the mahito train is not randomised. when pressing replay the game bugs and spawns the train enemies at the last place where they spawned (e.g if you press replay and you let them spawn at the 2nd lane the previous run you’ll get the 2nd lane in the replayed run whether or not it’s a fresh run.)That’s why after each run going back to the lobby is sadly mandatory if you want a decent score. However, with this tournament as a whole the only actual big rng part is the wave 5 boss being toji which in my opinion is much better than the killua stun rng required in tournament 1. This tournament is a step in a better direction.
I view tournaments as a sort of speedrun, speedrunners usually face a lot of rng in their runs but they keep trying and trying until they get the perfect one
Spent hours just to get "Perfect RNG" to top my traitles bracket multiple times only to be passed by 1 point by some random who hasn't even placed on the LB until then, i'm currently #1 and the tournament ends in around 9 hours I pray. 🙏
I think if rng didn't play a part and it was entirely skill based people would get mad for creating an entire strategy for a tournament just for a youtube to share the best way to play the tournament which would make everyone's score the same so I think its kinda a lose lose situation regarding traitless tournaments
You are severely mistaken about the last tournament not being as rng reliant. It took me 5 hours of restarting because killua didn't get the proper stun to get #1 by 1M damage. Just for me to go to sleep and see the dude got 3M above me and I ended on 3rd place. It drove me insane because of how many things could go wrong just at the start of the run

i've been doing this tourney for over 15 hours to keep my first place in traitless and just 2 hours ago i beat my PB because i got dagon at wave 35 instead of toji.
@peryfc im literally the guy at the top of the trait tournament lol, i had bad rng on that run, i could literally break 2600 rn. as for the traitless that literally had me crash out. attempting to freeze toji was so inconsistent so i couldn't get anywhere near first place
The mahito spawn waves are not random. (what your seeing is a bug) If you don't completely leave the match. For some reason, after hitting retry. They start off spawning where you left them in the last match. The only RNG that matters is the first boss. Since you can speed skip the first 10 waves, the lobster man takes longer to defeat. After that, everything is workable.
toji being first boss is not the only rng factor in this tournament around wave 35? basically about the last minute ish you want dagan boss so when you are trying to squeeze out the most amount of kills you dont get stunned constantly smile...
u can get 2300 with the worst rng btw but yeah the rng is dogshit. money rng, boss rng mahito enemies spawning at the back is a bug when u click retry, u gotta leave and join again

I’m level 53 having only bought 2 bp and 1 bundle and I’m the #2 on my traits disabled lb with 2289 kills, it’s definitely possible I suggest looking up a guide but it’s extremely hard to get a good run. I also had 20 seconds left with 2270 something kills but died to a finger bearer so I could’ve easily gotten 2300+ too
i got 1st in trait tournament with no monarch and i was so happy until it got stolen by ppl with full monarch team am 4th rn am so cooked 😔. Dont even wanna talk abt traitless its full of tryhards with godly stats while am rocking Z Z S on my tengen 😭
ima be real i love your videos but this is a skill issue you can get 2200 kills guaranteed close to or just 2300 every run you just need to learn the stats also train spawns aren't random they go as the waves pass

U need dagon on 3 more instants also so your wrong (example wave 18 and 35)
