This show has some of the best dialogue writing in any show I've ever seen. The author can make the most regular of conversations between the main characters thrilling. It's a must-watch, and highly underwatched because many people think enjoying it or liking the main female lead (the wolf) makes them a furry. One of my favorite stories ever, still hoping and coping for season 3.
Spice and Wolf, Monogatari (and Katanagatari) and Bunny Girl Senpai have the best dialogue. I literally could just listen to people talking in those shows for hours…
Spice & Wolf is incredible. It's mostly about travel, adventure, economics and love. It has a unique atmosphere I haven't encountered in any other story which, in the anime, is given by the OST and art. This story is adapted from a light novel, which is also one of the best of all time. I highly recommend this.
Fun fact: Ninomae Ina'nis from Hololive made a cover from the first song, and did all the illustration + animations from it! Its a beautiful song, if you want to check it out on stream or something I'd recommend it highly!
She's actually a wolf spirit that was no longer being worshiped by the village that she protected. The first ending is actually pretty funny once you know that she REALLY likes apples. This is an emotional anime, but it is surprisingly educational on economics.
@@raibyo My brother did too, but I was older than he was when I first watched it, and I had already taken an Economics course in high school by that point, so it was all basically review and common sense for me.
The Anime is basically about a middle aged merchant from the middle ages meeting Holo, a god of harvest who is no longer worshipped as people become more civilised. They travel around and slowly get closer on their journey to Holo's birthplace. The novel has 21 volumes (i think) and also got a seqel book. The anime is amazing on so many levels. It is romantic, educational, relaxing but also adventurous all at once. It is a must watch.
Spice & Wolf (currently) has 23 volumes (with the story originally ending at volume 17), and has a sequel wolf & parchment that is currently 6 volumes long. Volume 1 of wolf & parchment starts after vol 17 of spice & Wolf , after which the volumes alternate between the series's.
@@amphiapple7890 Well, considering the death rate in the middle age, you can call Lawrence and Old Man by that age. People got married and started families around 12-14, died around 40, were lucky to live up to 60. So yeah, he's a middle-aged.
@@neksuscat That's actually false, the mean rate for deaths is 40 only because most people often didn't make it past childhood when their immune system was weak, but if you lived to become an adult you were likely to live up to around 70 if you died of old age rather than accidents or murder.
One of the very few series where I literally stood and clapped at the end with tears in my eyes. It might not be a coincidence that it got recommended, the third season was announced last year so people hope that it releases on this year and some even say around July. Is a very well thought story, definitively recommended, not sure if it's a "reaction" material though. The source of the anime is the light novels, small books, there's a lot of material to animate and the story is beautiful as it is, they even have a very cool collectors edition of the novels with leather cover and everything. They are all available in english and are pretty affordable.
Did they confirm that it'll be a third season ? I thought we didn't know yet what kind of "project" it'll be, though a sequel or a reboot would be the obvious guesses. Would be amazing if we finally got a closure to the story, it's been way too long.
This anime is an ABSOLUTE CLASSIC. It's probably one of the best anime of the 2000s, sadly it seems like it's been kind of forgotten by the newer generation of anime fans, but it was huge in the anime community until like 10 years ago.
This anime intros pick your interest very easily because they present what you are familiar with, mixed with complete supernatural and cool concepts. Like, you just wanna know more! And the melody is like a slow mountain breeze, very powerful yet soothing.
This anime was amazing! Holo and Lawrence have such an amazing dynamic and are so well written. Unfortunately, they never finished it, so I just got the manga. And as someone who loves a heavy focus on economics in my media, this definitely became one of my favorite stories ever. A must watch/read.
Love that you reacted to these openings ,probably my favorite anime of all time.Spice in the title is supposed to represent our main character which is a merchant that sells spices and other things. And Wolf represents our second main character holo which is the incarnation of a wolf.Spice and Wolf has some of the best world building and characters I've ever seen. Also it was announced that it was getting a new anime sometime soon after more than 15 years since the original came out.
