I've seen them live back in the days with the line up: Iommi, Martin, Neil Murray, Cozy Powell (R.I.P.) and of course Geoff Nicholls (R.I.P.) on keyboards.
I think he is batching songs. Going into the studio now and then and records a few songs at the same time. Otherwise it doesn’t make sense because he’s so busy touring and everything else he does. He’s a multi instrumentalist for sure and plays drums and keyboard besides guitar and bass. A deal with Santa Claus for sure, bringing him all the talent and instruments to play on since he was a kid! The headless cross was written by Sabbath looking in their fortune teller knowing T was coming! Now he’s here! 🤟💥🔥🎸
Have you checked out Chris David??? He’s the bass player for Majestica. He has his own band Wizdoom. They just dropped 2 singles “Doomed Fleet” and “Engrave”. He also has a PHENOMENAL voice!!!!
Well...he did bought an accordian last sommer though. What do you say about that? When he make a cover with that and and a metal one...i would probably see you disappear up the seiling for a bit lol.
Fellow swede Erik Grönwall covered this a while ago. You should check out his RUclips channel. He is fantastic! He's a former Swedish Idol winner and cancer survivor who has become the new lead singer of Skid Row. This song is big in Sweden. We love that satanic stuff here in Scandinavia 😊🤘🏻
1 It was the idea of Kim to cover this song. He persuaded Tommy to do it. 2 Tommy DOES play drums. 3 Somewhile ago Tommy put up a short video that he had bought an accordion and planned learning it. We are more curious of how that project is going.
Thank you so much for this background fact. I didn't know these things. But I love this song and I listened to the original, Tony Martin is a great singer. And I think you are right. Tommy knows these hidden gems, and wants to make sure they won't be forgotten. And he does is so insanely good. By the way...Tommy plays the drums....😀 he doesn't need to learn it he already plays.... I don't think there is a song in this world that he cannot make even better. Maybe he did a pact with a crossroad demon 😄
A possible reason that Tommy covered this song is that Sabaton's use of history to inspire their song writing applies to this song as well as it references the history of a village called Headless Cross.
Speaking of Black Sabbath, there was a story going around where Ian Gillan was so dissatisfied with _Born Again_ that when a journo called him for an interview he asked "was I ever in Black Sabbath?" and if they said "yes", he hung up...
Not sure about your theory of a headless cross being a T. If you watch the Black Sabbath video it’s very clear they mean a Celtic cross. If you take the head off that it’s just a post. Or a standing stone. This would make much more sense for all the occult references.
You can see him play the bass now and then in the video. At the release live stream he told that the bass he is using is a bequest from his late friend that he is honouring in his cover of Sounds of Silence. Othervise he is using plug-in för the drums etc. He always give that information in his description on the video, on which instruments he is using.
Tommy does play the drums. Check out his first version of Thunder Rising. And he played the drums in a band called Charlie Shred
And in the band The Lost Rockers 2012: Afterlife and All The Broken
This is actually one of my favourite Black Sabbath songs

Yes, Tommy plays 🥁. I have seen that more than once. Amazing guy! 🥰
I might be odd...but this is actually one of my favourites from Black Sabbath along with NIB and Paranoid.
TYR and Cross Purposes are also great, in my opinion.
My favorite day of week, Friday. Tommy and Leo day.........🤘🤘

It's so good! Tommys touch and it turns to gold!
tommy is an excellent drummer already man
Tommy wrote in the live chat for the video that brother-in-law Kim Arvidsson convinced him to do this one

Tony Martin era Sabbath is rumored to be rereleased this year.
The dark lord of riffs is proud of him
Love everything but the lyrics!!!❤️❤️🌹❤️

Tommy play drums, pretty good and probably on this track as well.
Maybe can Marko Hietala carry the flag of Finland in that battle?...
This is perfect - with Tommy channeling RJD for the vocals. Long intros were great - more Iommi, less Martin was the key here.

I think all bass, drums, and orchestration is with keyboard/computer.

@@carinarodebak9419 He plays bass in the video, but in the description it says Fredman bass (VST software).
Sing me a song you're a singer ....
