Suggestion? For the cabinet where you had to cut out for the pipes, I would make a panel to put inside the cabinet to hide them. You lose a little depth in the cabinet, but you also don't have to worry about anything getting pushed into the hole and dropping behind.
Love this book! ruclips.net/user/postUgkxpCNxqmAkyjN6NPx1fyB7QiEFWyO5mUWL it is simply one-of-a-kind! I really love it, because karah explained all tools required to have the job done, not mentioning the fabulous diy pallets ideas. I'm pretty sure this will be a fresh start in my new endeavour. Amazon was great, they delivered on time. Thank you!
That came out looking really well Keith, I'm glad you enjoyed the process too ! I thought you were mad when you started cutting so much away of the corner cabinet, but you achieved it very neatly and it didn't appear to impact on it's structural integrity, so a worthwhile result ! You strike just the right balance in giving information about your thought processes and the editing for the actual process, such as handle placement, all good stuff, thanks !
love that you take the time to do all those little touches that take the project from utilitarian to more custom! i do think a back panel on that corner cabinet is in order though. the little screws as feet trick is genius
Tip with the cupboard legs. They should be supporting the side panels as they bear the weight of the surfaces and everything that may be on the surface. That's why they have a tab on them. That part overlaps the sides downwards force
So glad you were given adequate supervision through the entirety of this build, so often the foreman/boss are only there to moan/whine when you haven't done something right or given them any treats , good to see mike runs a tight ship lol .
Beautiful work, Keith! Really well done! 😃 The only idea I had that I didn't see others mentioning would be a counter top over the 2 cabinets and the washer machine. Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Great progress, Keith, looking forward to the bench top episode now. Love the tip of putting a couple of screws in the bottom of the kick boards to help prevent moisture damage.... and Mickie is fast becoming the foreman....🐈⬛
It's looking so good. And Mickey seems to be enjoying it too! Love how cats will sit around all day watching others work but won't lift a paw to help. Lazy brats.
Would suggest putting some foam packing material around the washing machine to squeeze it tight against the cabinets. It will drastically reduce noise and vibration.
Yep ! Welcome to the cabinet workers world. Everything seems fine on drawings but once you there you got to make everything fit to the level and cut everywhere to makes it happen.
It's really coming together, Keith. The cabinets look nice and the design of the room is outstanding. I am enjoying the journey and I'm looking forward to the back splash, the counter top and the new floor. Thanks for sharing this video with us.
Hi Keith nice job, one thing that concerned me was the positioning of the cable for the wall sockets. I've always been told that electrical cables should always be vertical if hidden behind plaster never horizontal or at any angle.
I really like how you sortof “no big deal” cutting up the carcass you just made. I mean it wouldn’t have fit if you didn’t but I sometimes get arrached to a build..,
Lovely job Keith. Tricky as I can appreciate you’re trying to maximise space, but I tend to create a void ache back of any kitchen cabinets (like the big suppliers) to allow for pipes etc. Makes fixing to the wall easier too, though largely I’ve moved over to Spaceplugs now.
Glad to see the cat was there to keep a eye on you,its all coming along nicely, on a recent vid you did about your axminster saw you said your fence was pulling out to the right when applying the fence clamp , you said you added a smmall shim but did you remove the nylon strip or did you keep it on as well?
Really enjoyed the solutions to the pipe problems & better you nicked that compass from from school 😅. Just a query on the clearance on the microwave oven compartment as it doesn't look integrated, I've just got new microwave oven that stated 30cm clearance on from the top.
I still say you should have made these units out of MFC white is the cheapest and edge them no painting? and your end panels we always make them 22mm bigger so you can adjust your doors and l agree about putting a panel at the back of the units so you don’t see all of the pipes if you screw it then you can get at when ever l always use French cleats we make are own on the spindle great job see you soon 👍

Might have been easier to either build the cabinets with the back panel rebated into the carcass like they usually are and/or you could have used some of those Space-Plug's
Looking good kieth your like me i like things morroring each other. Also good to see yhe foreman is alwsys yhere checkijh everything is going to plan btw hes also figuring oht if he can get under or behind them. 🏴😀👍
Keith makes it look to easy , thanks mate now wife’s will demand this level of DIY from all husbands. Question if floor isn’t level does the laser still maintain accuracy? Ps mickey approved work 😂

I was thinking that too
Me as well. Had to do something similar I'm my own kitchen,
same! you'll loose small things in the gaps
This is why normal kitchen cabinets come with a service gap at the rear.