I love the dynamic of the two main characters in this show because he plays the role of ether husband or child depending on the interaction and she plays little sister/lover/wife/mother/grandmother all at the same time or individually based on the situation/conversation they're having.
The reason it's called "Spice and Wolf" is because he is a traveling merchant who trades in goods and spices, while she is a wolf spirit. Hololive's Ninomae Ina'nis has an AMAZING cover of the opening for this show where she drew and animated all the art in the MV herself, and it's absolutely STUNNING!
@@304nokia Well, technically yes, but why did they call the store that? I mean if the TMNT cartoon was about them running a pizza shop called TMNT, would that mean the show is named after the shop and not the fact that they are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?
Finally get to see you react to these! The show is an amazing drama piece and still holds up as an absolute classic even over a decade later! It's got a pretty unique atmosphere, sense of story telling and the characters are written wonderfully! Especially for those of a more mercantile spirit or enjoy the medieval theme setting. Really hard to think of any other anime that comes close to the kind of story Spice & Wolf tells, which is probably why it has something of a cult following to those who love the series! Also yes, Holo or Horo, the 'fox looking girl', is the 'Wolf'. They are both fluffy canines, and there are wolves with that fur coloration, so understandable confusion.
Monster opening is a classic that is very fitting for the anime, although it isn't anything crazy, I still like it a lot for whatever reason. Also this anime is a masterpiece for sure. It has the best written villain/antagonist in all of anime.
Monster is a true masterpiece, but the opening is kinda lame if you see it without context of the anime itself, and this channel is suposed to be a music reaction one. Maybe is the lack of lyrics, don't get me wrong, there´s a lot of legendary instrumental only openings like Cowboy Bebop or Trigun, but the Monster one for me is simply boring, but it's my opinion and you don't have to agree with it.
@@IronMarioTopVideos Well hmmm... For a person who didn't watch the anime the music itself isn't anything worth reacting I guess, but I realized it later and just kept my comment anyway, it's not like he's gonna react to it bc of one comment.
Spice and Wolf is in my top 3 anime of all time since I started watching anime 12 years ago, glad to see it here! Many comments have already explained some of what's going on and who Holo is, but I'll add some more context onto the series and why you may have started to see it recommended more recently. Spice and Wolf started as a Light Novel with 18 books and the first 2 seasons of the anime only covered the first 6 iirc. Season 2 aired 13 years ago and we haven't had anymore Spice and Wolf anime after that, but recently another anime project was announced for it!
Spice and Wolf is timeless classic. And since you reacted to this, you also should react on OP cover by Ninomae Ina'nis, because she not only sung it, but draw anime for it! You shouldn't miss it!
For some of us, Holo/Horo(the wolf girl) is our very first waifu and she will always be. The "Spice" actually means literally spices because the male protagonist is a traveling merchant.
Spice & Wolf is a very interesting series. It has a medieval setting, but the focus isn't on heroic knights or adventurers, but rather merchants! It's a story of economics and the life of the merchant class during this era, very unique. It's based on a novel, so the dialogue is excellent.
Really solid world building, very character focused and season 3 has *FINALLY* been announced so this would be a good time to start it Golden kamuy is also a great series with amazing openings and endings
"I've never seen anyone recommend this in my comment section". It appeared, you just didn't see it in the sea of messages (I myself recommended it twice if I remember correctly :d). This is definitly a classic in my book. This is just sooooo pleasant to watch, be it the story, the characters interactions, the world building. It stands in my favorites of all times.
It's one of the best animes (and book series) I have personally ever consumed. This show is the definition of less is more, it really does so much with so little. These two (main characters) have some of the best chemistry and banter and all the conversation between pretty much anyone are so engaging. It's also clever, thought provoking, anjoyable, warm and just the best!
