It's not the draft, it's the people who make the decisions and the coaching staff. How many 1st or 2nd picks have the Texans wasted through the years? Take a min to go look and you'll see what I'm saying. We used to have a coach who only liked to run 98% of the time 😞

Demeco Ryans has been a blessing as well. Such a well coached team, the Texans in one offseason got OROTY, COTY, and a candidate for DROTY. Fantastic turnaround for the team.

CJ Stroud is going to be one hell of an NFL QB. Exciting future for the Texans. Colts have nothing to be ashamed of, to get this close to playoffs with a backup QB, very impressive. Both teams have great rookie coaches.

As a Texans fan I just wanna take a sec to congratulate the Colts as well for a heck of a season. Y’all played your butts off at the mid-end of the season with who was supposed to be your backup QB, and managed to push your way into the limelight despite not getting much recognition. Y’all deserve so much recognition, here’s to more battles like this in the future - AFC South is loaded

Maybe, but the colts lost 3 of their last 5 games. What does that really tell you? They were fortunate in games that were close, like Baltimore, and got blown out by Bengals and falcons. Didn't deserve any real attention.
C.J. Stroud won this game for the Texans with his poise in the pocket throwing the ball, and Nico Collins has been having a stellar season. DeMeco Ryans is my coach of the year with the way he’s guided this team to the playoffs

We have to admit, when AR went down, we were not expecting Gardner Minshew to lead the Colts this far. I certainly was not. For Minshew to put the team on his back Week after Week and bring them to a win and in situation is amazing itself, not to mention the Colts were just a yard away from getting close to a TD at the end. As a Ravens Fan, much respect to the Colts who fought all the way till the very end.

As a houstonian and Texans fan, the energy and excitement CJ Stroud and DeMeco Ryans has brought to our city and team is just amazing and the fact that a first time head coach and rookie quarterback has made the play offs is simply amazing!

This team is special. Both teams are good and should be proud of a good season. Colts and Texans have a young core with bright futures with potential to become a super bowl contender for years to come. Great win by the Texans and CJ Stroud has been unbelievably good as a rookie.
Yep. Special teams are made up of special players and sometimes coaches.
Stroud and Nico Collins are those guys. We all know Stroud is the man but Nico is also that dude.
A really special head coach in Demeco that perfectly connects with a young team in a unique way because he himself is so young AND accomplished and is thus able to get more from players than other coaches could.
It's been fun watching the journey. I have a feeling we are watching the start of something great.

Hope Minshew gets a starting job next year someplace. That guy just continues to shine. He was on the run from a collapsing pocket all year and still managed a great season. Give him a big line and time as a pocket passer and he’ll lead any team to the playoffs. Love his background story.

They clinched their first playoff berth and AFC South Division Title for the first time since 2019 also the #4 Seed in the AFC
as a texans fan i’m glad everyone finally got to see our team felt good to play a prime time game. even if we lose in the playoffs this team will always be special we gonna be scary for years to come.
As a Panthers fan, this really makes my skin itch, but I have to give credit where credit is due. The Texans have a legit team and the fact that they were able to turn things around speaks volumes to a young roster and young coach who wanted to turn this thing around. I still believe in Bryce Young (assuming that we will get weapons around him, but considering we should've kept CMC and DJ Moore and gave up Brian Burns instead since we didn't extend him SMH), but there are better days ahead for the Texans. Congratulations and enjoy the playoffs. You fans have earned it!

I haven’t been watching NFL for as many years as most people in the comments, probably about 8 years properly in depth but Stroud is the best rookie QB I’ve ever seen. Exceptional and how he looks like he’s been playing at the highest level for years is crazy.
Remember in week 1 when HOU held their own at Baltimore and hung around deep into the 2nd half in a game many thought would be a blowout? That was a sign of things to come for these Texans

True, but it was a horrendous throw by Minshew. Goodson was wide open, all Minshew had to do was set his feet and throw it to him. Instead he threw off his back foot in a clean pocket and the ball was well behind Goodson

I sure hope so. After being a long suffering Texans fan and (Oilers fan before that) this is the most optimistic I have been for a long time. We have the pieces to start something great but then I remember how NY Jets fans thought Eric Mangini was going to lead them to a decade of future glory after his great first season as coach and then I temper my expectations but remain very hopeful for the future.

The NFL hyped up Aaron Rodgers and the New York jets. That fell apart in week one. The NFL hyped up mahomes and the whole Kelce/Taylor swift thing. Not exactly playing their best football.
