Thank you for sharing this with us. This looks like a great quick way to make a fun quilt. Im a newer quilter, so i am always looking for fun ideas. You explain very well. ❤😊
Lovely color combo there!! I made a lot of 9 patch baby quilts with 4 grand babies born in 2019-2020. This is so much more colorful and busy. Luv it!!! I have one, more grand baby due this Oct and a neighbor due in Sept. Better get busy. Thx for the inspiration. 💕
Hi there. I’m so glad that you popped up on my screen. Just loved your demonstration og the “nine patch”. It really looks super. Thanks for all your tips and tricks 🌻
I really enjoyed your tutorial, especially seeing what a double disappearing nine patch looks like. Before the end of your video, my mind was already going through my fabric inventory to come up with color combinations for this project. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for watching. There are so many options with this pattern. I can't wait to see what you came up with. Be sure to post them on our Facebook page.
Well done! I'm making a disappearing nine patch with my 9 year old grand daughter this week. A challenge to start as it was the almost blind leading the blind. Ours will be very colourful. Your video has helped me in not being "almost blind" anymore.
What a great use of 2 sections of colours with the double disappearing 9 patch. Another quilt for my scraps. My scrap bag is getting a bit smaller. Thanks.
Love the disappearing method! So much fun. Be sure to check out our facebook page (Crazy Dave's Crew - facebook.com/CrazyDaves1Crew/) and group (Sewing and Crocheting for Beginners - bit.ly/2GBVC8J). Would love to see pictures!
What a fun variation on the disappearing nine patch! I think that would be fun for a stashbuster! Also, has anyone else noticed that the sunflower final look is exactly the same as a disappearing 4 patch? I mean, if you think about it, it's just order of operations, but that kind of blew my mind. (Major math nerd, which is what draws me to quilting). Anyway, thanks so much for sharing your video!!!!
Might just have to do that this year. Decided that 2019 was the year to find homes for all my "orphan blocks" and to finish all those Unfinished Projects.
That depends on how much or how little over hang you want. Measure from where you want the quilt to start to where you want it to end. Divide that number by the size of the finished block and you will have your number
Lovely idea! Maybe you could do a disappearing 16 patch one time. On the 9 patch , could you cut the center group of fabrics into rectangles (rather than squares so that they would be shorter in height but the same width? How would that affect the look of the patches after cutting them in quarters and rearranging??
Thank you so much. So glad you find them helpful. "Walking" really does help with the accuracy of the cut. You have a little more control; more control means more safety.
Depending on your beginning squares, it can be about whatever size you want! I started out with 5.5" squares. Final unfinished block measured 15" Thanks so much for watching
Love the Green and Sunflowers.

How many of these blocks would it take to make a twin size quilt?
That depends on how much or how little over hang you want. Measure from where you want the quilt to start to where you want it to end. Divide that number by the size of the finished block and you will have your number
I liked your hidden nine patch. I am going to try one this week!
