I’m pleased I found this very helpful review. Not only is it clear and concise, the delivery is professional- nothing to annoy… I’ve subscribed. Many thanks Robin.
Great review. At last, someone who speaks sense about not needing the BC on air rifles. For one, I'm not too tech-savvy, and secondly, I often use different pellets.
Nice job Robin. I’ll keep you updated over the weekend matey, as I’m out on my last session before my surgery 👍 George reports three boar and a sow with 6 piglets this week 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Hi Robin.Looks amazing. The colour and the clarity are the best I’ve seen on any digital scope review. If you’re going to the shooting show,I will say hello if I see you.Atvb👍🏻👍🏻
recommended this scope, rlf version, to two new NV mates. shame i don't have the coin. very impressive scope. i also notice, the need for powerful ir illuminators is gone as these units are very sensitive and too much ir will just wash picture out. good review Robin
Great video as always Robin, and full of useful information regarding both scopes. I cannot wait to get mine it's on order so not long now I hope. I've gone for the LRF model mainly for for rabbit shooting with my .22lr so the ballistic calculator should prove very useful. Looking forward to your video on the new stellar 👍
Great in depth review Robin. Interesting point about the illuminator, maybe that’s why it doesn’t come with one? The technology on these day/night scopes seems to be rapidly advancing. Looking forward to your hunting videos using it.😊
Does the Alpex 4K A50EL / A50E use it's internal battery as main power source? When I look at the battery icon on the screen, it looks like this only reads the charge of the internal battery, not the amount of charge that is in the 18650 battery right? When the interal battery of the Alpex is fully charged and I put in a charged 18650 does it drain both the internal batteries and the 18650 at the same time/rate or will it drain the internal battery first leaving me with no indicator on the status of the 18650 battery?
It’s not standard no. I actually got sent this one by a chap who 3D printed it. I’m sorry I couldn’t tell you who as it was a few years ago now. However if you google “Air Arms S510 cocking aid” you’ll find plenty of them.
Hello I have the 1st gen of these which came supplied with an IR torch. But im struggling with it. On adjustment I either get no illumination or it whites out. Can you help?
Depends which one you go for as some scopes come with one. That said most people find the supplied IR is often not up to the task. HIK no longer supply one with the Alpex for that reason. Moreover it keeps the cost down.
The image quality on the Alpex 4K is excellent upto about 9X at night, once you get to 14X it is garbage. I have this plus a 4k ATN and while the Aplex beats the ATN in all other aspects it is sadly very poor image quality at 14X and above almost to the point where I would say it is un usable as it just pixelates very badly.
Only if you have that feature activated, and inputted the required fields on the ballistic data. Otherwise it’s the same as any other scope, just better.
No. For many good reasons. 1) keeps cost down 2) people buy the scope For different applications. So, some Won’t require an IR. Some will rat shoot with it and some will fox at long range, which require different IR’s.

Thanks for the shout out Robin. Good video review 🔥
great review and an awesome looking scope, looking forward to getting mine through the door
Enjoy it! It’s great.

Indeed, it’s personally not for me. It I can see it’s appeal for some.

This is definitely the next an last hikmicro scope on my list.❤
Good choice!
How you gonna give this video a thumbs down? If ya don't like the scope, just don't buy it. But this was an all around excellent review!
Cheers muchly.
That's how you do a review!! 👍👍
Thanks! 👍
Great review mate
Next do a review on that awesome clock in the man cave 🤩👍
lol thanks mate tis a good clock that.
Hey Robin, does the top mounted IR interfere with using the menu button now?
My gen1 Alpex, the PBIr covers the top turret.
Makes my Pard 007 look like a Zx Spectrum (showing my age) 😂
Good review and fantastic footage
We had several spectrums growing up. My brother still has a limited edition 007 one with box. Probably worth a small fortune now.
Great review.
Thank you kindly.
hopfully im looking at one soon the lrf one its on the shoping list
Fantastic review Robin
Excellent review thank you 👍🏻

Hi great video
Ps
Where did you get the Rolex wall clock
👍👊
I bought it in Egypt, however have seen them advertised in stores on Facebook. They’re about £90/100 ish.
Hi Robin, Is the charging handle standard on your S510? I have the same extra FAC one also. Do you know where I can get one from?

Very impressive 👍👍
This looks so clear compared to my ATN4K. Would you recommend this over an ATN?
Josh
Hi Robin.very good informative video. Is there anyway that the reticle brightness can be adjusted please
Hi there. There isn’t no. But it’s great feedback. I’ll pass it on.
Very helpful thanks

Hi Robin. Is there a reticle on the scope with multiple aim points? For example 1/2 mil dot?
great scope
Hello, thank you for youre video, do u recommend this scope on a 30-06 or 300 mag mostly for wild boar hunting?
Ty!
It’s been recoil tested on .50 cal so a 30-06 should be no problem at all. I know a chap who’s just put one on a .300 win mag.
@@TeamFoxer thank you sir!
how many megapixel is the viewing scope with the eye?
meaning is it 4K, 2K or that dated 1K (1080p)? i don't care about 4K recording.
Do you have a link to a United States dealer where I can buy your exact setup? Rifle and scope? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi there, unfortunately I don’t no.
Surely if you googled each item and clicked shopping, that would show you where to get them from no?
@@TeamFoxer I had to do some searching but i found it. Thanks
@@Therealhomeinspectionauthority great stuff mate.
I have that scope, but the visibility on night is very poor, any tips for that?
Great video Robin, what ir illuminator do you use with the alpex
I use the Odepro KL52
Newbie question. Do you need to also buy an IR lamp to fit on scope for night time shooting?
Depends which one you go for as some scopes come with one. That said most people find the supplied IR is often not up to the task.
HIK no longer supply one with the Alpex for that reason. Moreover it keeps the cost down.
Does the aim point shift as you zoom in, or does it stay as you set it ?.
crosshair looks a little thick when on higher mag
Plenty to choose from in the menu. So something for everyone.

So this will change the zero wnen using the range finder ? ,sorry all new to these scopes

Hi there. The scope is £799

Do you know anyone in the US that sells this scope?? Thanks
If you check on the HIkMicro.com site, they should be able to show you you’re closest stockest.
Are these ffp ??
It’s a digital image, therefore the is no physical cross hair. There are reticles in the menu that stay the same size as you zoom though.
@TeamFoxer does the zero move though when changing mag like on over nv scopes...
@@2bobski no it remains the same. I’ve shot it tonight out to over 100 yards and it was band on. (Not on the air rifle obviously)
