I bought my Exmark Lazer Z, 60 inch with 28hp Kawasaki, in 2008 for 8,000 brand new. That same mower now is almost 19k... just ridiculous

Common issue on the Lazer Z with that muffler. I had to replace mine a couple of years back. Replaced both heads myself in about 3 hours. If you have any sort of mechanical inclination, it’s not a hard fix. More time consuming than anything

Had the same head issue with my Lazer Z. The dealer replaced the head and put the flex muffler on. Less than a year and the exhaust flex joint fails.

That plate is steel not aluminum and they should have never bolted back to the head it's going to happen again. I moved the brack on the other side of the mount and welded a bar to the bracket and bolted it to chassis. The head replacement wasn't bad

I had something simular to that with my Gravely but it will be ok!but for 1400 you might could buy a new engine!

We priced a new engine but it was high. The head was $700 and the flex exhaust was $700 but that will last a long time now.

Was wondering do y'all try making all of your own repairs when they aren't too complicated? Also hoping all your equipment is on tip top shape before the season kicks into full swing. And thanks again for giving your viewers a chance to win some very nice prizes... my cooler, hats, and stickers arrived yesterday and they are pretty dang sweet prizes!!!

The heat is transfering from the muffler to the head and over heating the head causing to crack

How can a person buy something new ride it from day one and not know when something does not sound right. Vibration makes things come loose and loose stuff eventually breaks. I payed the same price for my exmark and if i hear a strange noise i find the problem immediately and correct it. On the other hand the help a man gets to mow does not give a crap about the piece of equipment they are on because it does not belong to them. That is why no one but me rides or repairs any mowers i have but me.
