- Hi guys, this week I visit the beautiful town of Holmfirth, famous for the much loved classic "Last of the Summer wine".
We take a lovely wander round some familiar sites that fans of the show will surely recognise.
We start our trip with a quick stop at the centuries old Saddleworth Church which has some really interesting features.
The day is then rounded off with a beautiful sunset at the gorgeous Digley reservoir near Holmfirth, So join me for a lovely little Yorkshire adventure.
Don't forget to drop a comment and a thumbs up if you like and if you're really feeling a moment of madness hit the sub button for more of my meanderings.
Thanks for watching, Adioski 👋

Thanks Deb, think LockDown has left us all on catch up lol, glad you're enjoying them, you have a great day too 👍
Thanks for the travel vlogs :) I love old churches and graveyards myself. If you're ever round and about Llandudno check out St Tudno's church on the Great Orme, there's a couple of old gravestones with freemasonic cipher's on them. Very interesting. There's also wild camping spots up there too. Tried, tested and safe X
Thanks, glad you're enjoying them. Once all the restrictions have been lifted I plan on heading back around Wales, I'll keep an eye out for that one, cheers 👍😊
👍🏻
What are your travel tips on getting from CA to Holmfirth UK for a week (or two!!)? Beautiful. I want to have a cup of coffee at Nora's Cafe!!!!! Barb/Sacramento, CA
I would say fly to Manchester. Get a train from Manchester Airport to Manchester piccadilly. From there you get the Huddersfield train getting off at Marsden and then from Marsden you can get a bus to Holmfirth via Meltham. Plenty of pretty villages to explore on the way. Long way to go for a cuppa though barb lol.
In America we have workers who keep the cemeterys clean.
We do over here too for the bigger cemeteries, think it depends on which church they belong too for the smaller ones
💙
