Small correction: additional proj doesn't affect secondary projectiles. It just gives you additional primary proj which then always "explode" into 3 (or 4 with helm enchant) secondary proj. It's still one of the best single scalars for TS.

@@ncc1709Omni is generally kinda core/bare minimum for TS if not most bow builds (that aren’t dex stacking or other, equivalently expensive archetypes)
I’m not saying subtractem can’t make a 5-10 div budget version, the guys a flippin genius, but also… it’s possible that this isn’t really an “on a budget” build if you want it to be bearable to play

@@flipnshifty I mean my eDPS Tornado Shot fucks all content & did up to.. Wave 25-26 Simulacrum without like practically any investment except for Bow Lol And I don't even have a Rampage + Tornado Bow. I also don't even have a HH, I do have a Inspired Learning but das it. Got about like 7-10mil dps with a 1.3k eDPS bow. Also got 10 arrows without a +2 arrow bow or a +1 arrow Quiver. So 1 arrow fires 3 additional proj. With helm enchant it gives 4 instead of 3. So you get 40 additional secondary projectiles which those can shotgun & is why Tornado Shot typically remains as one of the best/THEE best bow skill
I also have nearly 200 Proj speed on mine. Oh! And mine isn't an Omni variant either
@@flipnshifty It does because THIS is peak Tornado Shot. This is the end goal for EVERYONE that plays Tornado Shot. Cause most people will go from Lightning Arrow, MF with it to farm the currency to either buy Phys to Cold convert TS or this kind of Omni TS. Then you have people like me, who're minimalist who love even just the eDPS version of TS. No one is going to show the process if getting a TS build up & running. We alrrady have plenty of those kinds of videos with Grimro primarily & Fuzzy Duckzy
Imagine he makes an int stacker or a 5way carry. I bet that would be fun but then again int stacker isnt as Popular as TS
Ultimately, at the very high end, I think bows are kind of just cracked for PvE because at some point, damage stops mattering entirely (crazy high delve depths notwithstanding, which is its own meta that's basically defined by manabond hierophant and boneshatter juggs, if I'm not mistaken), so once the damage stops mattering, then coverage is the name of the game, and tornado shot, as you demonstrated, has obscene coverage. I'm not sure how that compares to Lightning Arrow, though.
Also, FWIW, the "cast tornado on tshot" crucible tree thing can be replicated with CoC tornado in a manaforged setup. I.E. frenzy-manaforged-PCoC-CoC-Tornado-culling strike, but the coc/tornado does take up two links which could be used for a curse setup, blind, hydrosphere, etc.
LA has even better clear, especially due to Vengeant Cascade but does require some aiming and has slightly less damage from the lack of shotgunning effect. The 50% convert to lightning makes it subpar at abusing hatred aura effect.

I’m nitpicking but yeah :)
you are wrong about getting additional secondary projectiles from +proj modifiers. TS explicitly stated, and you can check the poewiki, that modifiers to projectile count only apply to the initial primary arrow. while overall yes you get more secondary proj in virtue of having more primary projectiles, each primary projectile still only shoots out 3 secondary projectiles.
this is why the +1 (+2 in standard) secondary projectile helmet enchantment is so good, it helps increase the consistency of the skill on single targets by making it less likely the secondary projectiles will whiff and all miss the enemy (it goes from a larger radial angle between secondary projectiles to a smaller angle as they are shot out equidistant from one another).
it's also why bigger enemies tend to take significantly more damage from TS on average, because if aimed correctly it's physically impossible for all secondary projectiles from a given primary projectile to miss, especially with the helmet enchant.
Sorry yeah that was just a misspeak as I was talking about it, had just come off a conversation with a friend about barrage and +proj and fumbled my words. I'll pin a comment with the correction!

barrage scaling off additional projectiles is another thing entirely, it's kind of wild how it doesnt lose aps per projectile compared to the support gem.

