I prefer to play this deck with fandral cards, violet teacher, and 6 c'thun buffers. Either you win from fandral synergy creating an awesome turn, or you win by drawing c'thun.
DAY J NOOOOOOOOOOOO 26:34 misplay. Swipe the barnes, then hit sylvanas into rag. Becomes 50/50 to get rag, and even if you don't grab him you take the only other minion he had. Hero power was like totally useless. :(
Doesn't change the outcome. Even if he did that the board would look the same as it did when he conceded. He loses to hero power from hunter. He could have conceded doing nothing, he was just messing around before he took the loss. He needed to not get hit in the face twice by Rag
Actually Illidan took the power to save his people much like Arthas took up Frostmourn. He never wanted to be the villain and in fact Malfurion was always kind of a dick towards Illidan and never gave him the chance to prove himself even though he was only trying to help.
The main reason why he took the skull was because without it he wouldn't have been able to destroy the burning legions main gateway to Hyjal and kill Tichondrias.
if Thrall and Grom can kill Mannoroth there was going to be other ways to kill Tychondrius. His Sin if impatience and power hunger, becoming a literal demon was not the only option.
Illidan's sin is hunger for power and the need to always be the best. During the Well of Eternity trilogy, when Malfurion becomes the first druid and starts being respected, Illidan's envy of his brother pushes him to learn demonic magic in order to prove he is stronger. During the story, he does many dubious things and in the end endangers the entire night elven race. Malfurion always tried to understand Illidan and help him, but his actions made it impossible for Malfurion to trust him anymore. Still, Malfurion never fully accepted the evil he was forced to inflict upon his brother and later on admited he shouldn't have kept Illidan imprisioned for that long, but did so only because he couldn't accept the idea of executing him. Saying Malfurion is a dick is a very disonest way to describe the character.
So ive been away for day9 for a few months and just learned that he no longer works at artillery, can anyone point me to a video of him explaininng why. also if hes not busy working does anyone know why he hasnt he gone back to starcraft vids?
I love Day9, and all the content he does and everything, EXCEPT THAT DRUMMING. It was just way too much this video and I usually look past it in all other occurrences but it was just particularly annoying this video...

I didn't watch the entire video yet but I think the deck definetly needs 2 Mire Keepers and a Mulch to finish off. 1 Nourish seems fine.
Hey Day9! Why do you never use golden cards?

well, it didn't take a lot of convincing to take the skull of guldan. So there is some power hunger problems there.
Malfurion just didn't want the competition. It was the classic "Imprison your brother for 10,000 years so he can't steal your girlfriend" move.

2 off lethal actually, I believe. 23-10(2x +1swipes) -9(on board) -2(disciple) leaves him at two, no mana to hero power. Sorry if I'm wrong.
