His research focuses on issues and trends related to religion in politics and race, and how these areas affect social change. His new book, "Black Dignity: The Struggle against Domination", is published by Yale University Press.
Motsamai Molefe is a senior researcher at the Centre for Leadership Ethics at the University of Fort Hare, South Africa. Molefe’s research largely focuses on African analytic philosophy. His areas of specialisation are African and Western ethics, Applied ethics (bioethics and environmental ethics), and Social and political philosophy. His work is extensively centred on the moral-political concepts, such as human dignity, needs, personhood, and Ubuntu.