Spice and wolf holds a special place in my heart as the show that got me 100% suspended into the world the fastest. Especially in the dub, within the 5 words spoken there was such a sense of magic established that I instantly knew I had to watch the entire show. I dare anyone to watch the first minute of spice and wolf and not want to watch all of it. To me it's tied for best start of an anime ever alongside elfen lied.
Without a doubt, this anime is among the best anime I've ever watched along with Mahoutsukai no Yome, the setting of this anime is very beautiful, if I were to choose an anime that I would like to be part of and live in it (if it were possible), I would live in these two worlds.
Following your recent Hololive reactions I can't help but share this little piece of information. Ninomae Ina'nis made a cover of the first opening song to Spice and Wolf.
This is definitely a very brilliant & unique anime. It's a high fantasy romance anime with elements of comedy and slice & life. It gets dark & emotional in later arcs and the most puzzling of all, it's actually a bit educational when it comes down to economics and trade. Would love to watch this once again after more than a decade if you ever decide to react to it. It's a show very close to my heart. Though not sure what others would think since it's not a show a lot of people have watched or are even aware of.
glad your intrigued. This anime was HUGE in it's day. It's very famous among us light novel readers, and I highly reccomend it. The ending song makes a bit more sense when you know Holo loves apples and is associated with harvest season btw lol
Oh boy. Now this anime adaptation, took a detailed look at the source material(the light novel) and adapted pretty damn well. This is how an adaptation must be done for me. It is a must watch for every anime fan.
It also helps that it has one of the best dubs. Honestly, after listening to both sub and dub, both were good. However, I think the dub actually had better vocal direction which is almost never the case. The english voices for Holo and Lawrence convey key aspects of their characters that would normally need exposition to show.
Spice and wolf is about a girl named Holo who is a wolf spirit and a guy named Kraft who is a merchant and they end up traveling together. It is a very well done anime and if you are fine with a slower paced show I would recommend watching it.
Such a damn good show, with great openings. Still in my top 10 Also, trust me, there's no "usual" for anime openings. You're just finally seeing the variety in openings behind the veil of only seeing the generic openings of current popular anime. Which is understandable, as they're popular, hence people push you to watch the openings for said shows. I'm honestly astonished that this even got recommended to you in such scale that you've now seen them If there's a genre you enjoy or want to hear, there will be openings for it. Heck, there's even an Opera singer opening (Tytania) Spice and Wolf has an extremely good world, with a fully detailed economic system. It's considered gold standard in world building, and is highlighted very briefly in a video called "The Art of World Building", by a channel called Mother's Basement, for this precise reason. It's one area that anime usually struggles in, but that shows such as Spice and Wolf, legend of the Galactic Heroes, Ascendance of a Bookworm, One Piece (to a pretty good extent but not in comparison) etc. achieve
Spice and Wolf is about the journey of the two main leads: Lawrence, a travelling merchant (who often deals in spices), and Holo, the Wise Wolf spirit/god. After hundreds of years, she is wanting to return to her home in the northern lands, and enlists Lawrence's help. Most of the trials the two face on their travels are based on the socio-political and economic situations they find themselves in. It is one of the best anime / LN I have seen in its genre-space. The political and economic intrigue is - compared to most anime - pretty intricate. The dialog and evolving relationship between the two leads is well executed. The characters are not just one-dimensional tropes. The first ED is supposed to sound a bit like a nursery rhyme, I think (like ring-around-the-rosies). At least, that is how I always interpreted the somewhat non-sensical lyrics.
OMG, this is one of my fav series of all time! The LN is so good too, I've devoured 18 volumes in a month or two, I was just glued to these book, so good!
She is Holo, the harvest god for a village. She only became its deity by fulfilling a promise many many years ago. But she became tied to the land and couldn't leave once that village could sustain itself. Enter Lawrence, who takes wheat from the village, letting her leave. She wants him to take her to her homeland and in return, she'd be his lucky charm and help him as a merchant. Once she consumes a small bit of the wheat she's tied to or fresh blood, she can change back into her giant wolf form. If the bag of wheat tied around her neck is destroyed, she'll disappear. She's a wolf... She has no need for clothes until she goes into public... The ending songs have art done by the novel artist. You're not seeing a younger them. You're seeing chibi drawings, which makes characters appear younger than they are.
