The fact Volk could go from Rugby to training MMA at 22 and still being one of the highest skilled fighters in the world is insane. I’m also from Rugby
I think both Stipe and Jones have told Dana they are retiring and they're all keeping it hushed to sell the fight. It would explain Dana's recent Jones glazing too. Only public ridicule will make Jones hang around. He's been historically quite affected by what the fans think of him, which is why he cares so much about that "perceived" 0 on his record and puts on the fake religious act. The most popped champion in ufc history and the only fighter to cause the cancelation of a ufc event. He's not as dominant when he cant size-bully his opponent. I'm a bit disappointed Tom hasn't brought up the PED use because he said Anderson Silva isnt in the GOAT discussion for the same reason.
Tom has been too nice I agree, but if Dana had already been told they’d retire, why’s he constantly diminishing all his other stars just to promote someone that’s got 1 fight left

11:30 😂 Tell me he is wrong though lol. He isnt. Tom IS the guy. Nothing matters until the interim title holder fights the title holder. WTF are we doing?! This isnt Boxing. Unified Heavyweight Division is right here for the making!!
It's crazy. Dana has the dug the UFC into a weird hole with the HW division. They're both going to fight then retire and we're left with a gaping hole. Massive opportunity missed.
It's mad that a fight in Australia is taking place at the exact same time that 304 in Manchester took place. Are they fighting at 10am in Perth or something?
S.A. play Aus in the Rugby in Perth this weekend and there's already quite a few South Africans living in Perth too. The atmosphere should be electric. Izzy looks like he's had plenty to of horse meat though. There's only one reason to "retire" for a year, look at McGregor. We'll see if the break has been worth it.
My theory: Jon jones and Stipe will retire, regardless of the winner. Alex and Tom fighting for the undisputed title afterwards. That’s why Alex hasn’t fought Magomedov yet.
Adjacent theory..., they see it as a sneaky way to get an extra PPV out of Perriera because they know Ankalaev is going to derail the hype train. They don't want Perreria moving up but losing to Tom is better for his rep than losing the LHW belt.

Let’s have a bit of fun and imagine Ugo starts intensive mma training for the next year ,enters the UFC and takes out his first 3 opponents in the first round and Tom is reigning HW champ….😎
Adam's incorrect about the Guida / Sanchez fight. They weren't fighting for UFC contracts. While this event was indeed an Ultimate Fighter finale, Guida and Sanchez were added onto that card as the main event. Both fighters had already been in the UFC for a while. This was Guida's 9th fight, Sanchez's 12th fight. Sanchez goes all the way back to The Ultimate Fighter Season 1. He beat Kenny Florian in the finale, although as we all know, the fight that stole the show that night was Griffin vs. Bonnar.

Hes roasting the wrong guy, Stipe even said he would fight Jon without the belt on the line. Its literally just Dana and Jon that are holding up the division.
It's a good way to sell the trilogy fight though. Tom still says he's the most dangerous matchup in the division for him. Hopefully Curtis demolishes his next opponent. He was clipping Tom enough for him to throw his gameplan out the window. I like Curtis but this was the one result that Jones didn't want to see so I'm okay with it
Even Big Tom saying DDP has skill discrepancies. I do not understand how Du Plessis has gotten to the top of the sport. He looks bad and wins.
