Hi guys, thanks so much for your wonderful vlogs. I watch your current ones as they come out but am also playing catch-up. That was a beautiful day’s cruise. Very long and off to a bad start but after that, Wow. The evening shots looked so peaceful and serene. I hope you rested well that night 👍
That’s so good to hear Paul! That was some day for sure. Started out beautifully, then the lock panic, then the far longer cruise than we had planned! Sometimes it just happens like that, when you keep thinking ‘just a little bit further’, then can’t find anywhere to moor! 😊
I think one of the things which makes your vlogs stand out is your music selection. That just seems to take the vlogs to another level. Coupled with beautiful cinematography and adorable pups, you really deserve awards. On this day, the the waterways and the locks seem ENORMOUS. What a beautiful part of the country. Hug those pups and yourselves. Leigh
What wonderful words to wake up to Leigh! You’ve made our day. I never realised how much I would enjoy choosing the music for the videos at the start of this RUclips thing! Thanks for being such a lovely supporter of our channel 😊
I enjoyed the time stamps. They were very informative. I just noticed with this vlog how extremely tall some of the lock walls are! Hamish was adorable putting himself on the boat. Good boy.
Glad you enjoyed it Shirley. I hope the time stamps would help with how long it takes in a boat! Those locks were huge!! And yes, I was chuckling too when I was editing, as Hamish was wandering at his own pace back to the boat. There’s no hurrying him 😊
HUGE!!! And a little intimidating, especially when there’s no lock keeper on duty! But those buttons are easier to press than cranking a stiff paddle on a canal! Looking forward to seeing you guys at a Crick! We are making our way there slowly with Paul & Anthony, guiding them through southern waters for the first time 😂😊
Thanks so mich Kevin! We definitely slept well! We still can't believe we did 52 miles in 2 days! Slightly crazy but we were so ready to get back onto the canals! 😊
Wow. Over 12 hours cruising. That was certainly a long day but very beautiful. Great vlog again. Loved the map at the beginning showing where you’d been (bet that was easy to do 🤣). Love the music, so relaxing. Xx
Nah then, ay up me ducks. I've walked the Erewash canal, River Trent path and Beeston/Nottingham Canal many times so really enjoyed watching this. The Beeston Lock as you described is actually the Cranfleet Lock. Beeston Lock is further back towards Nottingham where the weir is on the Trent, the Beeston Marina and the lovely old canal cottages that are now a cafe. 🙂
Huge locks but nice to see you back on the smaller canals. My Nottingham football hat is next to my computer. The boss and I are Hot Spur fans - but I put their hat on the penalty hat hook after the slacking they took yesterday. (6 - 1 ouch) I see the 'temp manager' (coach to us Yankees) got sacked. Oh well - being a old Cub baseball fan. Use to saying 'maybe next year' they will do better. (lol) I do hope the Spurs do better next year. Just had some lovely Wisconsin aged swiss wheel cheese. Are you a swiss cheese fan? Lovely stuff. Thank you for the video. Hope the puppies, family and you are doing well. Take care my internet friends.
Good morning Tom! Our son is a huge spurs fan too, since he was little, and finally got to go and see them play live against Chelsea a few weeks ago and they won! I am heading to Wisconsin to see our daughter in a few weeks and can’t wait to get some of that aged Wisconsin cheese. Cheddar is my favourite. Last time we had 15 year aged, but we may up the game to 20 years this time! Yum! Hope you are keeping well 😊
We have had 2 automatic locks fail on us and have had to do the emergency reset process. At least we know it works now though, so are more relaxed about it if it happens! 😊
Do you mean in the lock opening sequence? It was a while ago now, but looking back I know I remember I had to repeat some of the clips to make sense of the opening/closing process, as I hadn’t filmed it all 👍
Sorry about that Annette. We are investing in some lapel mics to make the audio clearer over the engine noise and wind. Up to now we have just used my phone to record on. Thanks for watching 😊
Great part of the world enjoyed the music the views and the way you dealt with the given situation well done enjoy UK
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for your lovely comments 😊
A fantastic watch and so relaxing. Music and chill for viewer. Cheers Xx
Thanks so much Julie 😊
Wonderful viewing, so relaxing!
Glad you enjoyed it Barry 😊

Beautiful day, sunrise to sunset on the water. Thank you for sharing! So relaxing to watch.❤
So glad you enjoyed it Lisa! Even though it was a super long day it was so beautiful cruising in the early morning and evening light 😊

Can’t believe the size of those locks!! Well done 👏🏻 you both handled it well.

Thanks so much for your kind words David. Glad you are enjoying the vlogs 😊
Really enjoy your videos … 😊
That’s so good to hear Ian! Thanks for watching 😊
You must have had a sore thumb after unsucessfylly trying to open that lockgate 😀
Love from Denmark
I was panic jabbing those buttons, hoping that they would miraculously work 😂. Thanks for watching 😊
Stunning as always. How idyllic was that cruise. Every best wish
Thanks so much 😊
Apart from the unexpected hiccup at the start, what a wonderfully peaceful day cruising.
Despite the exhaustion and the pain. At the first lock it was a beautiful day with lovely weather! Glad you enjoyed it Jill 😊

I had a feeling that I had got mixed up when I was editing the captions! Thanks for clarifying. Glad you enjoyed retracing your steps with us 😊
We just saw you at Mercia Marina, you waved to my daughter on the floating cafe. She turned away embarrassed 😅
Lovely boat xx
Hi Tina, awww bless her. I remember seeing you this morning hope you all enjoyed the cafe ❤️
Brilliant thank you both🙏✝️🙏🇨🇦
Thank you James 😊
Just a short cruise then Pete 😂. My favourite bridge has to be number one on the Trent and Mersey 😉. ❤️
Let’s try and break that 13.5 hour cruising record while you are with us 😂

You missed out Beeston lock where you rammed the lock wall 🤣🤣
Thanks for watching 👍
I thought only I did silly long days lol But if you still feel like moving why not.
That was a mega silly long day especially after an almost as long day the day before! At least the sun was shining though 😊☀️
Luvly
Thanks for watching Ray 😊
You must have been unlucky. Never had a problem on those big locks whilst self operating.
We have had 2 automatic locks fail on us and have had to do the emergency reset process. At least we know it works now though, so are more relaxed about it if it happens! 😊
Some of those video segments appear out of the correct sequence.
Do you mean in the lock opening sequence? It was a while ago now, but looking back I know I remember I had to repeat some of the clips to make sense of the opening/closing process, as I hadn’t filmed it all 👍
I know you love your flowers but they block my view of the countryside but otherwise quality content
They did get rather tall didn’t they! Thanks for watching 😊
I have trouble hearing you unless you speak into the mic closer.
Sorry about that Annette. We are investing in some lapel mics to make the audio clearer over the engine noise and wind. Up to now we have just used my phone to record on. Thanks for watching 😊
@@onedaymoreaboard We enjoy your vlogs
Truly enjoy your journey But we can't hear you speak as your music is so loud.😢
We are investing in some lapel mics to improve our sound quality. Thanks for watching 😊