Spice and wolf is one of my all time favorite anime. They made buying and selling stuff exciting. I came for the naked wolf lady but stayed for the amazing characters and story.
Spice and Wolf is an insanely underrated anime from what I see, because noone ever talks about it. But it's beautiful. The story is fantastic, the characters are lovely, the lore is cool and for a european medieval based anime it's really good. It's a bit like one of these german fairy tales. It gets dark at times. And bonus, the songs are bangers as well. If you ever feel like you need something closer to home, something relaxed, yet interesting and packing, it's this what you should come back to. There's action, but without epic battles and super powers. It's comparably realistic (compared to something like Attack on Titan).
Holo (or Horo) is a wolf spirit. She looks like a fox because she's a Honshu Wolf or Japanese Wolf. It's a (extinct now) species of wolf endemic to the islands of Honshū, Shikoku and Kyūshū. It had reddish fur.
By now ''Spice and Wolf'' is considered a classic, and i believe it is one of the smartest anime ever made. That does not mean it is exciting. You could enjoy it, appreciate it or even love it. But you could be bored. The only way to find out is to react to it. Also first opening is still in my head. I thought i wasn't attached to it but it made me nostalgic. I didn't remember ending at all. What a wild lyrics.
This anime is my absolute favorite. The world building, character development, and interactions between the two main characters are amazing. This is also one of those unique cases where both the sub and dub are amazing since the voice actors portrayed their characters so well. Edit: fixed autocorrect mistake
Recently the novels have been gettin the audio book treatment and the Eng va for Lawrence and holo(starting in vol 3) narrate it and it’s so nice to listen to them
I loved it, excellent reaction❗ Spice and Wolf is probably the first anime that I got hooked on because of its incredible plot. It gives off not only intrigue, but also enormous warmth in its narrative. Another series that I highly recommend for its excellent plot and that has some similarities with Spice and Wolf is ▪︎Gosick▪︎ one of those little-known series that I consider gems.
When I saw "Spice and Wolf" I already hit that like button... And when I heard your comments and theory I wanted to hit it a few more times^^ Spice and Wolf is one of my all time favourites because of its characters, the overall "tone" of the story and its setting, haven't seen a lot before and after that came close it Probably because the studio turned one LN into 6 instead of the usual 4 episodes, and when you have 50% more episodes per volume of the LN compared to other animes you can put a lot more dialogue and details into each single episode which really makes Spice and Wolf feel different to nearly every other anime that bombards the viewer with events and twists one after another
Spice and wolf was one of my favorite romance animes back in the day (it's a huge light novel of more than 18 tomes), the anime sadly only had 2 seasons back in the day as it was meant to purely be a light novel promotion, the dialogue is superb, luckily they announced they are doing a remake this year, I am so excited for it, It was the first anime I went out of my way to buy a light novel for.
Ah, this one is an old classic. Very wholesome story of an harvest deity who lost her place as humans don't need her anymore now that they master algriculture and a travelling merchant who accepts to bring her back to her bitrhplace in exchange of her, nicknamed "the wise", using her wits to help him making riches along the way. Also apples. The anime only got two seasons (but was ment to be a trilogy) then got two VR interactive "episodes". One of such episode actually happens after the end of their story. These songs probably got recommanded recently because a reboot was announced. ^^ 1st opening is a pretty good summary of the vibes from that show, very melancholic and slow, but still warm and cozy. 1st ending is basically the wolf having a silly dream about apples, that's why nothing makes sense. She REALLY likes her apples! xD 2nd opening and ending embrace the fact that at this point of the story it's not anymore about riches but the romance story between them. As mentionned before, the series have two VR "episodes" one of which introduce the spin-off/sequel series protaginist so they're kinda heavy spoiler territory. As for the meaning of "spice and wolf", spices are very expensive and represent the merchant, while wolf is straight-forward. Her design as a "fox" is a play on her personality and self-proclaimed nickname. But she truely is a wolf in fox's desguise but you can't mistake her for a fox once she takes her true form.
this anime is really cool. it's really one you should watch. the main story is simple but it gets really deep very fast and it stays there more or less the whole time. it's really emotional. it's simply wow.
