House hacking was how I started. We rented a room in my home for $700 a month and the first month quickly turned to 5 years with the same tenant. I save every single months rent, and it got to a point were I was able to save enough to start flipping and get 3 flips done in the unicorn years (2020-2022). At this point, I am going to hold off on flipping for a while and go back to the basics. I plan to raise my rent by $200 and just lay low hoarding cash until things stabilize a bit.
Bigger Pockets inspired me to jump in, and I started in September of 2022! I have been utilizing the BRRRR method, I’ve grown to 8 units spread through 5 properties and I’m closing on my next BRRRR home in February to kick start my year. I can’t thank bigger pockets enough, it may not always be easy, but it’s worth it! So many truth bombs in this video, it’s truly a get rich slow scheme. Lol
So I have started doing research and watching videos on the pros and cons of rental properties and just doing a temperature check. I was drawn to this account over a series of videos that actually mentioned your channel a couple of different times. From an entry level set of eyes you channel seems to have a good standing in the community which is very much appreciated to someone checking things out. I will admit that most of the jargon you all have been using in this podcast is quite confusing.

I started by house hacking before BP existed, after reading Rich Dad Poor Dad. BP supercharged my investing
David always breaks down to dummy proof. Thanks for doing that for us, we understand better; it gets across.
I read the richest man in Babylon once a year. To keep myself in check. What an excellent book
Ok this is the year I’ve decided to get into real estate! Glad this popped up on my feed
