Terem Moffi, the boy from Diamond Stars grassroots club which trains at our office compound field, ie Cross River Basin Devt Authority , Calabar, Southern Nigeria. I submitted a proposal to the MANAGING Director last year for transforming it into a fenced mini stadium with six terrace concrete grandstands on either side of its perimeter, the re-grassing of the pitch as well.. Ghana's u23 ream and Zambia's trained there during the 2003 All African games. The pitch is now 45% bare with a ramshackle "vip" shack on just one side of the pitch with 3 laterite filled cement plastered terraces spanning 30 meters or so. Someone help me get some ppp investors to come and bid for the implementation of my dream please. The neighbourhood is breaming with talent whenever you see them play. Emem Edouk and Mfon Udoh, who did well in the Nigerian Premier league all started there. Big men use the place for monkey Post football. There s plenty of space to have those small pitches and squash game court, swimming pool, lawn tennis etc. All of which people would pay to use and grassroots clubs too.

Its weird how this is happening to a lot of countries at the minute, Nigeria have a thousand brilliant strikers, England have loads of great RBs, France are overstocked at CB, Brazil (as always) have a ton of excellent wingers and Italy could name a full 23 man squad of top class GKs. You cannot take improvement training away from football. No matter how good the strikers are there’s always possibilities to improve defensively and therefore will have the opportunity to improve defensively in the international stage by tracking and staying back, assuming deeper positioning for improved positional awareness which will not only increase the chances to win trophies but also cement the quality of the players individually. The lesser quality players should not relent but work closely to understand what the quality players are up to. That’s how a team should work.
I used chukwueze in FIFA 23 career mode and he is INSANE. Hope he becomes a real baller and Nigerian prince

Uruguay had a similar problem a few years back.
but for now Uruguay depth looks good, with Vina Araujo Olivera Bueno and senior defender like Coates Gimenez, great mid with Bentancur Fede Valverde Pellistri Ugarte Torreira and senior mid like Vecino Nahitan De Arrascatea, and great Forward like Nunez Maxi Gomez beside senior forward like Suarez and Cavani. sadly, Uruguay still need great GK to replace Muslera but I think Rochet didn't great enough to replace him
Nigeria is definitely one to watch. Their youngest striker just broke out of the U-23s and could be one for the future.
Your analysis is so flawless and apt.. Even the strikers are not scoring goals.I hope the technical advisors can listen to this and make the needed changes in the midfield.
Nigeria has always and I mean always produced deadly strikers.
In Other departments especially defence we have nothing.

I would ask every single forward to tell me their second favorite position and then focus on defence.

Retraining, into a hyper attacking team. Convert into a wingback system, have lots of runners and overlaps. Cement a mentality that required the players to get back and fill in their defensive responsibilities, wide inside forwards, and a poacher/target forward duo up front. For CMs, pick players with good hold up play and the ability to lay the ball off. For the backline.. not sure you can really do much, gotta dig from the existing talent pool. But these are supposed to be professional footballers and hopefully retainable