This is a nice surprise! Spice and Wolf was my first anime so it's nice to see someone react to the OPs and EDs so many years later 😄 It's a really great show, and they announced some kind of new project last year I think, not sure if it's another season or what, but it's super exciting since it came out so long ago!
Seeing many people talking about how good the dialogs are in this anime, and I completely agree. So given that theme, I would like to recommend a bakemonogatari openings reaction (and all the other "monogatari" series of course)
It's a beautiful anime, recommended. It's not (for me) a top tier anime, but a very beautiful one. I enjoyed watching every episode. It's romantic, slow paced, full of feelings, smart, with smart dialogues.
I just recently watch this one and, MY GODNES, this made me cry so bad, haha the endings trying to change the mood of how the chapters end but also a little melancholy
Spice and Wolf is one of my favourite anime of all time (and I've watched over 1200 series start-to-finish, so that should say something). The premise is than the main character is a traveling merchant in medieval times, and happens upon a harvest festival on a small village. He returns to his cart after said festival, and finds a naked woman with Wolf Ears and Tail (She is a Red Wolf, and yes they often have white-tipped tails like that) sleeping amongst the furs in his cart. It turns out that the woman is the same Wolf Goddess of the Harvest that the village's festival was dedicated to. The Wolf Goddess (Named Holo) makes a deal with the traveling merchant, where she will assist him in all his endeavors on their travels in exchange for escorting her back to her birthplace in the far north. Spice and Wolf is written so damn well that it makes Medieval Urban Economics genuinely enthralling to watch. It actually managed to predict Cryptocurrency and explain how and why money can be made off of it (and how how easily one can lose money off of it), back in 2006 with the "Pyrite Duel" arc. Also, I don't know about anyone else who suggested it, but I personally recommended your reaction to Spice and Wolf because I wanted to see your confusion over the 1st ending. The 1st ending is very weird, especially if you listen to the full version... but it makes sense once you realize that all the lyrics are metaphors and symbolism telling a story through a fairytale-like lense.
I like spice and wolf It's very chill and emotional. Very nice classic. The mc girl is indeed a wolf but yes, so looks very much like a fox. She use to be a super popular character. I recommend reacting to Black butler (kuroshitsuji) openings and endings. There are 3 openings and 4 endings (two versions are for season 2)
I love this series, and I'm so glad I found it on my own because if someone told me what it was about I would have been like " that doesn't sound interesting" and do I not regret it. Spice and Wolf is such a hidden gem. It's simple really. It's about a traveling merchant who get a wolf deity as a companion. The reason she joins him is explained in the first episode and after that it's mostly about economics as they travel with a hint of romance. You wouldn't think something like that would be interesting but ✨️ANIME✨️ so it's actually an interesting watch, also op and ending are bangers. Love it.
Spice and Wolf is a unique anime that showed up 14 years ago and took everyone by surprise. One of the few Economy themed animes, great show, give it a chance, its short.
Ah, never in my life would I ever think I would be interested in an anime that centers around the ideas of commerce and economics... but I LOVED it through and through! Spice & Wolf is a fantastic watch!! And though yes, the main girl IS a wolf, even though her coloring makes her look more fox-like.
