I have an Esee 4 tactical. It's one of my favorite fixed blade carries but, the only part I don't like is that choil. A longer edge would've been better in my opinion. I am not a choil fan. It takes length away from the edge. I ate those words when I got my V44X but that's really the only choiled knife I like. It's perfectly made for hands like mine (thank you Reese)! I agree with your reasoning for keeping the choil off of the V44C. Your hand's right there by the edge and the size is very controllable already. The knife makes sense... Looking forward to having one!!!
cool video. I've always wanted my knife to be sharp no matter what style it is. And I think I'll make one like the second from the bottom. Looks like it would be a good skinning knife.
@@wellregulated8725 Cool. I like the way it looks, and I bet it feels good to handle. I've made a bunch of knives for people. Family mostly. like using old saw blades or messed up plow disks. But I will grab a chunk of mild steel (rebar mostly) and go to town. If you don't mind, I'd like to try making your design for my sister's husband. He could use a better skinning knife. Yeah, your design and that big honking knife are way to cool. Not sure what I'd do with the big one. Not in the military anymore... otherwise....
