Wow this is needed. I started virtual learning and I was not happy with the teaching methods it seemed so un-natural. So I started my own and I’m lost and had no clue what to do this video helped a lot. Thanks :)
Hi tabitha, I have a 5 year old that I have just started home schooling. How many hours do you put in with your 5 yr olds home schooling please ? I'm currently doing 2× 45mins lessons maths ans English then a 45 mins of science project but don't know if it's too much?.
You have to forget about grade levels. Think more in terms of skill level. We need to have a solid foundation in math. It is a program that builds on what the student has learned in the previous level. I highly recommend it!
That K5 art project book looks so fun!! I've never seen that one before. We've used the Abeka Art project book for 2 year old and 3 year olds--like you, I appreciate how easy it is, because I don't like to spend time prepping crafts!
Thank you for this video. We are currently using Abeka for K4 and my child is really loving it and learning a lot! BUT looking ahead for kindergarten, I just have a strong pull on my heart to "simplify" things... and to me Abeka sometimes feels overwhelming! But I really love it and want to stick with it since she is doing well. I would love to hear how it is going with your kindergartener and how you, as a seasoned homeschool mom, keep the child and yourself from not feeling overwhelmed and keeping kindergarten fun and enjoyable. Thank you.
I got that 20 easy lessons when my son was 3 and am so thankful for it now that he is ready to use it for kindergarten this year!!! He had a traumatic birth and has some special needs from being in the nicu so long but this book works so well for him and I tried the other books recomended by other ppl too they just didnt work for me ir my son. This one does!!!!
Very Child Freindly and fun for the age. Math u see is awesome. I did it as a kid and it’s awesome!!! Pre school books are awesome for kids to start reading themselves as well instead of them being read to.
Girl, you are pumping out the videos! I'm so impressed. I get a new video up like once every week or two lol. All of this looks super fun. My boys are ages 2 and 5 and we hace yet to buy a formal curriculum set. This year we will just be using different workbooks and games etc. Maybe next year I'll look into something like this for first grade. Thanks for sharing.
I almost got the abeka k5 set but it didn’t look worth the price, I went with the shell education 180 days in the subjects reading writing math science & geography for kindergarten workbooks & then spend the rest I would’ve spent on the abeka I’m putting towards a few book bundles for our home library & bob books, & we actually probably want to get that square panda also even though we already have osmo & planned on getting a large base tens kits also & I picked up that what your kindergartener needs to know book at the dollar tree a long time ago way before we were starting too lol & I plan on copying our work book sheets also to keep the workbooks & reuse for multiple children too how funny we also have some old pre-K & k scholastic & preschool prep books to use up
The workbooks remind me of ones my son liked doing when he was young...thinking waaaay back to my childhood, I remember enjoying workbooks like that as well. I Love the Art Projects book. Looks like Vinny will have a fun kindergarten.😉
I have felt overwhelmed trying to pick a curriculum for my kindergartener for next year and you totally sold me on everything you said and your resources! Thanks so much!
Hi dear haven’t been really watching your home school videos but I have been giving them all a thumbs up. Only reason I’m not watching is all my kids are grown up and all gone lol. But I know many moms are watching. But I’m sure they are all amazing great job. I have been telling my girls to watch so they can get good ideas. I’m not sure what they have decided with going back to school or what they all work full time as well I do so it’s up in the air. But Thanks for everything you guys (family) do.
Love it! So many fun options. 😊 Math U See has always been a win-win for us as well. Great little readers for his level! I hope you have the best year, Tabitha!

What is the difference between k4&k5 please? Is there lower levels too like k3 etc? First time homeschooler for kindergarten
These books look very similar to the ones they sell at Walmart. Are they basically the same?
Thanks

How long do you do school with your Kindergartener a day? We're starting K this year (oldest child).
The Lovely Littles it can take 30-45 minutes. Sometimes he wants to do more though!

Hope she has a wonderful year!
Abeka looks awesome!
The Abeca books are so cute!!!
How did you guys like abeka ???
We felt like it was way too much and we’ve since switched to mostly the good and the beautiful
I have felt overwhelmed trying to pick a curriculum for my kindergartener for next year and you totally sold me on everything you said and your resources! Thanks so much!