Despite being an old anime it's always highly praised as one of the best romance/economical anime ever made, and it deserves it's fame since relationship progression of the main characters is beautifully done, with both having interesting personalities and playing each other very well. As the name of the show suggest, it's about a merchant who finds himself with a giant wolf that can shapeshift into a human form sneaking into his cart asking that he gives her a ride home, and so it begins their travels through this medieval european-ish world I don't know if you would enjoy since it's a slow romance that revolves around trade and "economical drama", but it's a great show despite the old animation Also it will be releasing another season soon, but we still don't know if it will be a remake or continuation For the recommendation I would say for you to watch Bocchi the rock opening, and endings, it's a recent anime but is pretty much loved already
I love Spice and Wolf. It's such a great show. Not very action heavy but somehow I always felt engaged. The openings are phenomenal as well of course. Never before have I enjoyed any show so rooted in economics.
Spice and Wilf is one of my personal favorites. It is a really good character story. I once heard it described as " the best love story disguis3d as a show about medieval European economics you will even find" lol Definitely check out the openings for Baccano and Katanagatari as well
The story tells of a merchant who made a pact with a wolf god and has to sling the wolf girl to a better place. The theme of the anime is: money, trade, economy.
The guy is(Lorenz/Lawrence) is a merchant/peddler therefore he is the "spice" since spices were some of the best commodities a peddler could do trade on... super expensive yet super light to carry from town to town... The girl (Holo/Horo) is indeed the wolf...
My recommendations for openings and endings are Kuroko no Basuke, Yuukoku no Moriarty, and Fruits Basket. Also the openings for Akudama Drive, Gokushufudou, and Servamp.
This is indeed an old anime... the novels were around 18 volumes (dont exactly remember) but recently, around 2 or 3 years, the sequel novel came out. Wolf & Parchment, is around the 5th volume now...
SPICE & WLF is a wonderful, adult romance. Not adult as in ecchi, but a romance between two adults. People will mention that it is heavily into economics, but you can gloss over that if it doesn't interest you. It also has a great English dub (not something I say often about an anime) featuring Brina Palencia and J. Michael Tatum.
The story to this show from the Novels was never finished in the adaptation but there is going to be a new anime project coming soon after all these years that might be a remake.
So... a wolf... fox anime?? Looks pretty awesome!!

Ah that makes sense!!
Not quite true, because spice and wolf is actually the name of the store they opened together.
Maoyuu Maou no Yuusha is another that has a similar vibe to it....highly recommend it if you haven't checked it out.
@@bloodkytten1381 I have! it didn't leave much of a lasting impression though sadly. I'll have to watch it again though, I recall enjoying it still!
@@HateIsJustice Fair enough. It did certainly go into a different direction for how they told the story though the thrust of it was certainly similar.
Oh she is the wolf? I wasn't sure ❤️
Monster opening is a classic that is very fitting for the anime, although it isn't anything crazy, I still like it a lot for whatever reason. Also this anime is a masterpiece for sure. It has the best written villain/antagonist in all of anime.
Hello fellow Monster enthusiastic,
1st time I went through the opening and in the next episode I was like wait that was opening? It truly is classic.
@@cardinal01 I also wondered at first is this an opening or what? But yeah, it is, and it's very fitting for the series imo, I rarely skipped it.
I've heard the Monster opening is one I need to check out 💯
Spice and Wolf is in my top 3 anime of all time since I started watching anime 12 years ago, glad to see it here!
You shouldn't miss it!
one of the most emotional anime, forever in my heart
❤️
For some of us, Holo/Horo(the wolf girl) is our very first waifu and she will always be. The "Spice" actually means literally spices because the male protagonist is a traveling merchant.
Spice & Wolf is a very interesting series. It has a medieval setting, but the focus isn't on heroic knights or adventurers, but rather merchants! It's a story of economics and the life of the merchant class during this era, very unique. It's based on a novel, so the dialogue is excellent.
This show actually has a remake that's coming out next year which is awesome!
This one is a classic and really good. Even if it's your first time hearing the song you'll feel somewhat nostalgic.
