    In this 2 part series I will show Ethan the step by process of making a Rob Roy styled sporran from start to finish. Join us in the shop as we layout the initial pattern on oil skin leather and cut the pieces to shape. This is an excellent beginner leatherworking project as it is quite simple and can be sewn by hand or with a sewing machine. In part 2 I will be adding a simple tooled leather border to the flap of the sporran and show you how to make some traditional leather tassels.
    Do you want to learn how to craft leatherworking? Follow along with this DIY do-it-yourself how to make guide for how cut the pieces, punch holes, set rivets, and age and distress the metal. In this tutorial there will be tips and tricks for the beginner leatherworker so you can learn how to cut, stitch, finish the edge and install the hardware of your very own sporran.
    Check out Part 2 of the tutorial and download the patterns so you can follow along. These tutorials will be excellent for anyone looking for a fun project to do with kids. If you use these how to leather crafting tutorials, be sure to share your leather projects with us on facebook! Thanks for checking out the Drawbridge Props & Armoury RUclips channel and keep an eye out for a future leather and armour tutorials!

      I work for a consulting company and when I'm not flying all over talking to companies about cool technologies, I'm sitting in my home office planning my next trip to do the same thing again 😁. Leather working is mostly a fun hobby, but one I really enjoy

      Any Central Japanese suggestions? I’m boarding a flight to Tokyo in a couple of hours and want to check out some armour and other ancient arts.

      @@DrawbridgeProps I play my classic rock music mix all the time in my labs and one of my favourite games is to the ask the young students, "Who sang/performed that last song." Some of the answers make me laugh out loud. It's hours of entertainment for everyone. More fun than a slinky!!

    David Bowie sang "A Space Oddity" ("Ground control to Major Tom..."). Elton John sang "Rocket Man". I'm not really sure what Ethan was singing...

    • @DrawbridgeProps
      @DrawbridgeProps  4 года назад

      Clearly we really didn’t know either. :) My music knowledge is the brunt of everyone’s jokes. If you had told me he was singing the beetles I would have believed him. And I recently learned that “Radiohead” is a band, not a small town in BC.

    Told you it was Elton John. I only new 2 words of the song but...... still more than Levi 🤣

  • @equesdeventusoccasus
    @equesdeventusoccasus 4 года назад

    Both, but Elton John did it first. However, Bowie did it best.
    (It's like Bob Dylan wrote & sang "Blowing in the Wind" but I would far rather hear Michael Jackson sing it.)
