Lowrider can be any vehicle, it is more of a mentality than the vehicle itself. I use to lowride back in the day, those rear skirts you were trying on are called sidewalk skirts. Can't wait till you finish the build.
Ok... I personally believe the body you need for this rig is a 70s- early 80s squarebody Suburban. Patina body with the old school white steelies. Absolute show stopper.
“Florida Man” because, you may not be aware, but you’d almost certainly see someone in that state driving a 100 series with it slammed down tot the street top WITH those wire wheels on it. Basically, you’ve nailed the look already, Matt.
Hi mate, have the same body LC105. A friend of mine made it long time ago. Takes 2 years to get it done. Unfortunaly the mold is gone. Didn't done a lot of them. Mine is close to finish on a run-80 chassis. Best wishes Jens
Heck Yeah Matthew Glad to see you enjoying the Fifty Nine Lowrider (mine in Blue too) I think @redcatracing and @jeveries done a Great job scaling these model's in detail 💯 That's a really neat way to extend the chassis to make it fit the rover body can't wait to see what you're creative mind and engineering skills do with this project 🎉🎊🎉 Lastly, if'n You're not gonna do anything with the extra chrome part's then I'm interested in them for my 59 Lowrider in Blue to "BLING" it out LOL 😁 ✌🤠👍 HFLPRCing =Having Fun Laughing Playing and RCing 👍😎👍 AOAH =Association of Addicted Hobbiest 🙏 SSPH =Stay Safe and Play Healthy My Friend
I really dig the low riders Redcat put out. I just don’t know if I would run more than a couple batteries through it before I got bored and it just sat on the shelf looking cool. If I was more of a modeling guy, I think it would be a great project to customize and really make it look awesome.
Lowrider Land Cruiser is gonna be fantastic, can't wait to see it done. One thing I'd do is see about putting some huge wheels and low profile tires on it, really sell the look.
I've been having trouble with my transmission on my 59 but there is a fix for it my gears kept wearing out whenever I would drive at full speed with the factory electronics turned all the way up. Keep in mind this was a stock setup I just increased the settings to the max. The gears seemed to self destruct. The fox that I've found was to add little washers on opposing gears(meaning one per gear) . My transmission seems much quieter now and able to drive at full speed without self destructing.
Honestly I’d stick with the 59 impala body, but that’s my opinion and not my rc either. It is different though running the Land Cruiser body though, keep up the good work.
Need ideas just look up them in Australia I've seen slammed 100 series on bags here but never juice... My mum actually has a 100 series LandCruiser but it's made for off road an towing I love driving it.. it's done a few trips around Australia
Thought it was going to be an Escalade at first haha that would’ve fit the culture well but this is going to be super cool and unique. Excited to see where it goes
I was a little horrified when you cut through the chassis of a $500. + RC car. But the new car has a lot of potential to be like an organized crime bosses car. Maybe go that direction and call it the King Pin. Maybe get a Scarface action figure to go with it.
The Toyota Slan'Md Cruiser or the Toyota Urban Excursion Limited (combining the Toyota and Ford badges) would be cool names. You could even name it the Toyota Limbo Cruiser.
I've never been a fan of the square box on wheels look. I own 3 K-5's, but not because they look cool, just cuz it's an efficient design. In fantasy world? IE modeling? I want cool and interesting. But the coolest thing, is building something you think is cool and getting together with all us others who think their stuff is cool and all being cool together. You do awesome work. I hope to see it again.
I thought these looked good in photos, but wow seeing it on video really shows how cool the bodies are. I wish somebody made a 51 Ford Victoria body. I could have an RC car to match my car :). Maybe I could find an STL for someone local to print
I love the idea but you need an interior. Just my opinion 🤷 . It's coming from the greatest scale builder in our hemisphere, so I know it's gonna be absolutely amazing 👏
It would be cool to take the Monte Carlo version and add accessories to make it look like the 1:1 lowrider the guys from Roadkill took off-road. I wonder if anyone in the crawler community has done that.
Kewl project Matt! Since you are making a LC low rider how 'bout turning the 59 into a crawler? I know, I know, RedCat did it with the 64 and it was unique but a properly done 59 like you would build would be freakin' awesome. Just saying. Lovin' "What's on the Bench" !
I've seen those online and was interested in how it all worked so thank you. Being born and raised in Canada I definitely haven't seen too many lowriders in person although they are out there. What part of Canada are you from? I'm out on the sunshine coast BC
what is that Monster Energy Van in the back? I've been looking for a 1/10 scale van for a project I've been wanting to build and that van in the background looks like the perfect candidate for my project.
Ever since these came out I instantly thought of the purple Jesse James lowrider 40 ford body that's 1/6 ish scale....(that has sat on my shelf for 4 years). I have debated slapping slash guts under it to make it move, but that's not very lowrider. As for the name of it... slamd cruiser
Please please PLEASE put a sound system in there. Also, I need it to have a Cali tag on the back or if Florida of you going for a Miami or maybe Jacksonville thing.