I love Spice and Wolf
LMFAO... "with seven seeds to plan inside of me..." them lyrics are METAPHORICAL OFC, but hilarious that you mentioned it. XD
Really solid world building, very character focused and season 3 has *FINALLY* been announced so this would be a good time to start it
Golden kamuy is also a great series with amazing openings and endings
"I've never seen anyone recommend this in my comment section". It appeared, you just didn't see it in the sea of messages (I myself recommended it twice if I remember correctly :d).
This is definitly a classic in my book. This is just sooooo pleasant to watch, be it the story, the characters interactions, the world building. It stands in my favorites of all times.
Anime openings to react to recommendations:
Date A Live
Senki Zesshō Symphogear
Renkin 3-kyū Magical? Pokān
Still in my top 10
Also, trust me, there's no "usual" for anime openings. You're just finally seeing the variety in openings behind the veil of only seeing the generic openings of current popular anime. Which is understandable, as they're popular, hence people push you to watch the openings for said shows. I'm honestly astonished that this even got recommended to you in such scale that you've now seen them
If there's a genre you enjoy or want to hear, there will be openings for it. Heck, there's even an Opera singer opening (Tytania)
Spice and Wolf has an extremely good world, with a fully detailed economic system.
The 2nd opening still gives chills in my spine and tears in my eyes
And yeah the 1st ending still makes me cringe
Mr. Lawrence Teaches Economics is one of the modern classics of anime.
Spice and wolf is one of my all time favorite anime. They made buying and selling stuff exciting. I came for the naked wolf lady but stayed for the amazing characters and story.
I, too, enjoy the wonders of medieval microeconomics
You can also check out the opening and endings for Gosick(1 op, 2 eds). For me, both songs and the anime itself had a similar vibe to Spice and Wolf.
She loves 3 things, one of which she will never admit, and one of which does not love her back. She loves apples, beer, and Lawrence.
This anime is my absolute favorite. The world building, character development, and interactions between the two main characters are amazing. This is also one of those unique cases where both the sub and dub are amazing since the voice actors portrayed their characters so well.
Edit: fixed autocorrect mistake
Wow, this is unexpected for you to react. This is one of the best classic out there and a nostalgic opening sonngs for me. 🥰
Recently the novels have been gettin the audio book treatment and the Eng va for Lawrence and holo(starting in vol 3) narrate it and it’s so nice to listen to them
I loved it, excellent reaction❗
Spice and Wolf is probably the first anime that I got hooked on because of its incredible plot.
And when I heard your comments and theory I wanted to hit it a few more times^^
Spice and Wolf is one of my all time favourites because of its characters, the overall "tone" of the story and its setting, haven't seen a lot before and after that came close it
Probably because the studio turned one LN into 6 instead of the usual 4 episodes, and when you have 50% more episodes per volume of the LN compared to other animes you can put a lot more dialogue and details into each single episode which really makes Spice and Wolf feel different to nearly every other anime that bombards the viewer with events and twists one after another
Dude, one of my favorite anime and LN. I remember a decade ago reading the LN during summer, damn nostalgia hits hard.
1st opening is a pretty good summary of the vibes from that show, very melancholic and slow, but still warm and cozy.
1st ending is basically the wolf having a silly dream about apples, that's why nothing makes sense. She REALLY likes her apples! xD
2nd opening and ending embrace the fact that at this point of the story it's not anymore about riches but the romance story between them.
This anime was the first anime I watch (excluding some from TV), now just watching this again it just gives me way too much nostalgia.
this anime is really cool. it's really one you should watch. the main story is simple but it gets really deep very fast and it stays there more or less the whole time. it's really emotional. it's simply wow.
This is a nice surprise! Spice and Wolf was my first anime so it's nice to see someone react to the OPs and EDs so many years later 😄 It's a really great show, and they announced some kind of new project last year I think, not sure if it's another season or what, but it's super exciting since it came out so long ago!
