I love your “What I Ate Today” videos. I have reached my goal weight so I don’t need to lose anymore, but I do need to maintain my weight and your recipes are great for that purpose. If you need to brand the videos at all, maybe you could use the term “weight loss maintenance” or “weight maintenance” or something along those lines. 💚

Love your message. Totally resonates with me. I’m still😢 obsessed with the numbers on the scale even though everyone tells me I look too skinny. I weighed extra 50lb when I was younger and that is still the version of myself I see in the mirror. Like you I still have a "tummy" which irks me to no end. I think all the social media posts from vloggers who’ve lost weight and showing off their super buff bodies can be so triggering. I know I need to show myself more compassion and I’m sure it’s the same for many women. My goal should be making peace with food and finding my hunger cues.
Thank you for sharing a great message.

I am so happy you talked about this. I came to that realization myself this year. I spent 54 years chasing my smallest self. I lost 100 pounds last year. Now I have a lot of loose skin. I am 63 so gravity is winning. I have my measurements from when I was 30 and I was 170 pounds just like I am now but I now have 6 inch extra around my waist. Same weight but extra skin. It took me a while to accept this. And I actually thought of trying to lose more weight. But I am very healthy and my blood test are all optimum. So thank you for this video. Love you❤

For me your videos are very helpful because of health reasons. I never came here to loose weight. It's difficult to find someone who cooks whole food plant based WITHOUT THE OIL. I still think you should talk about the weight loss though because it will help so many that need that. But I eat this way because I have lupus and it is part of what helps keep it in remission without taking meds. Thank you for all you do, I've bought a couple of your books and enjoy your recipes very much..as well as your real life vulnerable style 😄

🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 FRENCH TOAST IDEA !!! I have an idea for french toast. Tofu scramble (with silken tofu) is one of my go to’s for meals. What if you make an ‘egg wash’ for French toast using soft silken tofu and the scramble ingredients (e.g. turmeric, garlic, black-salt, cumin, plant milk) and blend up. I’m definitely going to try it! You’re an inspiration to me. Look at me, making up recipes! 😊

Yesterday I marinated tofu in teriyaki, air fried it and added to sautéed enoki mushrooms. Delish! My teriyaki = 2 of each - 2 oz soya sauce, 2 oz water, 2 sweetener of choice, 2 tsp garlic, 2 T grated frozen ginger. I freeze my ginger and use microplaner to grate frozen ginger with peel on.

I made your veggie hash from the last video - put it in some romaine lettuce leaves and topped with a mixture of some spicy sauces I had in the fridge - super yummy! Of course, it made a huge batch, and I'm not really a volume eater, so there is plenty left over to add to other stuff. I have recently lost 11lbs and am now in the normal range for bmi.
I am trying to make sustainable changes to habits so I don’t put the weight back on.
There is a temptation to think that everything will be better when you are slimmer, and to put things off thinking you will find things easier when you get to a certain weight.
I’m trying to not obsess too much about how much more weight I will lose, I don’t want to be always pushing to get lower numbers on the scales.
My next goal is to add in more exercise because ultimately health is what is important not the number on the scale.
It’s a huge relief to be out of the overweight bracket for bmi because I felt that was a threat to my health.
My diet is now largely WFPB which I feel is positive for my health.
Now I need to consistently get the exercise in as that’s the next threat to my health that I need to deal with. It’s all a work in progress! x

How do you make your beans. Not sure about canned beans but if you can make them. Soaking them first or overnight it's good. But I sprout them. So after soak rinse and let them sit. I rinse them twice a day and sometimes 1 day sometimes 2 or 3 days. Depends on the weather. If it's too hot the bugs hang around. Then put into a pot of water with kombu. As the water heats up skim the foam off. I hear changing the soaking water, kombu, and taking off the skim all help. Good luck
