I watched this 10 years ago and made a vid with my dead cat dji quad( made a kk2 powered tricopter earlier) . Some snowflakes think drones have only been around a year or so. Fuckem.
EXACTLY for me! The one among some others that brought me to FPV and still in my top favorite list. God, how long time ago it was... brings sweet memories. I was unable to got proper FPV setup, but times are changing...
This was the first FPV video I watched. I'm a pilot and I can't do in my plane what these planes can do so I'll probably learn the sport after I finish my house, motorcycles and rebuilding my 2 airyplanes. .....Yeah I know... Too much? NEVAH !!!

Bird would chase plane then switch .. They did it 4 times.. Bird was obviously having fun. 2 cameras on the plane made the flight very interesting.

I can also kit the zeph like a maxi with foam elevons ,no spars and foam elevons for the same price as a maxi, but I find people want more not less.
I have some buddies who have had maxis and have built their zephs the same way as the maxi and they say they fly better.
Yes I know Trappy started with maxi's, but after watching him for a bit Idesigned him the zeph to be a better handling next wing thats tracks like its on railz.
And it clearly does!
Well the Maxi is a good plane,I hope it can handle the extra weight .
If you want to use light gear and a 3s 2200 then the maxi is a good choice.
If the maxi has much more power or weight then that the foam elevons are almost worthless.
Even modified maxis dont fly like a Zeph,but super lite zephs also fly aweome.
But the reason the zeph tracks so well is the tweaked air foil , the true and stiff elevons along with the weight to make it super stable.
A loaded maxi wont fly like a zeph...

I do think you are becoming sort of an adrenaline junkie and you should cool it with the risky stunts right above where ppl might be walking. You can't plan for everything like you saw with the powerlines...
In other words, maybe you should not try to keep topping yourself with more risky stuff above populated areas in 2011? Just a thought.... :)

With FPV you don't need to be outside freezing yer parts off... You can sit in the car or at home and Fly all over the place. Remote antennas help.

We have lots of snow here in North America also, flew last night trying a few new things. Isn't snow great for trying new things and having lots of plane saving crash absorption on the ground?!

@TheRitewing1 well i just got a maxi swift over the zephyr and its the best plane ive ever flown for fpv. Very slow stall speed glides sweet, last 20 minute + on only 1 2200 lipo and has no problem flying with the extra weight. Also looks sweet in the air. In english i love it and i think anyone who flies fpv should get a maxi. Oh btw Nastycop started out with a Maxi swift ;)
I agree. New York Rocked but everything about this video makes it your very best indeed. On the road bed below tree top level is a rush and the crane was really great as well. Farm Country flying has my vote! : D More Please!

@TheRealjok3r the footage you are seeing "IS" from a GOPRO so yeah, u can accomodate 2 cameras, one for fpv and one for recording
im blown away by this whole fpv thing and this is the best video iv seen yet iv been looking at the fat shark goggles but dont want too waste my money and get it wrong would you recomend them i already fly rc aircraft always dreamed of being a pilot this is as close as im gonna get i reckon :-) do you think they will bring some sort of laws in too stop it?
Brilliant, brilliant !!! Smooth and steady, wow ! Man you got to bring your gears around the world. You can make a career of this shooting exotic locations. I don't think anything else can do that, at 6 feet above the ground and at that speed. Can't stop watching with this fabulous soundtrack. I wish I had a 70 inches screen.
Hi, I realy realy like your movies, I fly rc too and I'm thinking about buying an FPV equipement too. but how do you find your way back home? There is no data on your screen. Do you know the environment that well so you know your way back?

about the same as 1/2 a pound of feathers? Wings still fly great even when loaded down. :) Low drag = great.
You know you should really paint your zephyrs black i mean It would kind of go with the whole black sheep thing but it would be harder to spot a black sheep in really far distances next to tress and dirt from 2 miles away so yeah

those people walking must e a bit freaked when a wing goes whizzing past and dissapeares into the distance up until a week or so ago i would have struggled too understand how that could happen... its tremendous :-))

through the crane, trees, power lines, rad! Is the video sped up or is accurate of the planes speed? Hell I dont even care if you were doin 10mph that is incredible flying! Love your video's!!

a setup like theirs will cost you 1-2 grand, but you can make one for cheaper (but it will have shorter video range, 1-2km) for under $500 if you know where to look.

nope, wings are actually very stable if you get the cg right. also, they're less draggy than a normal plane (no fuse/tail) and are almost indestructible too.
Whats the size difference b/w this wing and the maxi swift? You think they fly about the same?

Damn what`s the radio range of that ? Next thing you need is a phone app and use the wless network for control. With remote video, gaz tank is the limit !
