Great video! I love how you shared your journey with the new camera and the exciting updates for your channel. The upcoming Fuji event sounds like a fantastic opportunity, and I'm sure your insights will be invaluable to attendees. Looking forward to seeing your creative projects with the Horseman VH field camera and the unique compositions you plan to capture. Keep up the amazing work!
I am working with a Horseman VH and have learned, that the required technical skills are identical with those, required for 4x5 and 8x10 cameras. Sheetfilm for this format is still available! (Foma 100) but it is also possible to cut 4x5 sheetfilm. I have used a super angulon 65 mm, proper focusing was too difficult, replaced it by a 75 mm. Your 210 mm can be mounted on an extended lenspanel, that makes focusing more comfortable. An underrated camera! The format will probably make a comeback when filmprices go up again!
Oh true!! Figured 6x9 sheet film had long since disappeared! Will likely stick to the rolls for simplicity though. Yeah I have a few extended lens boards on my watchlist if I find it difficult with the 210, I suspect the 105 will be the most used though. Been eyeing up some Nikkor and Fujinon 65mm lenses too, but we’ll see how it goes - the coatings have a bit of wear on it so might be sooner rather than later. Would love to see your work on the Horseman, have found some cool stuff by someone on Reddit but haven’t seen them post in a while. Feel free to link your work here :)
Have you tried mounting a Nikon W 150mm f/5.6 lens Copal #0 on the factory lens board? I would really like to buy a Horseman VH 6x9 Camera if I can use it with a Nikon W Lens.
Thanks Jarred. I remember thinking tilt shift was black magic when I first read about it as a kid. I couldn't understand why everyone wasn't using a field camera at the time 😂😂
Hah. T/S lenses for non view/field cameras like the Mamiya RZ67 have been a thing for a long time too. Not sure what Sony has to offer but I can even get them for my GFX now! You could always adapt the Canon EF mount ones if you got really keen on playing with it.
😂 Still, they’re a cool thing to have - if not a bit of a curse as well. I won a Pro-200 back in 2022, will need to find space for it in the new house!

Hi
Nice video.
I live in St Bathans. We should catch up sometime. I shot mostly film from HF to 8x10.
Best
Hi Murray, yeah for sure! Flick me a message via one of the links in my about section and we’ll tee something up 👍
Done. Sent to email. I’m old school 😂

Nah not one I’ve tried yet - from what I can tell most copal 0 lenses will fit as long as the rear element gets into the bellows.
@@JarredSpec Thank You for the information.
Nice work, looking forward to seeing the tilt shift in action .
Thanks man! Gonna be a great tool to use I think!!!

Nick Carver has a lot to answer for including my reckless purchase of an A3 Canon printer

Why did Jarred buy a new camera? Same reason people climb mountains: Because it's there. 😀
Shhhhhhhhhhh 😂
