Am I the only one who noticed the facial expression on Tony Elumelu's face when the report mispronounced his name?😂😂

Confidence and speculation has a minor effect on exchange rate over a short period, the reason for the fx instability is a lack FX supply which our oil export can currently barely support.

I totally agree..>At this point it is like a repeatition of words....But we have to remain optimistic. This man in particular gives me hope for Nigeria....Men like him should be continue to be supported especially in the area of the development of the private sector. Although we have heard this rhetoric before, I am still hopeful!

Until lack of basic infrastructure is addressed nothing will change... this current administration has yet to address basic infrastructure such as refurbishing the national power grid... No amount of "processes" will do anything without stable electricity... Ask yourself, what has Tinubu even started from his manifesto?????????????

How can that nigeria is not solving this. You have high inflation and high unemployment. This should be the simplist thing to solve. Get productive, lower inflation.

We've heard these before. We've heard it over and over. USD at N770 and N985 at the parallel/black market.
Confidence? Well, I honestly hope for the best, but we've heard all this before.
A thousand times we've heard great speech and English on what should be done. Political talks. Little result to show for it. Investors have great reason to be skeptical.

We love Nigeria. But those nigerian billionaires and political leaders are the biggest scammers maybe in the world. January 2024, Nigeria electricity capacity sat around 3600 MW for a population of 200+ millions, has a backlog of almost 1 billion USD for the airlines carriers operating in the country and Shell just announced a sell of their onshore business with 50% discount. The Ontario province in Canada has 18600 MW capacity for a population of almost 16 millions. And yet those folks are still trying to convince investors community to bring their money in this country.

Let bank sell Fx the normal rate. Foolish CBN law that make dollar hard to get.
