Awesome as always with the clearest directions on the planet. Thank you! And I agree about how sweet boys can be, and continue to be when they become young men. What a blessing!
It's absolutely beautiful, Allison! I love the quilted look, and the stitching compliments your design. Thank you so much for sharing. I am always excited when I see that you posted a new video. ☺
I love it!! I definitely want to recreate this! My problem is I always want to start with a layout like this instead of ending with a layout that takes scraps! Lol
Hi Allison :) I'm a new subbie! Thanks for the inspiring video! I'm really make more cards than scrapbook, but this would be very transferable and I have much material from my scrap bin to use. Terrific stash buster! Thanks again for the inspiration :)
I'm making this one right now. I have the same paper pad you used. My question is what is the dimension of the large heart cut out you use as your base?
I did. If you don’t have one you can also use a large heart template or hand draw one and then cut it out. This is the second layout I’ve made using this design and the first I didn’t have a die cutting machine so I used a large chipboard heart as a template to trace and cut. 😊
Love, Love, Love your detailed stitch work - beautiful! I love the use of 6x6 paper pads as well - You're very talented Allison
Thank you so much! What a sweet thing to say!!

Thanks for subscribing! I'm glad you found the video helpful!
Love this page! My question is how do you add the scallop border around the curves of the heart?
Thank you!! I used a 1/2" circle punch and adhered the circles so that only half is showing around the heart.
I'm making this one right now. I have the same paper pad you used. My question is what is the dimension of the large heart cut out you use as your base?
My heart is about 11-1/4". You could easily adjust it to a smaller size if you needed. :)
How did you get the black scalloped edge?
I used a 1/2” circle punch on black card stock and then adhered the circles under the edge of the heart so that only half of it shows. 😊
@@allisondavis4sg944 thank you for the information. I made this and love how it turned out.
You’re welcome!!
Do you sell the chalk inks that you were using?
Unfortunately they no long make that ink. I was so sad when I heard that they were discontinuing it! It was my favorite ink.
@@allisondavis4sg944 thank You, I had heard it was no longer available but when I saw you using one I had hope, darn, thanks for your reply
did you cut your heart with an electronic cutter?
I did. If you don’t have one you can also use a large heart template or hand draw one and then cut it out. This is the second layout I’ve made using this design and the first I didn’t have a die cutting machine so I used a large chipboard heart as a template to trace and cut. 😊
About how many total strips are needed for this size heart? Thanks
I had about 5-6 strips cut from 12 different patterns.
@@allisondavis4sg944 thanks. Looking forward to trying this. It looks like fun.
What size is the heart?
I don't have the layout here with me (it's on display at Scrapbook Generation right now) so I'm not 100% sure. If I had to guess I would say it's 11"
