Great idea to use the magnets❣️I enjoy seeing your creations even when they’re incomplete. That’s such a cute Horny Toad character. I can appreciate your great workmanship in creating the very sturdy body parts. 👍 😍❤️😍
❤ I'm a doll maker in South Africa and I used to do the magnetic heads when my eldest son was little (24yrs ago). He was such an expressive and visual little boy, so one day I decided to make "all" the characters from his favourite book and QUICKLY learned that that would be a massive undertaking 😂, so I made one body and each characters head and he would change them up as I read to him😂😂😂. It became a challenge the more books he wanted. But I absolutely love your work and love watching your channel!!! (I fixed a short dowel in the centre of the magnet attached to the body and had a opening in each head at the center where the magnet has that hole, it kept the head in place so my son didn't slide the magnets off each other when he turned the heads. (Golly you brought back some good memories for me today 😊)
@@shanimarais9695 Thanks for sharing - what a great story! Reminds me of topsy-turvey dolls times 10. 😆 I suspect you wouldn't need the dowel if you used rare earth magnets - they are super strong! I don't think they were available then... Your story highlights the creativity of artists & craftspeople everywhere - we figure it out!
i’m on a coffee break from cleaning and decluttering my fabric craft closet….and this dropped in my feed. 😊
