There is a beautiful saying by Ibn Qayyim rahimullah - From the mercy of Allah عز و جل to His salves is that He may test him with a trial which he cannot explain, and won't find somone who understands him in detail so that his heart won't cling to anyone except Allah to complain his sorrow to. (الوابل الصيّب، ص ٣٥)
MashaAllah so true. The Quran whatever in it-the ibrah is so powerful. The true healing lies in it. What I learnt from learning about complex trauma, there are 5 parts to take care to heal 1. energy 2. emotional 3. physical 4. intelectual 5. spiritual- This is the utmost important aspect that helps to regulate oneself daily. No grounding, sunning, healthy food, boundaries, good routine is enough to help to get through a day without filling the spiritual cup. Found out it makes a lot of difference when one recite Quran with correct tajwid finishing every 10days in Ramadhan, a lots of dzikrullah, solah, dua. This is a struggle to keep up or to make it close like that outside Ramadhan though. I believe reading Quran a lot makes new emotions (e.g grateful, patience) and thoughts(busy with pleasing Allah and the reminders about Allah's help and mercy, ibrah etc) rather than living in past emotions and feelings subconcsiouly as these are the only things that can be bigger and overpower the old thoughts and emotions full of fear, hurt etc. As we are busy with this blessed purpose and goals and understanding the recitation of Quran it gives perspective and keeps reminding as its easy to get triggered and worst if you dont know what triggered you, unaware that you are disregulated, forget all steps to regulate, fell into distraction, depression mode, addiction etc unable to be present hence unable to function fully in daily tasks. for example if there is low energy, physically ill because illness like leaky gut, autoimmune that cause low energy, cant focus then this needs to treat as well so you are able to have energy and focus to do solah or recite Quran with focus. Just from a personal experience that is still on the journey of healing. May Allah grants shifaa to everyone who are afflicted. Please make du'a for me.
A spiritual healing is described here, you can take tablet n treatment for a bodily disease n you r gonna get well soon but it's only the body but soul is affected due to the illness when there is no spiritual healing then it's gonna waste....

Having a pure heart and soul will inshaAllah help you be stronger and more successful in dunya and akhirah even if you would have illnesses and worldly problems. Sis, that's what he pointed to. The therapy may be the way to the healing thru eg gaining insight into wrong thought patterns we got (eg maladaptive ways of dealing with emotions) etc etc - but the actual healing is ultimately from Allah عز و جل! ❤