Your kitty makes an astute apprentice. He sure does like being near you!
We have a cat that looks like Mickey and takes his supervisory duties seriously just like your lovely Mick. What a nice upgrade you are doing here.
And the star of today's show? Well done, Mickie, well done! And Dad! 😉👏
Great to see Mickie helping with this project!! Looking forward to the third part!
He looks a cheeky scamp.
Cool cat, Mickey right. He is the Boss on your job sight
Neat trick putting the screw in the toekick panel! Thx for that and the glimpses into Mickies workday 👍
Mickey is becoming a RUclips star. Love it.

Very nice… your wife is a lucky lady to have a craftsman like you.

Nice job Keith, I like the tip about raising the plinth slightly with screws; never seen that one before
Beautiful work, Keith! Really well done! 😃
The only idea I had that I didn't see others mentioning would be a counter top over the 2 cabinets and the washer machine.
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
He mentions at the end the countertop will be part of the next installment.
You should be rightly proud of that Keith.
Great progress, Keith, looking forward to the bench top episode now. Love the tip of putting a couple of screws in the bottom of the kick boards to help prevent moisture damage.... and Mickie is fast becoming the foreman....🐈⬛
nice to see you being supervised during the process 😂 Really tidy job cutting around all those pipes!
I love french cleats!!
Very handy!
Got materials for my bin cupboard project!!
Start it next tuesday!!
Problem solving as you go and getting a result you like, always makes for an enjoyable project. Everyday is a school day ☺️
It's looking so good. And Mickey seems to be enjoying it too! Love how cats will sit around all day watching others work but won't lift a paw to help. Lazy brats.
Really enjoyed that video Keith! That laser level is a real life saver!
Great job, nice to see that your been supervised in the correct manner
Lovely job Keith! After making and fitting kitchens for clients, I always give them a chopping board, finished with the KB food safe oil-wax 😉
From visual choas to a soothing vista - gonna be great whan its finished!
Nice work on the kitchen Keith! Thanks for sharing the video with us!👍💖😎JP
The cabinets looks great! The space looks so much better already
Would suggest putting some foam packing material around the washing machine to squeeze it tight against the cabinets. It will drastically reduce noise and vibration.

Looking good Keith. Pipes are always an eyesore and awkward to get round but you tackled it well mate 👍🏽 😉 👏
I see your four legged supervisor🐱 is as helpful as my four legged supervisor 🐶.
Excellent job, looks fantastic. Mickey is s lovely cat too, really friendly. Cheers.
That's really a cat's job !
I really don't want to be depreciative ;)
Looking good! And it must have been useful to have the project manager overseeing everything. Your videos are always interesting; thank you.
It's really coming together, Keith. The cabinets look nice and the design of the room is outstanding. I am enjoying the journey and I'm looking forward to the back splash, the counter top and the new floor. Thanks for sharing this video with us.
Cat is the boss like always
It's going Great. Love the tip about the screws on the soffet to keep clear of the wet floor. That is one laid back cat. 🐱
Precise work! Want to see it finished now!
That looks really, really good and expertly fitted.
Well done Kieth! Top Job!
😃 Nice job Keith. Looking forward to the worktop video 😃👍
Hi Keith nice job, one thing that concerned me was the positioning of the cable for the wall sockets. I've always been told that electrical cables should always be vertical if hidden behind plaster never horizontal or at any angle.
Looks great and is a utility room I would be proud to call ‘mine’!
Love the scribing! Excellent work, Keith!
Brilliant, looks great. Love the look of the cabinets too, nice colours 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Looks fantastic!!
Great video Keith👍Can't beat the satisfaction you get from making, and fitting your own furniture👌Cheers 🇬🇧 🇬🇧
I really like how you sortof “no big deal” cutting up the carcass you just made. I mean it wouldn’t have fit if you didn’t but I sometimes get arrached to a build..,
cat is always inspecting your work lol
Bless Mickey for helping you. My cat is the same
Top work, not many people have a turd flume inside their kitchen cabinets 😂
If you're going to be doing any more cabinet handles like that, hafele do an adjustable jig for it. Only a few quid but mega useful
Looking really good so far, Keith. Can't wait to see the finished article.
Lovely job. Looking forward to the next video, stay safe x
Great job Keith.
Looks great