Don’t know about for this league cuz I haven’t had time to play due to work but last league fuzzyduckzy had a guide starting at 10 div I used it to farm all the way up to 100 ish divines investment into the build with 50 or so spare that I was saving for a hh that ended up never happening
a friend leaguestarted as tornado shot, it's actually fairly good.
To think that havy strike is a skill gem as well... There are worlds in between them.
I have always loved TS and it was rough that it was so bad for YEARS. Glad to play it again.
Now I feel like playing Tornado Shot next league. I was going to play it this league, started as LA AB, but didn't change the build because vengeant cascade was really fun.
Would it be possible to see the DPS differences of the tornado shot lab enchants? I could swear the flat 40% damage increase is the most dps? Is this the case?
The additional projectile enchant allows additional arrows to hit a single enemy, dramatically increasing your DPS. It is always the correct option.
The +1 can be up to 33% more damage by virtue of having a 33% more chance of hitting with each primary projectile, while the 40% increased damage is just that - a flat 40% increase (which is probably just like 5% more damage)
Would love to see a full Phys to Cold TS Build Guide. Most Guides show Elemental LA and then kinda drop you to figure upgrades out yourself. Would be really interested to see a crafting guide for Phys TS items. Great video as always!

Farmed my first mirror from scratch this league to mirror Sushi's 0 cost bow on a TS magic finder that eventually got so juicy it could do all Uber bosses with good dodging. In love with this skill!
I really hope that you make this into a series. It's a really good video that breaks down the concepts of the build in a very digestible manner.
I haven't really seen these types of PoE videos on RUclips, and haven't really found another platform that does this, yet. It's really interesting to learn stuff like this, even after having played for a lot of hours.

Every time I watch a video showcasing PoE's amazing builds I wonder why anyone even bothers to play the Diablo franchise. Especially when this game is Free.
The catch is, paying for the tabs and you will need them. And every new league start it seems you need to buy a map tab to use for that league... GGG is smart hooking people to microtransactions.
If you make this a series you should do KB next. TS, KB and Worb are the top 3 skills of all time until they gutted Worb.

You are using the single best TS bow in existence, though. So if it wasn't godly, it would be disappointing, hehe.
But you are on point, TS is the best with the right gears.

The only thing I need to mention here is that bow skills do have the one downside that you cannot afk. If you're not shooting, you're not dealing damage which means looting while clearing the map can be a little annoying. Also you usually die if you stop shooting. The stutter step Playstyle is also something you have to get used to a little. Just my 2 cents, I love TS, I just think the caveats should be mentioned
Deaths oath + bows is still my fav build because of that even if ts smashes the dps by a lot
With that much damage, you can comfortably change a support gem from TS with Mirage Archer. That helps with the dying part when you stop shooting.
And that's why I play HoT

No you don't. Makes the game boring af when you're THAT powerful after about 20 minutes. It's only fun to use to earn currency fast enough to start making alts builds viable.

I think this series would be vastly improved by showing various expectations of this build. E.g. "this is what the build will look like at the end of the campaign", "this is what it should look like in white maps, yellow maps, red maps" "here's the chase build" etc. People watching this video are likely not going to see one mirror let alone several, so seeing this will just forever make the viewer dissatisfied by their own build. Just a thought
I do that for builds that Im explaining or going out of my way to recommend. This is just me exploring a very well known build, not even explaining all the mechanics or how to make it.
And all it takes is a JeNebu synth mirrored bow hitting for 1000+ average damage with +2 arrows fracture. You know, something over 99% of all bow players will never have.
This bow was very specifically not from tft.

i've loved a lot of bow skills but never T swift...i never make enough money in a league to spend it to make it feel as good as other bow skills, especially the newly buffed ones. such a gorgeous sink of a build to try, and i think it's a pretty iconic PoE skill cuz it lends itself to absurd scaling in multiple ways. good vid but next time just put a pic of that bow for 16 mins jfc crucible will be missed

Also, how do you get additional arrows? I’m a Dualist so no Archer ascendant skills.

You couldn’t kill Massier around 9:00 because he spawns only after you get closer to him (pass through that „gate” probably), not when you enter the arena.

"omi started the bro revolution" bro tornado shot was the meta end game skill since since 1.2 when it came with untainted paradise its only just got easier to league start but its always been the SSS+ end game build. Even more so when you consider how slow builds were back then xD The only thing that ever came close to mirror tier mapping + bossing would be lightning arrow when it shotguned off ice wall.
Hi..iam new to poe and have started to build my tornado shot ranger..but my problem for my tornado shot is, max i can get only 7 secondary projectile even with all passives tat give extra projectiles(no ascendancy yet)..can anyone tell me how i can increase the number of my secondary projectile?

