My Infernum Devourer experience was to wear bloodflare armor, choose really tanky accessories with a couple damaging, all reforged to menacing. Use Elysian Aegis unless you want to go through medieval torture. Took about 14-17 attempts.
Personal story with (Master) Infernum DoG: I had died 125 times from him at that point. It was like 01:00 A.m., I needed to go to the university that day. I said "OK, last 3 tries, if I fail - I call it a night". Guess what? I got him on the third try. And then my brain decided it was a great idea to farm the ASE and items for archer for the next 2 hours. I guess I skipped some lessons, yet it was completely worth it Addendum: Try crafting the Sponge (post DoG item), it just gives so much sustain. In fact, it may be even better in Infernum than Draedon's Heart.
Ayo adrian, just to make things a bit easier for you there's a mod called "summoner UI" that just shows you how many minion/sentry slots you have available above your mini map.

A strat I have not seen at all on yt for infernum dog that helped me beat it…really only works with summoner+stellar torus staff because of the high damage: When it spawns in, stay still until you can dash through it and immediately fall towards the head, this should get it in a circle loop, the torus staff will obliterate first phase with this The main second phase is the same premise, but setting it up is hard, once it goes into the portal for phase two, go to either side equal with center of portal, and when it comes out you’ll be pushed away, immediately slow down, fly up, and once the dog dashes towards you, dash into it and up with its head, and it should also circle loop And rince and repeat till last phase where you’ll want to dash towards where that big laser is pointing to give enough time to react to the lasers… this is how I beat infernum dog
You guys can cheese scal by having one of you in the box and the other with aggro going outside the box by placing platforms on the same blocks as the arena to escape the arena.
Completely agree. I loved every boss in infernum. But DOG? I actually skipped him because I did not see myself winning and it wasn't fun. I even came back with endgame gear and still couldn't beat him.
Just beat Exo mechs, Im doing mage + summoner, I just cant get the summoner drop, I think I need to kill ares last. (Lil tip: if you need to kill ares last for summoner stuff, do thanatos first, ares second, since itll leave ares for the end
someone should make a mod where it is just phsycadelics that get progressively worse but give better and better benefits like eventually there are like 3 extra (invincible but cant do damage clones) and you are seeing 8 but you do 1000% more damage
When i did my first infernum run the dog took several days of just attempting to kill it. I only won because i found a way to make him circle/coil around you and used a really strong melee weapon. Also lemme just say…this is NOT the hardest part.
So, this will obviously be hindsight, but I really wish you knew better summoner setup ^^; Like idk what you read to get you to swap back to Stadust for this... but that was a huge mistake. And using the Stellar Torus Staff is also a mistake. Yes, it has high damage number, but it's in bursts every few seconds and doesn't work well on fast moving targets that can also teleport. It seems there's some new stuff since I last played Calamity, and idk what all gets changed with Infernum because I've only played it once like last year... But using Snake Eyes would have been better for multiple reasons, main of which... You keep yelling about not being able to see what you need to dodge. Smaller minions that do proper work can really help that. Not these larger minions that do this big beam attack that you can't see through. Would have also recommended the Polterghast summon weapon, but y'all were getting rocked by Polter as well lol. Watching this also made me really hopeful you'd make the Pole Warper after beating DoG, but... I doubt I'd get lucky enough to see ya use it.
The DoG fight is kinda like a dance. You go from parrying his dashes to dodging laser and that happens back and forth. One misstep and the dance is ruined. Also 148 isnt a multiple of 75 wtf
Im so damn sorry for what i am about to say but man why u using some PRE POLTERGHAIST GEAR??? like why man why idk if it is my OCD or sht but u can make things 10 times easyer with good gear but mad resspect for pulling with off with that gear

Go in one direction and just dash right before he noms you (of course need a shield that lets you dash through an enemy)
Make sure you grind out “The Community” it’s good access and can be upgraded after Supreme calamitas
