we promised in highschool we would smoke a blunt at the funeral if one of us died. unfortunately the occation came up when my buddy Jon was only 25. All of us made sure to wait for after the service when they were just finished filling in the dirt. We rolled over to it and stood in a final circle. We talked about movies which he loved. Finished the blunt just as the crew came up to do the grass. buried the rest of it right there with him. Miss ya buddy.

These stories remind me of going back to my house to change to go to a 18 and up club night in Milton pa back in the day and we had road beers on the way home. A cop sitting roadside seen us as we sped past him and got in a chase. I went to throw the beer bottles out the window and they bounced off the inside of the roof all over the car. Everything was covered in beer as we were speeding away from the cop we lost him on a back road because he had a crown Victoria and they didn’t handle well in the dirt roads😂

I feel you KJ with the mistaken phrase. I recently learned around age 32-33 that the phrase "making ends meet" wasn't spelled meat. I heard it when I was a kid and my immediate thought I held for so long was the end pieces of meatloaf, which I didn't like. So when someone said they could barely make ends meet, I associated with all they could afford was the worst part of the meatloaf. Sounded awful to me, so I was actually feeling what they were saying without knowing it. I didn't realize it until I saw it in a newspaper article and laughed that they spelled it wrong...then I looked it up and found out that I was way too old to be finding out I was wrong the whole time.