@Scale Builder's Guild I hear ya...but its all about scale, right? Show me a lowrider that doesn't have a decent sound system lol. Driving a lowrider may not be your thing too but here we are hahahaha.
So are you going to put together the chrome chassis for the 59 so you have two lowrider or are you willing to sell off that stuff with body because I'm not a fan of rtr and if you sold it off I would love to buy them off you
If ur trying to be creative then the LC body is good, else maybe one of the Chevy blazer bodies like the Traxxas Chevrolet Blazer (1972) or similar would be more scale . Either looks like a fun project. Good luck
Some scale 22"s and you'll be on the right track. The Cen F250 wheels mounted backwards might actually tuck inside the body... The big question is are you going full bling or are you going to murder it out? This is one of those platforms I am glad is doing well and hope it continues to do well. As it might make other companies release their own lowriders. Tamiya has been making bank off their semis I am surprised no one else thought to jump in with a different licensed body.
"I'm gonna review this thing....aaaand chop it RTF in half." You show no fear👍🙂👍
I think your next monthly mayhem needs to be to get these to crawl 😂😂
This is an absolutely perfect idea!! 😂
Yes please 🙏
Yes 🙌
But it must keep the hopping capabilities
I appreciate that you are very informative and also you are very articulate I like that you keep your room in order very nice.
Thank you! I appreciate you watching the video (and the mess is all hidden 😂).
Thanks for sharing the gifts you send..
R.C world forever.
1:45 ...Now that was funny!😆🤣
Lowrider can be any vehicle, it is more of a mentality than the vehicle itself. I use to lowride back in the day, those rear skirts you were trying on are called sidewalk skirts. Can't wait till you finish the build.
Always loved the look of a lowered K5 Blazer...
Well… you have “Jelly Bean”, it’s only fitting to call it “Gobstopper”…
I think "Donkey Cruiser" will be perfect fit for it 🤣
The name should be. SLAMMED.
Really love that car trying to save to get really like the build.
Love the show
Love how its laying frame or as the streets say.. laying on its nutz..
I did the same thing. I bought a extra floor pan and frame. Extended it with c channel and extra plastic. Using a vaterra suburban as body.
The '59 is my favorite too! I would leave the skirts off too. Now that you've ruined the chassis send me the '59 body!😂
RC lowriders, literally minutes of fun!!!
Lol I just want the body oh I take reef servo too
Ok... I personally believe the body you need for this rig is a 70s- early 80s squarebody Suburban. Patina body with the old school white steelies. Absolute show stopper.

The perfect body. I canNOT wait to see what you come up with on the "LandHopper" You best be putting spinners on it!! 🤣😂🤣😂
Man 59 impala was the best one. Little before my time but a American beauty.
This is build is very intriguing. You got me glued to the screen for this one.
Thanks for watching!

Stay tuned! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!
Fun build for sure! How about TOYLOWTA lol
Hahahahaha YES KEVIN!!
the black body and chrome wheels makes it look like a london taxi
Drift wheels...some sweet 3 wheel broadies..
“This Tolowta is going to be fantastic” 😅🎉😂
I had a 64 sold it after stripping 2 trans gears just cruising around
You should airbrush “praise the lowered” on the tailgate!
😂
I was hoping for an SUV body. Great stuff Matt!!!
Would be sweet to find a Volvo body tho 😅
That 200 looks like a Subaru Forester on that chassis... That could be an interesting build 🤔
I really dig the low riders Redcat put out.
I just don’t know if I would run more than a couple batteries through it before I got bored and it just sat on the shelf looking cool.
If I was more of a modeling guy, I think it would be a great project to customize and really make it look awesome.
mines been sitting since i got it, was fun for a few hours figure the kids could play with it and they all hate it because its not fast
I've enjoyed my 64 way more than I was expecting when I got it. This thing definitely needs to end up with some CEN f250 or f450 wheels
That thing IS pretty cool. I was laughing like a kid when you were hopping the front end continuously 🤣
I dig that lowrider, im humming ice cube was a good day
Can’t wait to see that low cruiser
I've been waiting patiently for you to get one of these and give it the SBG touch!
Nice LDC-23. Low Down Cruiser ‘23. 👍
oh you need the gold daytons for that sled!
Highlight of the week! 😊
Thanks!
I can't wait until episode 500!
Deep dived lowrider land cruisers, found one from Australia with a roof top tent. Don't think it was the same series tho. Not going lie I liked it 🤷
Oh man!, I can't wait for episode 69 now....hehehe....
Nice, I cut my monte carlo a couple months ago to fit a caddy body I printed.
Lowrider Land Cruiser is gonna be fantastic, can't wait to see it done. One thing I'd do is see about putting some huge wheels and low profile tires on it, really sell the look.

Looks like this will be an interesting project. We'll done
Thanks 👍
Or, The Truffle Shuffle…
Thought it was going to be an Escalade at first haha that would’ve fit the culture well but this is going to be super cool and unique. Excited to see where it goes
Can’t wait to see how this turns out. I always enjoy your videos. I’m thinking El Chapo.
I ordered the Continental kit and the gold and chrome wheels, and the jevries club plaque
Enjoy!
