variation in terms of how sick someone gets from COVID. Sot it really depends on a lot of factors, because it's so different for everyone. Some get so sick they are dying, and some barely know they have anything. I think MJ would be playing as long as he wasn't hospitalized, and he's an athlete so he more than likely wouldn't have been as sick as some other people because of his good health. Playing this game with food poisoning is one of MJ's best performances ever in my opinion. Food poisoning also has a big variation in terms of how bad it is, but it has the potential to be absolutely brutal with major suffering, and in some cases can cause death.

This style of NBA was so much better, IMO.
I like watching sports where scoring is the exception, not the rule.
Scoring points in any sport should be difficult to earn and should feel like an accomplishment once they are earned.
In today's NBA, scoring is too cheap and easy. There is no physicality. No rim protection. No hand checking. No "bumping" on screens and cuts. It's just boring.
I dont understand why any sport would create rules that make scoring easy. It doesn't make sense.
