I got an M Tech seat at IIT Ropar last year, i.e. 2018, but I rejected the offer. The permanent campus was not ready last year. I wished I joined this IIT after seeing this video. It's extremely new and the infrastructure is very modern as seen in this video. My decisions have always been wrong and I've always been unlucky.
@@ramakantyadav9693 it was a wrong decision because I joined IIT (BHU) Varanasi which I eventually left after a few months of classes as the specialisation I got was not among the ones I wanted. I got my desired specialisation at IIT Ropar which I rejected to pick up IIT Varanasi. This year I didn't even apply for IIT Ropar seeing it low NIRF ranking, put after seeing this video I feel so unhappy. All admissions are over now.

It's trap. It looks good but reality can hurt you. I have been in campus 2 years. Lots of dust particles due to ongoing construction. Campus is tree less. They don't intend to plant tree. Look IIT is top institution & planning should be great. It has been already passed 3-4 years of construction , they should plant tree roadside first to avoid clash in construction & make reliable living to students. You only see small & hybrid plants. Before campus this place was full of tree but they cut all the trees, no matter they are side of building or in place of building. I wasted one of year in NEILET Campus, very small limited place. We didn't get ground to play, we asked many times they denied every time by saying we are going to move soon. It was like open jail, no trees, no ground, nothing near the campus. We moved in main campus in hope for better. But result was wrost. If I say anything they respond like it's construction time. Campus was wrost than a normal university. Although academic was good.