I think a van body, or even VW minibus would work great!
great idea can't wait for the final design
I think monthly Mayham with that 59 chassis speed demon would be Siick
Name…. Hmmm…… Swamp Donk-E. Weather it heavily with some CEN wheels and low profile tires.
Comes with a 50/50 warranty. If it breaks in half, you own both pieces.
I was a little horrified when you cut through the chassis of a $500. + RC car. But the new car has a lot of potential to be like an organized crime bosses car. Maybe go that direction and call it the King Pin. Maybe get a Scarface action figure to go with it.
You could call it the bouncing brit 🤘y'all have a badass day🤘🍻🤘
🤘
The Toyota Slan'Md Cruiser or the Toyota Urban Excursion Limited (combining the Toyota and Ford badges) would be cool names. You could even name it the Toyota Limbo Cruiser.
Limbo Cruiser would be great
I almost had a stroke when you were taking the saw to the chassis
Thank you. Ive been waiting to see someone do this.
Looks Awesome with that body. Gotta put some "sounds" in that build most definitely bro.
MIDWID!
I've only seen one in Texas...
Perhaps L.A.
I would be tempted to put that impala body on a monster truck type platform.
Should’ve done a jeep ;)
This is an excellent series and I love the soon-to-be Landhopper!
I've never been a fan of the square box on wheels look. I own 3 K-5's, but not because they look cool, just cuz it's an efficient design.

Cool!
I can’t wait to buy this on eBay. “Why did I cut this in half” category
More like, "YES! He cut it in half!"
Gotta make a new episode on this project!
Did you say episode 29 and then the graphic say 28? Just asking. Always love your content. Did you do that on purpose?
Sometimes the best of us make mistakes.
It’s the Low Two Hundo!
This will be a fun build to watch you build.
Missed opportunity to make a Volvo wagon low-rider! Just kidding. Looks like a fun project.
Next time 😂!
Gotta put some speakers in the trunk, I saw rcsparks put a lol bluetooth speaker in his rc Raptor, and call it BoomBoxx
Neat, that's not for me though. Hate hearing music come out of an RC truck!
I love the idea but you need an interior. Just my opinion 🤷 . It's coming from the greatest scale builder in our hemisphere, so I know it's gonna be absolutely amazing 👏
Wow! That's a huge compliment! Stay tuned!
Holy sh*t Matt you cut the chassis? lol can't wait to see what you come up with. But I can dig it.
Project slam cruiser!!! Love your content and SBG.
Thanks! 👍
It would be cool to take the Monte Carlo version and add accessories to make it look like the 1:1 lowrider the guys from Roadkill took off-road. I wonder if anyone in the crawler community has done that.
I've actually thrown around that idea quite a bit. Just haven't pulled the trigger to get it yet.
WOW ! Cool Matty!
Great vid Matt! Definitely felt the RC Everyday vibe on that one.
Awesome! Thank you!
Love how you said Josh would be fired for video editing and then don’t update the intro
Surely with that body it's now a Land Rider Not a Land Cruiser, looks like its gonna be a fun build.
I've seen those online and was interested in how it all worked so thank you. Being born and raised in Canada I definitely haven't seen too many lowriders in person although they are out there. What part of Canada are you from? I'm out on the sunshine coast BC
Toronto!
The Toyota is a great choice way to make things interesting
The Lowland Cruiser
Project name... Slammer!! All day!! Would the escalade body fit? Just curious.
what is that Monster Energy Van in the back? I've been looking for a 1/10 scale van for a project I've been wanting to build and that van in the background looks like the perfect candidate for my project.
It's a Carisma Prairie Coyote body on a TRX4 Sport Chassis.
@@scalebuildersguild thank you. much appreciated.
The landhopper haha
Call it the "landscraper" or "landdragger"
I want to do this so bad!! But with the already done rc4wd blazer body. I just bring myself to spend all that money on an rc I will barely use haha
Lol I have that car too somehow door missing . That's good idea I never though of using slash I'm going see if I still have it
the land slammer? Low Cruiser XD land bouncer?
Please please PLEASE put a sound system in there. Also, I need it to have a Cali tag on the back or if Florida of you going for a Miami or maybe Jacksonville thing.
Pass! I'm not a fan of music in my RC's.
@Scale Builder's Guild I hear ya...but its all about scale, right? Show me a lowrider that doesn't have a decent sound system lol. Driving a lowrider may not be your thing too but here we are hahahaha.
I must admit you are quite insane! 🤣🤣🤣
So are you going to put together the chrome chassis for the 59 so you have two lowrider or are you willing to sell off that stuff with body because I'm not a fan of rtr and if you sold it off I would love to buy them off you
Sorry, not for sale!
The Slamd Cruiser.
Absolutely not the right body...but that is why it is going to so fricken cool.
Name, The Lowver !
If ur trying to be creative then the LC body is good, else maybe one of the Chevy blazer bodies like the Traxxas Chevrolet Blazer (1972) or similar would be more scale . Either looks like a fun project. Good luck
love the body choice , good luck
Thanks!
It hops man!!!!!
