    Mary is just so down to earth with great recipes,not too hard either and very well explained.Would love to have Christmas at her house,it would be terrific.

    I've recently just discovered Mary when I moved here to the UK and watching her felt relaxing and therapeutic. She's just chill and homely like my nanna and I can just feel carefree and worriless.

      Just made it. Utterly delicious. Didn't bother waiting for the fish to cool before adding the topping, and it made no difference.

    Beat the spare egg yolk into the sauce before adding the fish. This will prevent you from opening the fridge and saying "What am I going to do with that left-over egg yolk?", every day until you throw it out.

    Can anyone tell me why Mary uses hot milk? I always was thought to make a white sauce either by combining hot roux and cold milk or cold roux and hot milk but Mary here adds hot milk onto the hot roux (with the leek)

    I don't think it's right that Mary usually has to do the wash up when she already does all the cooking.