Never played the game, but based on what im seeing, the game doesn't seem fun. Maybe i'm wrong, maybe it takes a LONG time to get to the point where you 1 shot everything. But even then...

I remember some Standard player making showcase how his legacy geared character could not handle Feared. Must be a bait?
With Grimro being gone TS is way2go skill for SnooBae, his MF farmer (red map viable, altairs) was quite refreshing for someone who used Windripper with IIQ gems on low level maps.
If you can't do the feared with a well geared TS character...your build is just bad. This build hits over a billion damage at the highest investment which kills non-ubers in less than a second.
I get it, but that looks boring af.. .. Just remove all challenge in the game??

I never have the patience to reach this level of powerhouse, but i do love see these content!!
i tried building ts deadeye last patch but couldn't get it to work properly mainly because the bow is a PITA to craft and too expensive to buy. the build only becomes nice to play at around the 50 div mark whereas other builds like RF becomes smooth once you get explode corpses at around the 10 div mark.
you may be off screening mobs and whats not but you are still going to die to one shots like eldritch altar meteors etc. its a cool build to play but unlike other low entry level builds, many ppl give up half way with TS because it requires so much investment. its kind of worst than COC FR when it comes to investment.
You don't league start ts, you convert to it once you have a good omni setup. If you try something like lightning arrow before the 50 div mark its gonna be very different :) .There is also way cheaper variant (less effective ofc but perfectly fine). A decent tri element bow for exemple is easy to craft.

I have some issues with this video - Don't get me wrong, love your content and love to see you playing such a high end build.
Ensnaring arrow won't be active on any boss. You have sniper's mark and that prevents it from activating the ensnared debuff (20% increased damage taken on enemy)
You got the mechanics wrong on secondary projectiles. They are only scaled by the enchant. At some point you said something like 15 x 15 arrows per shot

You mention that medium clusters are the best way to scale damage, but that's not actually true at all - they just give a good game feel through a lot of bonus projectile speed.
For examples of things that scale better, the elemental mastery 'Hits have 25% chance to treat Enemy Monster Elemental Resistance values as inverted' is 12.4% more dps, and you're 4 points from that. Each medium cluster takes 4 points (The 3 points of value + the socket that you're spending). The 4 points including the pathing to it is 15.2% dps, or around there. Where a medium cluster jewel setup is only something like 10% more dps.
If you had optimized large clusters they're usually better per point value than mediums. 4% attack speed + 16% increased damage + 10 omni is really strong, and you can get life there too :D
Would love to see you go a bit deeper into the mechanics and grow your understanding. I really like when people explore fully optimized builds and explain them in layman's terms.

Thats why the build costs multiple mirrors. The bow took close to 300 mirrors to make for the guy who crafted it.
bow builds will be nerfed heavily next league i guess. and rightfully so. just that interaction of manaforged arrow to sustain both frenzy & power charges is absurd..
When u one shot a tough boss it is the best feeling. But when u don't oneshot the next thing it is the worst... That's why I play weak non meta builds I never oneshot anything. Problem SOLVED!

you wont get this gear if youre not 24/7 no life. Dont worry, tornado shot on low-high gear is trash and only used for magic find in maps. Only gets absurd with 2-10 mir budget.

Almost nothing compares to the feel of a high investment Tornado Shot, it is THE skill to use when you have a lot of currency. Others may have more damage but nothing will have the multiple screen clear and speed of TS, there's a reason why it's been king for years.

i don't know if new support is a hint that they will change returning arrow from annoitment or not but if it is lighting arrow will be less exciting to play . maybe ill try tornado instead.
Hi hi I have a question i built a deaeye tornado shot and i got Occupying Force and Endless Munitions on the avs3ntion tree , for my next two notables whoch ones do u think i must get ? Im thinking of far shot and focal point , but idk if those added damage numbers really give me that pernetage or damage or lower in actual dps .

Another reason it's so popular is because it has no price limit or price ceiling. You can invest in it all league and still not be at max power.

Elemental tornado shot is so fun, with omni (personally dont like MF so any build with mf is out of my thoughts, since i tried snoobae poison tornado shot, and lightning arrow mf with HH, it feels so awful). If in a league my first character is ranger, 100% when i have enough currency i would go for omni tornado shot, it just feels too good, dont need aiming like lightning arrow/ice shot, although kinda squishy but hey, if you delete them first they cant delete you.