Lets goooo! Man I love spice and wolf it’s such a good anime
Spice and wolf is very beautiful! You should chek it out. I'd also love you to react to Violet Evergarden, please ✨
The opening song of this anime is still my favorite anime song ever. That and the multitude of songs that were made specifically for Cowboy Bebop.
Oh this one was unexpected. Love the atmosphere of this anime and the music.
Spice and wolf just got a reboot and started last week into its simulcast ❤
This is one of those anime that is so old we all forget about it, but as soon as anyone brings it up we all remember just how much we love it.
100% recommend this anime. One of my absolute favorites.
I watched this anime a long time ago. I' ll have to watch it again. It really is a beautiful anime, I definitely recommend
Spice and wolf is LIFE🥲
Thank your reaction!
Spice and wolf is one of the greates anime I ever seen! It's defenatly a must-watch anime
Spice and Wolf is the best economics course you could watch!
This is one of my favorite shows, its quite unique and has one of the best dialogue between the characters
Ah, never in my life would I ever think I would be interested in an anime that centers around the ideas of commerce and economics... but I LOVED it through and through! Spice & Wolf is a fantastic watch!! And though yes, the main girl IS a wolf, even though her coloring makes her look more fox-like.
Definitively one of my favorite anime and Holo is so freaking charming.
spice and wolf is probably one of my top 5 anime i love
I remember Spice and Wolf, good times, although it would be cool to do the op/Ed for ID:Invaded
Despite being an old anime it's always highly praised as one of the best romance/economical anime ever made, and it deserves it's fame since relationship progression of the main characters is beautifully done, with both having interesting personalities and playing each other very well.
As the name of the show suggest, it's about a merchant who finds himself with a giant wolf that can shapeshift into a human form sneaking into his cart asking that he gives her a ride home, and so it begins their travels through this medieval european-ish world
I don't know if you would enjoy since it's a slow romance that revolves around trade and "economical drama", but it's a great show despite the old animation
Also it will be releasing another season soon, but we still don't know if it will be a remake or continuation
For the recommendation I would say for you to watch Bocchi the rock opening, and endings, it's a recent anime but is pretty much loved already
I once heard it described as " the best love story disguis3d as a show about medieval European economics you will even find" lol
Definitely check out the openings for Baccano and Katanagatari as well
The story tells of a merchant who made a pact with a wolf god and has to sling the wolf girl to a better place.
The theme of the anime is: money, trade, economy.
14 years ago.... god dammit I watched this show when it aired. Didn't realized how many time have passed.
This is a VERY old anime. It is a classic, and I love it SO MUCH!
The guy is(Lorenz/Lawrence) is a merchant/peddler therefore he is the "spice" since spices were some of the best commodities a peddler could do trade on... super expensive yet super light to carry from town to town...
The girl (Holo/Horo) is indeed the wolf...
狼と香辛料と香辛料のリメイクが今年始まったけど旧作のOP/EDも良いよなあ✨どっちも好き♪
My recommendations for openings and endings are Kuroko no Basuke, Yuukoku no Moriarty, and Fruits Basket. Also the openings for Akudama Drive, Gokushufudou, and Servamp.
What this anime seems to be about: A cheeky anime about a wolf girl
what it actually is about: COMMERCE
💰🪙💵🏺🤝👛
This is indeed an old anime... the novels were around 18 volumes (dont exactly remember) but recently, around 2 or 3 years, the sequel novel came out. Wolf & Parchment, is around the 5th volume now...
SPICE & WLF is a wonderful, adult romance. Not adult as in ecchi, but a romance between two adults. People will mention that it is heavily into economics, but you can gloss over that if it doesn't interest you. It also has a great English dub (not something I say often about an anime) featuring Brina Palencia and J. Michael Tatum.
i see the anime couple years ago but it feel so nostalgic
Spice and wolf is by far one of my favorite animes. Easily top 5
Spice and wolf?! Unexpected but goated. It's getting a new anime, currently under production
The story to this show from the Novels was never finished in the adaptation but there is going to be a new anime project coming soon after all these years that might be a remake.
