- A very agile aircraft! So agile, I had a very difficult time capturing it's full display on 100% zoom in. Saturday footage has a lot of out-of-frame moments so I needed to reshoot on Sunday show. Being very conservative, managing only to zoom at 80-90% on crowd center pass.
The French Rafale display won two award in RIAT2023 they are:
The Sir Douglas Bader Trophy for Best Individual Flying Display
The As the Crow Flies Trophy for Best Overall Flying Demonstration, judged by FRIAT

Stunning aircraft. I just wish more people understood that the aircraft is just a part of the weapons system. So, I will say it again, one of the most under rated weapons systems out there.

Absolutely brutal display of aircraft abilities and pilot skills.
I am not sure of the aircraft acceleration limits but I am pretty sure they were met(or exceeded🤔) several times.

For accreditation I am a retired fighter pilot with over 5000 hours, primarily in F4 (Vietnam) and F18 (Desert Storm).

The normal limit is 9G, but in footage with HUD display we can see that the solo display can reach 10G easily 😅

It defeated the raptor 1 or a few times vs 6-7 for the raptor with it carring 2 external fuel tanks and the rafale with just Aa training misiles. The f-22 eats the rafale for breakfast in bvr

I liked to see the Rafale display in other EU countries too. The UK has a lot of restrictions for flying displays. I'm already amazed on how well Cpt.Bertrand flew this rafale... What more can he do when he is not on UK airspace.

oh punaise , le passage à partir de 8'10 , il est en passage lent ( 80 noeuds soit 152 km/h ) il met la PC monte en tournant sur la droite , se retourne et repart à plat , je me souviens pas avoir vu cette manoeuvre avant , et il y en plein qui disent que le Rafale manque de puissance !! LOL et tout ça à basse vitesse , très impressionnant !
T'es un bon toi ! C'est sûr qu'à vide c'est bien plus facile. Et ceux qui parlent de manque de puissance sont ceux qui le pilote avec son armement

@@marc9080il a en partie raison, quand le rafale est à pleine charge (carburant et emport) il peine dans les pays chauds à monter en altitude c’est véridique et même reporté par des pilotes Français avec retour d’expérience, et d’ailleurs Safran a des réacteurs M88 qui pourraient pousser à 9,5TX2 soit 18t au lieu de 15t pour les réacteurs actuels ce qui permettrait de le rendre encore plus performant en charge et surtout en altitude. Néanmoins cela reste de toute façon un avion hors norme et clairement le plus efficace en multi mission actuellement dans le monde

et c'est pas mieux pour un avion ennemi derrière le Rafale , le Rafale et le F35 sont les seuls avions dans le monde capable de tirer un missile sur un avion qui se trouve derrière , en utilisant seulement les capteurs passifs , sans allumer le radar , en bref , le pilote ennemi verra bien le départ du missile mais il ne saura pas ue ce missile va faire un grand virage pour revenir sur lui !! LOL et c'est un pilote Brésilien qui a découvert ça , Mr Vianney lors d'un vol !!

Snecma have an M88 with 9,5T but actually French government says it’s ok. But Rafale to be perfect need the 9.5T reactor to be better in high altitude in hot country because with armement and petrol it’s too limit at high altitude

When you see such a video you can understand that F35 is really the best fighter ever built. The skills of USAF's pilots are high over the others pilots. Mighty, beautiful, what a plane !

What are you talking about? Two completely separate things. 1) Pilot skill and 2) Aircraft
There are shitloads of excercises where US fighters have their asses beat in training by "foreign" fighters. Start with checking out "Red Flag".

What an extremely underwhelming display from an extremely underwhelming and over-rated aircraft. It only rolls fast. Thats why he constantly does rolls. It doesnt turn or climb well. No high aoa or anything. Target practice for anerican and russian planes.
@mopar Rafale can obliterate any Russian airframe. They're not in the same league. The Russians cannot get anything to fend off a Rafale... land based anyway. Carrier based? The Russians only have poor performing soviet era fighters, Rafale would be delighted to mop the floor with.
Rafale is the only 4.5 gen fighter to have been able to lock on an f-22.

@guillaumeromain6694 the raffle is target practice for almost any Russian fighter and certainly any American fighter. Of course it's going to get a lock on an f22 in a red flag exercise when the f22 is flying with a wing behind its back. Flying around wirh external fuel tanks on it just so the rafale cam even get close lol of course you won't acknowledge that part because it's what's the word you used inconvenient for you
