For those that aren't aware who this song is about, it's about Robert F. Kennedy. He was the younger brother of U.S. President John F. Kennedy, and one of the most admirable politicians in American history. "Bobby" Kennedy ran his older brother's successful presidential campaign in 1960, and was soon after given a job in JFK's Cabinet, as Attorney General. He and JFK were an inseparable duo, and many of JFK's initiatives on civil rights (which was in its most famous and tumultuous decade), came as a result of his younger brother's politically-uncommon compassion and desire to help those in need. After JFK was assassinated in 1963, Bobby Kennedy committed himself to carrying on his martyred brother's legacy, leaving his Attorney General spot to become a pro-civil rights, anti-war New York Senator, then positioning himself to run for President in 1968 on a platform of social justice ideals and a hope for the American future. Sadly, after coming very close to winning the Democratic nomination (actually on the night of winning the California primary), Robert Kennedy was shot and killed in Los Angeles. His death came just two months after the death of Martin Luther King, Jr., and was a devastating blow to those who were politically and economically marginalized in the turbulent times of the 1960s. He had an political integrity that has never been seen since his loss, and Jon Stewart aptly described him as having "a passion and a depth of belief, and an optimism and a tenacity" that we should all aspire to, and that we should all expect from those in power. Take a minute to do some research on Bobby Kennedy. Learn about his life, what he stood for, and what his legacy is. His story and his sacrifice are tales of incredible achievements and terrible tragedies, and ones from which we can learn much. In these times of great political dishonesty and widespread disillusionment with the American political process, we must demand better. We must call for people like Robert Kennedy to rise up in our governments all across the world, and for them to stand up for the principles of liberty and justice for people all over the world.
+Guitarman1275 Wow if you comment wasn't there I I could never have knew nothing about this man. Thx for share your info! :) That's sad he died like that even if he seems like a nice political man. A chill music who commemorated a man that's more emotional.
I don't know what he did in America but, like all america's presidents of that period, he probably enstablished some dictatures to obtain oil and killed comunists
+TheProMiniMi He was actually a pretty cool guy. And Robert wasn't a president, his brother, John, was. They both tried for peace, and just a better world all around. Sadly, some people didn't appreciate such an effort, and assassinated them.

Okay, so I have a little theory as to who Bobby K is exactly as some of you might wonder... I did a little research since I was curious and may or not be procrastinating some homework :p I believe this song is dedicated/based on Robert F. Kennedy based on what I found... SO, she first starts the song with "we were hot and exhausted and our lungs worn out fighting for our rights" (hot due to it being almost summer, he died on June 5th which is typically hot and fighting for our rights because hello Civil Rights Acts/Movement) "'68 we, rush the gate, we" (he was assassinated in 1968) "with a .22 caliber shot gun down, hanging at his side" (the weapon used that killed him) plus I'm almost POSITIVE she sings "Bobby Kennedy never dies, he lives in our hearts, he lives in our hearts" (since Bobby is a common nickname for the name Robert) Credit to our oh so reliable resource Wikipedia lol that's just my interpretation though!

Sheepy I think a good idea would be to do an 'Underdog Week' or something where you feature unknown producers that perhaps dont have top class mastered tracks ect. like the usual content. It would be good to expose potential and give 'underdogs' an awesome kick start
BMXrace321 Sheepy is already doing that. But only with artists he/she thinks deserves the attention. It makes sense for unpopular but good artists to get shout outs from popular channels.
BMXrace321 This is pretty much what his other channel is for. Lots of "underdogs" get a promotion there, the only requirement is that the song is free.
yall should look up bobby kennedy, the man wouldve changed the world. he wouldve ended the war in vietnam before the draft, the civil rights movement would have kept going, the war on drugs probably wouldnt have happened. his death demoralized and destroyed a generation, the american generation most full of love and a drive to make the world a better place.

Factually, it was actually a .22 caliber Iver-Johnson Cadet revolver that killed RFK. The song probably uses shotgun because it fits the lyrics better. It's art, not a documentary - enjoy the song dipshit.
Damn I searched A LOOOOOT to this song so I could download it because in Google Play music it appeared like "King - New America" and I could not find it anywhere, now I did not lost the hope to find this song and, well, I FOUND IT! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

I was listening to this song in 2016 and I have very deep memories and I still listen
Damn me too❤😭
We were all out on the plaza the day that he died
We were hot and exhausted and our lungs worn out
Fighting for our rights
The powers that be were breathing down our backs
And we cried out
And he heard us
Yeah he heard us
(chorus x2)
68 we rush the gate
We welcome you to the new america
Welcome you to the new america
To the new america
Bobby Kennedy never dies he lives in our hearts
He lives in our hearts
Bobby Kennedy never dies he lives in our hearts
He lives in our hearts
You can watch the world
Circle round the drain
But you can't keep us from fighting in his name
Bobby Kennedy never dies he lives in our hearts
He lives in our hearts
(verse 2)
With a .22 caliber shot gunned down, hanging at his side
Took away our man in Washington
But he can't take our pride
Cross our hearts and pray to the lord his soul to keep
And we keep marching, keep marching
Keep marching
(chorus x2)
68 we rush the gate
We welcome you to the new america
Bobby Kennedy never dies he lives in our hearts
He lives in our hearts
Bobby Kennedy never dies he lives in our hearts
He lives in our hearts
You can watch the world
Circle round the drain
But you can't keep us from fighting in his name
Thanks!

There's no such thing as a "22 caliber shotgun"
there is a 22. caliber shotgun
+TheHappy DogeFace nope. Because a shotgun shoots SHOTGUN shells, not BULLETS
+Incept ing actually youre a dip shit there is a .22 Caliber shotgun. Its called Remington model 121 .22 Routledge smoothbore. Do some research before you try to sonds smart .😊
ok "sonds"
Factually, it was actually a .22 caliber Iver-Johnson Cadet revolver that killed RFK. The song probably uses shotgun because it fits the lyrics better. It's art, not a documentary - enjoy the song dipshit.
Damn I searched A LOOOOOT to this song so I could download it because in Google Play music it appeared like "King - New America" and I could not find it anywhere, now I did not lost the hope to find this song and, well, I FOUND IT! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
What genre would this be?
Sex French +Snow blaze chill trap
Sex French Smurfffyy thanks guys! :)
Yea no this is definitely chillstep because trap has harder drops and faster beats.

Snow blaze It's 'Future Bass' just as ForeignOrangeHD had mentioned.