Hi Keith, that's looking good. Keep up the good work, can't wait for the next video.
I’m sure you realised but the end panels need to be 22mm overhang to sit nicely with these hinges
22 metres?????!!!!!! 😲🤣
I've a project along those lines in the works. It has its own challenges but nothing like your problematic pipework.
Makes me want to get a multi tool again, looks awfully useful. Also loved getting a glimpse of a cat bed you made years ago.
Great job! But why do you have a microwave in the laundry? To dry socks perhaps?
Well done 👍👌.. Lovely cat 😻🐱
Nice job Keith!
Glad to see the cat was there to keep a eye on you,its all coming along nicely, on a recent vid you did about your axminster saw you said your fence was pulling out to the right when applying the fence clamp , you said you added a smmall shim but did you remove the nylon strip or did you keep it on as well?
Looks awesome Keith 👌
Really enjoyed the solutions to the pipe problems & better you nicked that compass from from school 😅. Just a query on the clearance on the microwave oven compartment as it doesn't look integrated, I've just got new microwave oven that stated 30cm clearance on from the top.
Love the catprentice.

Looks great Keith!
Great stuff!!
Tom Silva's compass at 5.43
Another great project!
How did you manage to resist pulling all those pipes out and replacing them so they take up less space?
Sorry Keith, those are nice cabinets, but Mickey was star of this video 😅 🐈⬛🐾
Might have been easier to either build the cabinets with the back panel rebated into the carcass like they usually are and/or you could have used some of those Space-Plug's
I think you should have customised that one carcass to fit the pipes, rather than chopping it about afterwards?
just luv that cat !!!
instead of painting the bottom of the toe kick board spread some silicon on the edge and let it dry before installing ant this will stop water damage
NOOICE!
Looking good kieth your like me i like things morroring each other. Also good to see yhe foreman is alwsys yhere checkijh everything is going to plan btw hes also figuring oht if he can get under or behind them. 🏴😀👍
I see your cat was giving close inspection of your working habits. Maybe he learned a few tricks for getting into back of your other cabinet!!
Mickey: I helped.
Keith: Um… not exactly
Infill pieces could be screwed right beside where hinges is going in
Keith makes it look to easy , thanks mate now wife’s will demand this level of DIY from all husbands. Question if floor isn’t level does the laser still maintain accuracy? Ps mickey approved work 😂
Kitchen cabinets have service voids for this very reason. I’m sure many people will point this out!
Love it
Love your channel....
👍👍👍Thanks.
are you gonna tile around the cabinets? wouldn't you normally tile the floor first ?
ruclips.net/video/b9A1qB9LMLA/видео.html
that cat!😸😹😸😹
Err... Usually a big fan, but I just don't think the new cabinets and layout look any better than the old stuff.
Should have measured first and made a shallower cabinet.
Tweet tweet tweet 😂😂😂😂
That hairy young apprentice is really paying attention. A promising sign
It's great taking in tips, just watching build/install processes like this one. Everyone should have a cat apprentice as well, lol.
