Timo is a genius, his coaches did all they could but they can't provide that much support as the Chinese coaches, but timo still find the right way to improve. Although young players might learn what timo learned much quicker, but they are more doing what they are told to do, yet timo figured all that out. I wish him a long and competitive career, make this game a better one.

They were used to be compared with. They are both left handed, using a closer to table style, nice service and recieve and all that, but look at now, Timo is on a different level. He knows how to control his tempo and move his feet, he became more relax and feasible on his moves, his service and receiving is better than anyother european player now, yet he improved his defence, the only thing I can think of that he lacked is the regular change of tempo that waldner had between shots.

If we could join Timo's consistency and solidness with Maze's serves and finishing blows; we would have one hell of a left handed player against the Chinese.

Wow neither player seemed to play well here, esp Maze, compared to when he qwon the Euro beating Timo twice he is very different. Boll is much more consistent and that is why he wins more.

maze´s left leg is to parallel, that causes a overall imbalance and loss speed in sideways movements to forehand.
racket movements are up good, but he Maze can more balance and speed in movements if legs would be stronger and if left leg would slighter behind.
please contact a better trainer Maze, you can find much better overall strength and balance.

Boll is a much higher level player all round. As good as Maze was in his peak.. he still wasn't a world class player that could regularly win loads of pro tours on the world stage...

Sory for my opinions but... It was whorse top 12 ever. Nobody at form. Boring matches. And how many times Maze beat boll? once? i think only once...
